INJURIES.
1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?
2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.
3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.
4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.
5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.
6. Other. I'm not a doctor.

HOW'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.
2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?
3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.
4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.

WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

You should write her more often, then. Tell her about the good you're doing. I'm sure she wants to know. [ Like she's one to talk, she doesn't write to her family much, either, except in an official capacity - but that's different. Her parents love her, in their way, though they've never known how to talk to her, not since her magic manifested. And now, well. She makes use of their connections when she needs to, reluctantly, but she knows they use her just as much.

She rather envies Cullen his family. ]

[ She nods. ] Yes. Very, very happy. Coming back here, to you, it's like coming home.

I'm... I'm happy to hear that. [How many times can he say happy?] Whatever I can do to make you happier, all you need do is say the word.

[ She laughs a little. ] I honestly can't think of anything right now. This is perfect.

I would agree if not for these blasted bandages. [They'd gotten sweaty, and now itchy, thanks to all of that. And the wound still wept. And he's sticky from his own ejaculation. So much for the afterglow.]

Is it alright? [ Fingers reach out to touch the edge of it, gently, making sure it's still in place. She wouldn't want their lovemaking to hurt him more. ]

It's fine. [He answered that a little too quickly.] Painful, but that's to be expected no matter what I've been up to.

... and the wrap itches something fierce. [That almost sounds like a pout though it's unintentional.]

I'll make a list. Herbs for the pain, a salve for the itch.

[ What kind of Inquisitor would she be if she left her Commander with itchy bandages? ]

[ She grins a little, giving him a squeeze. ] Okay, I won't.

We should, however, clean up. [He's in no shape for a bath, but Maker, he could use a wet cloth right now.] You especially, lest the world crack in half and you're without your clothes.

Sera is always telling me I should be more like regular people. [ Does being like a regular person involve being without her clothes at the end of the world? Who knows. But the mental image - ]

But I see your point. [ She definitely does need to clean up - he's not the only one who's pretty sticky. One more kiss and she pulls away, sliding out of the bed to go do that.

She's not putting any clothes back on yet, though. ]

[Down is easier than up. He grunts as he pushes himself onto his elbows and then decides to stay there for the time being.]

Please don't follow the advice of someone who thought greasing my ladder to be a clever prank.

[ She laughs lightly - no point telling him she's been in on a couple of the pranks. They're all in good fun, anyway. ]

Iron Bull gives me the same advice, you know. He once got me dressed up in disguise to have a few drinks with the soldiers. Said I should know at least a few.

[ She tries, anyway. When she can. She says all this amiably enough, though, at the wash stand near the window, cleaning herself quickly. ]

Normal is well and good, I actually very much enjoy normal, but I think I've lost track of this conversation. [Sera and Iron Bull were not his most favorite people in Skyhold. They're far from his mind as he watches her clean herself. He's sure some people doubted the Herald of Andraste could be unclean. That she, too, needed to bathe and eat and sleep.

He loves watching her do mundane things.]

[ She laughs again. She's mostly just telling him things for the sake of sharing. Her companions are so very disparate in beliefs and perspectives - she's glad of it, in general, even though in practice it can be frustrating, if not occasionally infuriating.

She's the one who recruited them, after all.

But that's neither here nor there - not once she turns back toward the bed to catch him watching her with that look on his face like she's the most amazing person in the world. ]

Am I so terribly distracting?

[ She touches the wash basin, a small bit of power put into it, to warm the water again, before dipping a fresh cloth in. ]

You have no idea.

[Cullen is not a barbarian that will wash his genitals off while on his back in front of a lady, so he forces himself to his feet and walks over to her to take the cloth. It's warm.]

[Even then, he turns away.]

[ She just smiles, almost sheepish, and turns to wrap herself up in a housecoat. It gets chilly with the breeze from the mountains, and she perpetually keeps the big windows open onto her balcony.

She never knows quite what to do with those looks of adoration, much as she loves them. Never knows quite how to react. Except to bask in them and keep the memories close for when she's away from Skyhold, cold and damp and uncomfortable and lonely. ]

Feeling better already, I hope.
