It's an old trope, admittedly, but an understandable one. You're hurt - physically or emotionally - and perhaps even on the brink of death. And then, out of the blue, someone saves you and brings you back. They heal you, they feed you, cloth you, wash you. In the human mind, the intimacies can bring up warm feelings, even in the hardest of hearts. Will you fight them or let them grow? And what about when it's time to leave? You may not feel like leaving your angel...

HOW TO PLAY
1. Comment with your character and preferences. Mention if you'd prefer to play the healer or the healed - or both, for greatest versatility!

How would she feel about playing doctor to a demon? A bit of background info on Nick, his "father" implanted a demon as he was born and thus he has no soul, he is a demon inside a human body who was raised as a human without any of his memories (Though he has those back now). He tries hard to be human for his brother but he lacks the understanding of why humans do what they do and can be a bit of a smartass asshole.

[This is not the most sterile-looking place a girl could possibly wake up in. There are walls, stained and peeling. There's a window, just clean enough to let a few watery rays of orange sunlight through. There's the silence, tense and stretched thin enough across the smell of smoke for a loud noise to tear through any second now.

And there's a pale-looking young man right beside the creaking bed, leaning over with a mild but honest look of concern.]

So far up north the winters tend to be cold and snowy, temperatures always dropping well below freezing and snow piling up as deep as the knees or more. Lakes and rivers freeze over, yet rarely is the ice so thick as to safely hold up a person that is not an elf, no matter the impression it may give of being solid and strong. Though sometimes that impression is convincing even for those who have lived all their lives by these waters, sometimes all it takes is a single mistake, a single small detail missed for a tragedy to happen.

Or almost happen.

Luck has it, or perhaps fate, that the day this mistake is made Bard is not alone, but rather in the company of an elf, and a friend. When the ice breaks Legolas is not quite fast enough to pull him away, before the freezing depths take Bard, but he can at least risk getting in the water himself to grab him and pull him out onto thicker ice and further onto solid ground. Gasping and shivering himself, but still in a better shape than Bard himself. Elves are, after all, somewhat more resilient to the cold, something that shows even at the first glance when one sees the light way they dress even when the temperatures drop so low. So it's not for his own sake that Legolas hurries, a hint of frantic panic - an entirely unusual feeling for him - here and there, but for the sake of the mortal friend.

And this is the story of how Bard found himself in the grand halls of the Woodland Realm. The room basked in amber lights hanging off the walls, all of it carved out from warm wood and stone, with a myriad of other colours thrown in. Rich reds and greens, some silvers, and deep browns. The bed is almost a nest of a sort, with various pillows and thick furs for blankets. During his unconsciousness he was transported here, carried in the arms of the Prince himself for a large part of the way, to be true, and here to stay for a little while for here they have the best means to treat him. Messengers have been sent to his children already, with apologies and means for them to support themselves in their father's absence.

First things first, however, the wet clothing has been stripped and fire started in the chamber making it feel quite toasty warm. And so Bard may wake up to a warm hand pressing into his face, a concerned elf looming over him with hair already dry spilling on the sides of his face, the other hand holding on to Bard's wrist, fingers at the veins and feeling the heartbeat.
