It started out quietly, and then, quite suddenly, you're caught in a storm with an endless downpour. Time to quickly find cover! Nothing much to do but to wait it out. Where is the rain happening? SCENARIOS i WHERE: 001 PLAYGROUND | Well, you can try to hide under the slide or maybe in the jungle gym... at least you're some place fun? 002 PARK | Always happens, caught outside trying to take advantage of the weather... and it ends up pulling a fast one on you. 003 STORE FRONT | Better hope they have an awning you can take advantage of. 004 BEACH | Not exactly the best place to be during a rainstorm, however it is possible to get caught in a sudden storm. 005 FOREST | Mud, bugs and all the rambler's paths are washed away so you don't know how to get out. 006 SKY | On a plane? A pegasus? You were there when the first drop fell. 007 EMPTY CITY | Maybe it was a zombie apocalypse or WW3. It's safer outside when all the nasties take refuge indoors. 008 AT SEA | Nothing is worse than an unexpected freak storm here. Except sea monsters. 009 TEMPLE | It's beautiful, but leaky. 010 WILD CARD | Your call. ii HOW: 001 TREE | Not the best cover, but it'll have to do, stay close to the roots and you won't get too wet. 002 UMBRELLA | Most conventional... Sighing, Heather turns up her collar, and leans back against the trunk of the tree she'd taken refuge under.

And then it happens. The twist of the gut, that gentle poke in her mind that warns her there's another like her around. She squints through the downpour, looking around. She peeks around the tree, looking for the other Immortal. ]

( this hasn't really gone as planned.

...this really hasn't gone as planned, ilde reflects, because absolutely no where in said plans will you find 'get lost in the woods, in a rainstorm, and end up in a fucking cave'. it isn't exactly the sort of place you'd expect to find her as a general rule, a city creature if there was ever one, accustomed to luxury.

accustomed, but not reliant upon. it's preferable, but she's pragmatic; there's water all around her, here, she can feel it deeper into the cave, and if anyone she was trying to lose in the woods finds her here, they're going to find her on the nearest thing to her own turf, at the height of her power.

to anyone else, though, she just looks like a drowned rat in an overpriced outfit, sulking while she watches the rain come down. )

It was still Central City, and crime didn't stop just because the weather had taken a turn for the worse. If anything, lightning just made Kid Flash need to move more. The only problem was his lean on where and when the Reverse-Flash had gone had dried up, and things were only getting worse. He'd switched back to civvies because it was warmer, but the rain was still coming down in torrents, and he didn't have much left as he peered in at the warmth of a coffee shop, wishing the sign hadn't already been turned over for the evening.

The Doctor watched Malcolm from a distance, the rain soaking him to the bone. It had been three months since he'd last spoken to the man and every day it was harder and harder to stay away. To ignore the pain in his heart. He hated himself for how they had last parted ways. He'd let the other man push him away causing them both pain that could have been avoided. Still, he couldn't bring himself to go to him. So for now, here he stood silently observing hoping the other would be alright.

[the ship was percy's idea. obviously.

it'd seemed like a good idea at the time, which just goes to show you what happens when you decide to trust seaweed brain's judgment. you end up on a ship that's being tossed around in the waves like a special edition cyclops-sized top (tyson has one, but he's not allowed to use it at camp after the time he accidentally drilled a hole straight through the floor of the big house. mr. d had not been happy). to top (ha ha) it all off, it's raining — seriously raining, complete with thunder loud enough to rattle the entire ship and flashes of lightning crackling overhead. it's really disorienting, because just as your eyes adjust to the dark, crack! it's bright as daytime just long enough to make your brain really confused.

okay, okay, so it's not really percy's fault. no one could've anticipated a sudden storm this big, unless they were rachel elizabeth dare. the water is percy's element, and poseidon has always helped keep things easy when they're out here. that means attacks by sea monsters every other hour instead of every hour, but that's pretty good in annabeth's book.

she's only up here on the deck to check for any stragglers. about everyone, including percy, is already below. and percy had had to be forced; if he'd had his way he'd be up here trying to control the storm like a total idiot. annabeth figured she had about five minutes before he came back up to get her, or to try it again, or more likely both.]

[New York isn't exactly how Usagi ever pictured it being. It's been raining for hours, big heavy drops pouring relentlessly down onto the streets. She's lost Shingo along the way, the two of them agreeing to meet up in Time's Square in a few hours. The trouble is, Usagi's never paid much attention in English class and all the signs are a confusing mess of words she only recognizes vaguely. But, she's got her umbrella (pink and white) and her cellphone in her pocket. Her dad is only a phone call away (even if he is working) and she's ready to explore.

She doesn't mind the rain, but she remembers watching Home Alone and thinks she would prefer the snow. If Mamoru were here, it would be more romantic that way. But he's not and she's alone and as she walks the streets, taking in the sights and taking pictures, she catches sight of a small building, just out of sight. At first she's almost certain it hadn't been there before; everything about it is a little hazy from a distance but as she steps closer, the more solid it gets.

Outside it says Moon Tarot Readings on a black board, propped up against a white pillar. But on the building there's symbols she barely recognizes, but she knows it says Selene. She looks around; no one else seems to notice it or even Usagi herself. She worries her bottom lip and turns again, looking up with her heart pounding.

Some things aren't a coincidence, she knows that now. But she stands, frozen for what feels like forever, just staring at her mother's name and wonders if she should dare step inside. ]
