These days, it's uncommon to have a servant. The wealthy have them, of course, but some of them even eschew that to have a sort of pride in being self-sufficient. Rarer still are the personal servants, the ones bound to just one person and taking care of their every need. They make sure their master or mistress is dressed, fed, and all their affairs are in order. They may double as a bodyguard or personal assistant in other functions, as well. This type of servant was much more common back in the day.

But today, you have one. You've always had one. Or may, you are one, loyal to your employer to the core.

Perhaps you're more of a vassal than a servant, then. You serve because of duty and love; you've been raised to know this your duty for your entire life. Your family has been tied to this family for generations. You could have even been summoned by magic, your whole purpose to serve.

And even if you're not a "true" servant in the sense of the word, there's always people who look out for others. You know the person in the group of friends. They seem bound to the hip to that one specific person, usually someone who actually does need the help, and acts as a mother hen to them. Yes, you're that person.

It all sounds simple enough, then. The problem? The relationship between master and servant has been blurred, and the feelings and bonds here have grown more than they should. The servant doesn't just love the master, they love the master. And it's not that much of a stretch to think that the gesture is reciprocated. But this is an ultimate taboo. Power differences, societal expectations, and conflicts of interest mean that there's a whole mess that can be made. If that line hasn't been crossed yet, keep dancing it. Try to back off, if you can. Do not cross the line. Do not become...more.

If more has come, you are in danger. Will it interfere with the ability of the servant to serve? Will they envy all those in higher stations who can get close to their master? And what about the nature of their relationship being exposed? Others will not be as kind, and there could even be punishment ahead should the wrong eyes fall upon the truth. After all, a servant and a master have been so close, in close quarters. There is no knowing what could have happened.

HOW:
- Comment with your character and preferences.
- Mention if you'd like your character to be a servant/vassal or otherwise.
- Tag others.
- Thread out forbidden affairs and one character taking care of the other.

Tony liked watching him move. Whether it was a simple task like getting a glass for a drink or even picking up clothes that Tony scattered all over the floor. Somewhere around age ten or eleven, he just knew he liked letting his eyes follow the slightly elder teen wherever he went. Right now, they traced the blonde's movements through his rooms as he tried to gather the laundry and pick up the area.

All of it seemed so mechanical sometimes even if his servant had a fluid grace that shot through his veins like a tingly fire that pooled in his stomach. That started showing up when he was about fourteen. Most of the other servants had never been impressed with the blonde servant. They didn't see why Tony picked him all those years ago when his father gave him his pick of any he wanted. But heir to the Stark family saw something in beautiful blue eyes even if the boy himself had been a bit on the scrawny side and a little sickly. As time went on, Steve changed. What didn't change was how much Tony adored him.

"You know, he won't be back for at least two weeks. He doesn't rush his visits when he goes to India." Where he tended to pick up the uniforms for the servants and doll them up just right for show and tell to other nobles that came to visit. Tony couldn't say the clothing was ugly. Not exactly kind or thoughtful to the servants, but lovely in their exotic looks. "You don't have to rush about like he will come in here at any second."

Howard scrutinized Steve the most because Tony favored him. So far, he'd had no reason to toss the blonde out. But that didn't mean his servant needed to always rush about like he'd be hurt or sent away any moment. "You could eat breakfast with me... That would be time better spent and you'd quit making me feel tired watching you run about like a hyper retriever."

It was odd for someone of Ezreal's position to be so close to the Princess. Primarily he acted as the Grandmaster Explorer of the Kingdom, trailblazing to new lands in search of... whatever there was to be found. He was also supposed to map his travels out but he was notorious for disregarding that part of his duty.

Secondarily, he was Princess Anna's personal bodyguard. The first time he'd come to her rescue was just a case of being in the right place at the right time, an act of good will rather than anything else. Then it had become his duty, and swiftly after that he began to protect her out of love.

Personally, Ezreal had no problem being with the Princess, but he also knew it wasn't appropriate.

It was inappropriate for Anna to be hunting him down in the dim and dusty corners of the castle's immense library, where only Ezreal ever had business, to give him her affections. But that didn't mean Ezreal ever tried to stop her. No, the spry young man that he was, he was all too happy to be intimate with his Princess.

Well. Usually. Ezreal could always be found in the less-traveled areas of the library for a reason, for the same reason that he was the Grandmaster Explorer. He was in love with discovery, with learning things no one else knew. So there were a couple of instances where he chose a dusty tome over Anna.

"You couldn't wait until your outing later this afternoon?" This wasn't one of those instances. The question was made after he parted from a sloppy kiss, arms draped around Anna's waist. "We'll be alone, then."
