All of you are always so busy, running around with your world saving and/or world conquering. It's time to take a break, isn't it? And there's no better place than a five-star restaurant.

You don't want to go to a five star restaurant, you say? TOO BAD.

The first thing guests will notice upon walking in are the mouth-watering smells drifting from the kitchen; if you weren't hungry before, you will be now. The next thing you will notice is that your outfit has been changed to fit the setting, something dapper and stylish, a nice dress perhaps, or maybe a pressed shirt and pair of slacks. This is one restaurant serious about its dress code!

The decor of the establishment itself has been tastefully done. The lighting has been lowered just enough to create a cozy atmosphere and a candle burns on every table. Music plays in the background, soothing, forgettable instrumentals soft enough not to distract from conversation. Overall the setting is classy, but not pretentious, and very comfortable.

Business is in full swing, but your wait is brief and the maître d’ appears quickly to escort you to your table, a nicely private u-shaped booth. As you look over the chef's carefully selected menu, it seems you will be in store for a very pleasant dining experience indeed.

Of course, you won't be having it alone for long. Soon after your beverage has been ordered, the maître d’ reappears with another guest and an apologetic explanation that all the tables are full and they promised everyone a meal tonight, so won't you please share your booth? He then cheerfully bids you both a pleasant evening and leaves before either of you have time to object.

Surprise! The restaurant is actually setting patrons up on blind dates! You could both leave, but that would be very rude, wouldn't it? And it's such a nice place, maybe love is on the menu, after all...

[OOC: Your regular blind date type scenario, though this meme has a bit of magic pull to make characters stay when they usually wouldn't, and an aphrodisiac to move the date in a more... amorous direction.

The point of this meme/open post is to tag around (the perfect opportunity for some crazy cross-overs!), hence it's completely random pairing aspect and the "blind date" part. Still, set your posts up as usual:

[Anders stops as he's led to an already occupied table, uncertainty clouding his face for a brief moment. He'd been rather hoping to eat alone, since he's not certain how this place will react to his appearance and coin, so slipping out the exit might be prudent at some point. But the man in charge seemed entirely calm about it all, possibly something to do with how just walking into the building somehow saw Anders now wearing something much cleaner and nicer than his robes had been, and he was rather hungry. Things could be a lot worse.

So, with a charming smile directed at his companion, he slid into the booth as well.]

Well, this should be cozy, shouldn't it? Nothing like a little company over a nice meal, yes? I'm Anders.

Not that this place is harboring a drug dealer, mind you. It's not that simple. They do, however, happen to have a third of the chemical ingredients used to make a new methamphetimine that, in this restaraunt at least, are used to create a specialized whipped topping for their award-winning desserts. The recipe is closely guarded so naturally, one of the staff is smuggling spices out a little bit at a time. He needs that supplier. Which is why he bothered cominng in as a patron at all.

He isn't happy at all at the prospect of sharing a table, as he hadn't even planned on eating; the host is given a sound lashing all the way to the table (mostly in regards to the man's jilted wife who he has clearly left for the man with which he's had a 2 year affair) and is ready to demand to see the manager -- right up until he's standing before the already-seated River Song.

Without another word to the now-forgotten host Sherlock takes a seat across from her, looking her over. ]

[Being a terrorist is a little like being a SpecWarrior, except for the fact that your work has the opposite of plausible deniability - everyone wants to claim credit for what you do, especially if they didn't hire you - in that what makes a good one is exactly the same: flexibility. Initiative. The ability not only to recognize the significance of what's right in front of you, but to figure out how to use it to your advantage. Granted, access to information is kind of key to that last one, but it isn't really a problem when your backers are nearly as well-heeled as the ones who field name-brand SpecWarriors (as opposed to the off-model, international versions like Gauron), and he figures he's got a pretty clear picture of who - and what, more or less - Loki is. All it takes is a well-placed bribe to get them at the same table.]

You'd think a place this expensive could afford to throw a few extra tables out onto the patio.

But she came dressed appropriately. A very standard halter, rather like Marilyn's from the vent. She didn't fill it out as well, though. Of course, there was hardware in her handbag tucked next to her cell phone. She wasn't foolish.]

[Tonight, amongst the delicious smells and the classy atmosphere, can be found a very distracted and out of place woman. For one, she didn't remember how she arrived there, and on top of that, she felt naked and awkward out of her usual turtleneck et al. The biggest difficulty came with the heels, and she appeared obviously relieved to cease battling the nuances of gravity and sit down in a graceless thump, followed by a sigh.

It is then that she notices that she has a dining partner, and by that point the maître d’ had already slipped away. For some reason, she's compelled to stay, even if she does fidget uncomfortably in her dress.]

Well, might as well introduce ourselves. I'm Velma... [She trails off, leaving him the option of offering his name in return.]

[Despite the fact that Scout's dressed up in a suit and tie, he's pretty content with being in such a fancy restaurant. Sure, he's not one for high class things, nor is he the type to even know how to properly act in a high class establishment -- the young man would rather be playing baseball or doing something, anything athletic -- he's able to conjure a positive aura around him, if only due to all of the wonderful smelling food he can see all around the restaurant.

Once he's seated, he hurriedly flips through the menu and orders a glass of wine. He really would like a beer, but unfortunately such a beverage just isn't offered at this restaurant; figuring he can still get a buzz off of wine, though he's never tried it before, he decides to order some.

It doesn't take long for the wine to arrive, however, to Scout's surprise, the maître d’ seats another guest at the booth across from him right after setting the glass on the table. Before he can open his mouth to protest, Scout realizes that the young woman seated across from him is actually pretty darn attractive and he smiles, instead.]

It's not one he's unfamiliar with but the reason behind this meeting seems to escape him. Still Haitani doesn't seem bothered and instead that familiar small smile plays on his lips as his dark gaze surveys the room. Adapting is something that comes natural and although he might not be the one pulling the strings, he's certainly looking forward on turning the tables.

As always he looks presentable. His dark striped suit fits him like a glove; it's tailored nicely and not an inch of imperfection is noted. Haitani takes pride in everything he does and certainly his appearance falls under that category as well. Besides there's nothing wrong with looking good.

Once seated, he picks up the menu and starts looking through it, taking his time to carefully read all that is offered. He's definitely a patient sort of fellow, taking his sweet time. He knows very well that the night is still young and the real reason why he's here still has to be revealed.]

Let's hope, it is something entertaining~

Clare sat quietly, wondering who she ended up with as this was not how she expected the evening to go. She wanted a quiet dinner alone, somewhere nice. She was dressed to impress, but she was treating herself... she had no intention of socializing. Her sleek green dress was just to make herself feel pretty. Like she was important, to get some eyes on her. She'd had enough social activity to last her a few months right now.

She quietly ordered her drink and stole a few glances at her companion over her menu. Nothing she disapproved of, but... not really someone she'd seek out. Especially not in her current mood and with her current desires. "So... this place is more popular than I would have guessed."

Looking over at her 'companion', she stands by the booth, fingers resting on the white cloth.]

It appears as though I'm to dine with you. May I? [Annoyed she may be, but that didn't mean her manners had fled.]

[Sebastian didn't have a worthy meal for the last century. Though he's starting experiencing mild hunger pangs, at the very least, in the modern times, humans and their sins and their debauchery haven't lowered a bit since the 19th century. The 21th century is just as plentiful in corrupted souls as it is, only humans have evolved and grow more advance in their intelligence and technology.

He's pretty confident that they're still easy prey. He hopes he haven't grown rusty. 100 and some odd years isn't so long ago.

In a disguise of a waiter, wearing a black suit, shiny shoes, he just have to pick one prey. He spied one that he thinks will be suitable. He looks like a student, very young, tender, frail and delicious looking. Students are always in debt with student loans and working hard for a perfect grade. An easy sucker if Sebastian can him to grant a wish. If Sebastian can work his way to the boy's weakness, he'll get an easy meal for tonight.

Hunting is pretty boring and mundane, but like people, you must work hard for the money to get your bread.

With a slight, putting an air of his usual charm, both dark (dark like dark chocolate), and seductive, he approached the customer's table. Speaking his smooth, velvety voice, a Brit voice that you often hear in a masterpiece theater.]

A date. It had to be a joke, a set-up. Only it wasn't the sort of set-up she had been expecting. She was only at ease in this role when it wasn't herself and yet Natasha had been given strict orders to take the week off. As if it were so easy, like flipping a light on. But as there had been no choice in the matter, the Widow had begrudgingly agreed to this...thing. It would serve as perfect practice.

She debated wearing a wig but they could be so itchy at times and she needed as little distractions as possible. Nat instead settled with an alias, using Yelena Rushman. Her silent, mirror style pep talk was to the point. She gathered her hair into a stylish, but loose bun and chose something flattering but surprisingly modest. A splash of J-Lo, a string of pearls, and Natasha was ready.

Before the Russian was even seated she already had a headcount, all exists mapped, and noted at least four ready to use weapons from various objects in the room.

Barton, for his part, had no such concerns. A memo from Fury (or at least, that's what the letterhead had led him to believe) that he was on mandatory leave for the next week (and considering the first official Avengers mission he really wasn't all that surprised), and a "suggestion" that he swing by the restaurant at some point. It wasn't his usual style, he was more of a greasy spoon-type, but fine, if Fury thought it was worth a view he'd go. Who knew what the big man was up to.

He tugged at the collar of his tux as he entered the room, glancing around to take stock of his surroundings. Exits, waiters, potential problems, and he might have thought about weapons too if he didn't have a few knives stowed away. Just in case.

And then he saw Natasha. An eyebrow quirked in surprise, but his expression quickly eased into one of amusement. Well then. He'd say it was coincidence, but he knew better. He made his way over, picking his way between the tables and around the staff until he slid into the chair opposite, usual smirk in place.

"Well I hope I'm not interrupting anything."
