[ If anyone's asking (and Birkhoff is, somewhere, along with some choice expletives) the plan is going perfectly. A Stark party isn't the easiest infiltration target - they've stepped up their game since an incident two years ago. Even her pet nerd doesn't really like hacking into their interface to get her a pass, so the old-fashioned way it is. She hangs off the arm of a biochemist, keeping him just occupied enough as she keeps her eye on the crowd. One of the smaller adjoining rooms looks like the perfect place to corner her target. ]

[ What's not part of the plan? The host himself (rudely, though Nikita barely blinks at it) cutting in at the last moment, assuming she's there for the refreshment. Minor annoyance, really, but she's on the clock, careful not to look back at the target's retreating back too many times. Meeting Stark could mean trouble if he remembers her face. ]

[ And then there's the fact that the door locks and people on the other side start screaming. ]

[Her time with the Inquisition had been short so far, as she'd joined their ranks only briefly to lend her support. With the Elder One manipulating the Wardens, she felt it was her duty to step in and do something, even if she was potentially incapable of attacking the creature directly. She could help train the soldiers to fight Darkspawn, however, and that would have to be enough. She's spent most of her time meandering between the practice fields, the library, and the rookery, preferring to spend as much time with her lover as possible before she would inevitably depart.

As for Cullen, it's not that she's been avoiding him so much as she's been...tiptoeing around really talking to him. It's not until there's word of Samson and what has happened to many of the other Templars that she ignores all the cautionary instincts and simply goes to his office, knocking on the door.]
