Sex is nice, yet it's no connection if there's no investment. You can have all sorts of sex and still be as alone as can be.

It's terrible to be so lonely, isn't it? There may be those of you who think you are just fine without someone to love, but you're truly not. Even if you have a significant other, ~~they may not be played~~ they could very well not be here in this massive multiverse with you - and that's just as good as being alone. No one deserves that feeling, not from the very kindness to the worst people in the world. There should be someone for everyone!

This is easy enough to achieve. Just a change in a few lines of code, really...

You wake up in a room in a home that could be describe as your ideal, whatever that is. Modern, old-fashioned, futuristic, the setting is whichever you would be most comfortable with. Yet this new environment is not the most important feature here; instead, that honor goes to the fact that you are not alone. You are sharing this place, which seems familiar like a far-off dream, with another person. This person claims to be your significant other. But that can't be right, can it? You don't know them at all, they have to be crazy.

Still, they want to love you, show affection, be intimate, like they claim you two "always are." That's...nice. Suddenly, you feel less alone, even if you never knew you felt that way before. And the sex - the sex is mind-blowing. There's emotional weight, there's contentment, there are arms to hold you and make you feel wanted.

Perhaps they're right. This is where you belong. After all, you're starting to remember, too, and everything is seeming more and more familiar.

For just a little while, why not have some peace?

How to Play

Some happiness for characters before the end of the year. Or some existential crises. However you'd like to play it.
Comment with your character, preferences, kinks, and any other information you'd like to include. Also, if you have a strong inclination to play the person waking up in the environment or the "significant other," clarify.
Reply to others.
Feel free to tweak the setting, the premise, or anything else. Pick any time during the scene or make up any ulterior motives there could be. Fluffy or sinister, take your pick!
Just use this to whatever end you'd like. Have fun!

( either role. in the significant other role, she'll think anyone who doesn't know her is a. teasing/being cruel to her or b. being brainwashed by the enemy. it's a Thing that happens to her friends and lovers, unfortunately. )

( she's actually done this as the significant other before...in a dream belonging to her series' protagonist, during a probably non-canon OVA that wasn't translated into English until a year or two ago.

( probably the "significant other," if you need someone to show your character tons of kindness and comfort them. she's a healer by nature and by training, so it's kind of her thing. )

(Maybe the result of a wish? Maybe a trick! Can be the one waking up or the significant other. Or they've both been tossed into it equally confused/compelled. Most kinks are fine, from the most vanilla to much darker kinks if you'd rather go that way. For the non-sexual situations, open both to a fluffy utopia situation or a sinister situation one or both of them need to break out of.

Another possibility is that it's an answer to their secret desires, so they are faced with a crisis over whether to try to escape or accept what they wanted)

[Serge will be waking up to find Kid curled tightly against his side, hair loose and an arm draped over his chest. She seems quite content to still be asleep, breathing evenly with a small smile on her face.

If this is at all strange, she certainly doesn't seem to be aware of it.]

[When Serge wakes up, he smiles at the sight of his girlfriend. For all her big talk of kicking people to the moon, her cute side was always a delight to see, made only better with her hair down like that.

He shuffles a bit in the bed, moving onto his side and leaning forward to plant a kiss on her temple.]

[The movement causes her to shift a little as well, brow furrowing at the disruption of her peaceful beauty sleep. Feeling the soft pressure to her temple gets her to relax again, but she still wrinkles her nose a little as she peels her eyes open. Greeted with the sight of her boyfriend, she simply smiles.]

G'mornin'.

[He returns the smile, hands moving to wrap around her frame and bringing her closer to him.]

Mornin', mate.

[He couldn't resist.]

[She grins at that, even as she indignantly thwaps a fist against his chest.]

Oi, you makin' fun o' me??

[He laughs a bit, playfully twitching against her fist.]

Thought I'd give it a try for once!

Well, it doesn't suit ya, mate! [Except it was kind of cute. As if she'd ever say that to him, though.]

Rememba, I'm the cute one here.

Of course! [He ruffles a hand through her long hair as he said so.]

Long hair suits you as well!

[She wrinkles her nose even as she settles back in against him, then lets out a short sigh and relaxes into the touch of his hand in her hair.]

Yea? You're only noticin' now that it ain't tied up, eh?

Noticed it for a while now. You just never had it down like that whenever we traveled.

[Save for the Hydra Dagger incident of course, but best not to mention that.]

[We don't talk about the Hydra Dagger incident. Partially because it was really confusing for Kid.]

Hmm. [She leans her head back into his touch for a moment. She does enjoy it. It feels nice.] Ya like it better like this?

[Felt good to see her like this more and more. He nodded at her words.]

To be honest, yeah, but I also like you being you even more.

[That makes her cheeks burn a little and she thwaps at him again, this time on the arm.]

Where'd ya go and get all these cheesy lines from??

[He flinches at that one. Well, that one hurt more. Still worth it to see her cheeks burn; payback for all the times she teased him.]
