Word Association is a common word game involving an exchange of words that are associated together. It's not as cold as the Clayr's hold, but then, they live in a glacier. The sea tends to temper the weather in the winter months.

I tend not to go outside much if I can help it, besides chores and visiting villages. There's plenty to keep me occupied, even if that means sitting over petty court and not falling asleep.

I don't see why it has to be. Father and Ellimere are happy enough with the negotiations.

The best way to keep awake is running outside into the cold. It just takes having someone there to keep nodding while you do.

Good. I'd hate to think we'd need to be-- the Middling Alliance. Even the Eastern Alliance doesn't have quite the same ring.

I would if I could. I like going up to the battlements and talking with the guard there, but there are public appearances that can't be avoided.

No, I suppose not. Middling just sounds like everyone is dissatisfied with the outcome and had to settle.

Someone would pick the name just for that reason. Whether it's through spite, or some strange sense of humour - now that is a bit of a question.
