Crossover pairings are fun. Arguably, they can be one of the best parts of panfandom RP. After all, there's nothing quite like that spark when two characters just "click," especially when it was completely unplanned. AWESOME.

Unfortunately, in a lot of shipping memes here and elsewhere, the environment isn't really conducive to spontaneity. People usually just stick to castmates or close friends, and don't tag out due to lack of knowledge of canons or just plain intimidation. That's not fun for those of us who want to throw caution out the windows and just try crazy things, like throwing a Thor at a Sailor Moon (which, really, isn't that crazy of an idea if you look at the mythos for both series...).

This meme's for you, risk takers, crack shippers, or people who just want something new. All there is to do is fill out a tiny blurb so that people who don't know your canon will have some idea about your character. Then, go. Play. Don't let anything stop you. Don't know where to go with an idea? Wing it! The prompts here are not the super specific variety that most ship memes have, where you almost have to have canon knowledge. Want to reply to a character but have no idea where to begin? Make things up! The more creative, the better.

What kind of character they'd be attracted to: Smart is the number one. Tough is quick follow up. Snappy banter is a must. Love of heavy metal helpful. If he's in his criminal years, villains can be partners in crime; in his hero years, they can be the forbidden, bad girl with good guy romance. Good girls during villain years can woo him to the bright side, or be his Lois Lane while he's heroic. Plenty of options.

For someone ultimately trying to do good okay, and kill the asshole who killed her mother, she takes the most unconventional means she possibly can to do so. And if that means doing villanious things now and then, well, she'll send Tager to do her dirty work. And fetch her candy.

On this particular occasion though, Tager is indisposed chiefly because Kokonoe is making yet another unnecessary upgrade to the poor cyborg of a man. In doing so, she's come up with a fantastic upgrade idea that just requires a few ingredients easily found at any major scientific lab. ... Okay, not at her lab but at someone's lab.

Tough on the outside, soft on the inside. Kaine is a person left hard by being blamed and punished for far too many things that she couldn't help. Ostracized for being intersexed and then later for bearing a Shade within her body, she's more used to rejection than acceptance, to the point where acceptance makes her both happy and amazingly uneasy. She also thinks she deserves all the hate - though she'll never admit to that - and does a pretty good job on being an asshole to herself as well. What she really, honestly wants is friends, family, a home and love. And she will never, ever let herself have any of those things.

Also she has a goddamn filthy fucking mouth.

What kind of character they'd be attracted to:
Post-game, the drama CDs describe Kaine as lusting after well-built, muscular tanned men. The unspoken reason is because of the foggy, vague memories she has of Nier himself. Kaine desperately wants to be viewed as a woman so she tends to go for very manly sorts of men.

Please note here too that Kaine is intersexed, as I mentioned. Any character who'd want to be with her for the long run has to be comfortable with their partner having both a penis and a vagina. Technically she is biologically female - the penis is a lovely accident of the Replication system. While it does work, it's not like she could father any of your kids with it, y'dig?

Exploring realms not of sight and sound, but of the mind, is fun. Or so Souji decided long ago when he sprang for his own big screen TV. The thing is, wandering too far can take you to strange, faraway places - beautiful ones, in this case, but still strange and faraway.

In addition to a perpetually gorgeous sunset, it seems he's stumbled across a strange woman. Souji grips the hilt of the sword he brought just in case, but does not draw it, silently looking across the twilit plains at the woman, trying to make eye contact and make sure she doesn't grow tentacles or start spouting phsilophy or something.

Hey, you can never be too sure.

He lives freely by his own personal rules and can be quite reckless. His world is full of strange shit, like giant pandas, robotic dinosaurs attacking Japan, alien invasions, and fairies.

- Romance-wise, he seems to go for the huge "boyscot" types since they tend to tolerate him best

She's a very cheerful person, so it's hard to guess that she's incredibly lonely and miserable.
What kind of character they'd be attracted to: People who can put up with her obnoxious personality and will praise her are Miyako's favorites. She will happily do all of your chores, cook all of your meals, and tutor you in homework forever and ever if you'll acknowledge her. She likes to goof off and flirt, so being able to put up with that is a plus.

Asuka Langley Soryu | Neon Genesis Evangelion | Men for romance

About: Loud, obnoxious, hypercompetent, attention-demanding teenage girl who pilots a giant cybernetic robot (tsundere is an oversimplification but not really inaccurate). Once you get past her colorful exterior she has just as much deep-rooted self-loathing and trust issues as any other character in her show (which is a lot). Also barring AUing she dies and comes back to life at around 14.

Whatever, he was already annoyed at her for existing and walking in front of him, so he doesn't even apologize.

About: Botan is one of those ambiguous "older than she looks"/vaguely non-human characters. In her canon, she serves as one of the many grim reapers. However, just because her job is dark doesn't mean she is. Her personality is extremely chipper and upbeat (though it can veer from bubbly girl to deadpan snarker to outright troll). One major flaw of hers, though, is her tendency to be a motormouth and talk before she thinks. That's gotten her into more than one bit of trouble. But she makes up for it with loyalty to her friends and her employer, the prince of the Spirit World.

Also pilots a giant robot (generic or Chinese-dragon-themed depending on canon point). She's sometimes easily manipulated and prone to angst about her telepathic powers getting her or people she cares about involved in wars and fighting, but deep down, she has a soul of solid steel and a desire to protect the innocent that makes her get over that about once a game. Infamous for creating "health drinks" out of bizarre combinations of ingredients that taste so bad you'll pass out but work so well you'll wake up with 150 morale. Later branches out into trying to do this to baked goods.

People who make her feel comfortable. Or at least are equally uncomfortable in cute ways.

Personally, she is tends to act rather regal but tends to break into a cute, childish, persona when dealing with her closest friends and advisers. She also has a rather bloody past and tends to be prone to fits of depression rather easily.

Strong people.
Those who don't mind her being a vampire and her child-like body.
Those who make her feel safe.
People who "understand" the pressures she faces as the queen of an entire race of people.

About: Good-natured teenage girl who aspires to be a prince. From earlier on in the canon she's a bit bullheaded and sometimes frustratingly naive and obtuse, but later (and post-series) she gains some insight and understanding of others/the way the world works in general. Has moments of surprising thoughtfulness from any canonpoint. Is a decent human being overall and genuinely cares about others, but her method of conflict-resolution is usually just to rush right in. Also, she's very dashing.

Her canon is bizarre, but she comes from a strange school where she is made to participate in a series of fencing duels in order to protect a girl named Anthy Himemiya.
What kind of character they'd be attracted to: - Mysterious waifs
- Elegant, mysterious people in general
- Noble, chivalrous good guys like herself
- Really cute people who need to be protected, idk. "Damsels," if you will.

With feasible development she could be attracted to most character types though. And any type of friendship/bromance is fine and welcome!

What kind of character they'd be attracted to: Confidence is key. She likes confident guys and guys who aren't afraid of being themselves and while she's not suckered in by romancing, she does consider it an endearing trait. She'd also prefer if her romantic interest didn't treat her like a delicate little flower, because she's definitely not. Also, a high tolerance for physical contact is a must. Even if it's just holding hands and such. She likes both the strong silent type and the chatty type though, so either or of those works for her. Basically she just needs someone who'd be as into her as she would be to them. Has a sweet spot for the strong silent type that actually has a soft, squishy core.

About: A noble young samurai with a very firm 'good' moral alignment. He's very much the sort who places the good of others very firmly before himself, and will sacrifice that which is meaningful to him if it benefits others. That goes even if the people he is trying to help will think bad of him afterwards. In canon he betrayed his Lord because of the man's tyranny and approach to war; this labelled him permanently as a traitor and lost him his closest canon bond.

In general he is a quiet scholarly sort, with a lot of courage and a kind nature but with a tendancy towards depression. He has trouble dealing with grey areas as well, and can at times have something of a 'black and white' view of the world. Make no mistake, however; he is a warrior, and a very capable one at that. There's an edge of steel to him that he can call upon when necessary.

HE'S ALSO A TOTAL PRUDE. And easily embarassed. xD

What kind of character they'd be attracted to: He appreciates intelligence and courage in both men and women, as well as artistic talent. That doesn't mean he wouldn't find someone lacking these qualities unattractive, just that those traits are definitely going to get his initial interest. Really, with the right base and development, most types would work with him. ♥

About: Rapunzel may have been sheltered all her life, but she's not the delicate flower her mother makes her out to be. She's pretty spunky and very happy and not afraid to get snarky with someone who deserves it, albeit in a pretty playful way. She's SUPER creative, notably with visual arts, (painting, pottery, etc.), but she also loves music and a lot else. She can be cautious if she's taken from the first bit of canon, but once she gets out of her tower she's quite ready to see the world. She's also really, really spontaneous so uh be on your toes.

What kind of character they'd be attracted to: I like to play with her canon attraction to jerks with good in them. Bonus points for bad life choices! But nobody truly awful, naturally. But the more difficult they are about emotions, the better.

I'm open to any fandom/medium; I just know some people get nervous tagging Disney people with non-Disney people. Or so I've been told, at least.

About: Clive is an outgoing, friendly British gentleman, although very blunt about his opinions and refuses to take shit from anyone. He lost his parents at a young age thanks to the careless mistakes of a corrupt prime minister and a group of scientists, so Clive has a massive hateboner for most politicians and scientists as a result.
What kind of character they'd be attracted to: Well, they have to be physically attractive, for one. Intelligence is another very important thing to have, and he really enjoys people who are open-minded and generally fun to be around. He's not going to enjoy dating someone who has no personality and never wants to go out on dates or anything. And, being a Professor Layton character, Clive also has a love for puzzles, so a fellow puzzle lover would be a huge bonus.
