Here we go! Hilda's Special Super Duper "Get Well Soon" Soup! It's an old family recipe that I've never been able to get right and it always made me feel a hell of a lot better whenever Mom made it.

When Sei first started sneezing, Aoba and Tae-san became quite concerned. Sei is still very weak despite his health having successfully stabilized, and they were probably wondering if a mild illness could seriously threaten someone like him. And to be honest, Sei didn't know the answer to that question, either. He hasn't been this healthy in years - who knows where the cracks and weak links might be?

But as it turned out, this cold isn't anything unusual for Sei. When he suddenly caught some type of affliction in Oval Tower, it summoned a swarm of over-protective doctors who quickly stabbed him with half a dozen IV drips and revoked his small amount of privacy until he got better. This... isn't like that. But is it because the cold isn't as bad, or because there's no accompanying overreaction to stress him out?

Either way, the past several days have actually been very pleasant. Sei has been spending most of his time curled up in Aoba's bed. The radio is turned down low. Ren watches over him while his brother and adoptive grandmother are out working, and then the two fret over his needs once they're home. Sei isn't a selfish or demanding person, but he can't help but smile softly as they shower him with attention.

It's nice having people who care about you.

Ren is in sleep mode - and Sei almost is, too - when a quiet thump from downstairs signals someone's return home. Sei opens his eyes and lifts his head to glance at the door curiously. The movement rouses the beginning of a mild sinus headache, but he ignores it for now.

"Um... hello?"
