[ she doesn't know how this happened. well, that's technically not true: she remembers exactly how they got to this point, she's just not sure how all those steps happened successively. bucky isn't drunk, but he's had more than one drink and the taste of whiskey is heavy on his lips. steph is, of course, completely sober because her metabolism works too fast now for her to get drunk.
the only explanation she has for the fact that they're playing a game that they used to play as little children during hot summers, sitting on the roof of the building bucky'd lived in then, is that she was all but dared to do it. sober or no, she's never been able to walk away from that kind of thing. she was dared, and bucky is at least tipsy, and so are the rest of them, cheering them on right now while bucky's lips work against hers.

[ Weiss wasn't actually sure how this situation had come to be. For one thing, she was involved in it. Which wouldn't be confusing, except that the other person involved was Jaune Arc. It was likely the fact that she could, at times, be a little competitive when it came to being the best at things that this had all come down to what it had. The fact that she'd figured out that he wasn't a total jerk after the dance had made it somewhat easier to appreciate him. Then.. well, a series of events that lead to them being left alone in a room late at night and talking.
