3) DISRESPECT Someone’s been talking shit about someone, and you’ve got some honor to defend or a score to settle.

4) START SOME SHIT Literally the only reason you’re out tonight is to fuck shit up.

5) YOU ASSHOLE You've hustled someone at pool, or said some rude things pretty loud, or hit on someone too aggressively. Doesn't matter, you’ve been a jerk and now karma’s gonna kick your ass.

6) BLOODBATH You didn’t start the fight. You have no idea who started the fight. But now everyone’s fighting and it’s throw a punch or cower behind the bar time.

7) VENDETTA You’ve got history with this person and now they’re here in the bar with you. It doesn’t matter if they’ve actually done anything to you tonight, you’re still gonna brawl.

In retrospect, maybe Tig should have kept his mouth shut. Maybe he didn't actually need to push it that far, not after how touchy the guy seemed about the loss. It wasn't Tig's fault the guy sucked at pool (okay, maybe it was at least partly Tig's fault for setting the guy up to fail but that was all in the details), was even less his fault that the guy blew his whole paycheck on it. But the guy flapped his mouth like a fish, turned beet red the more Tig busted his balls and if the guy was going to try to play with the big dogs, Tig figured, the least he could do was grow a thicker skin.

Maybe he should have stopped before bringing up the fact that the wife had his balls and his wallet chained up, or maybe before he suggested first that he should probably call his wife to bail him out and then that his wife and his mama were the same person. But by the time the first fist flew it was a little too late for backpedaling, and Tig had never much been for regrets.

A good barfight was way more satisfying.

A solid shot to the jaw followed by a well-placed shove had him tumbling back before he could counter, landing against the table the rest of the guys were sitting at. He grabbed the edge, half to stop himself and half to get his balance back, then tilted his head to eye his president, lips stretching out into a wide grin, the kind that promised he was just getting started and would probably get them all kicked out before the end of the night.

[ It's a different bar, this time - and while the first one wasn't a nice place, this one is worse. Also, this time Robin's not on a data gathering job - instead, he has work to do. ]

[ The bar fight that explodes may or may not be his doing - but it certainly makes what he has to do (actually, planting a few trackers) a lot easier. He's masked, but not caped, and he slips among the flying fists and kicks with the agility of a born acrobat. Which he is, of course. And then there's a familiar face, and Robin cuts the feet off the man flying at him with a broken bottle with a sweeping low kick. Then he gives Ted a bright smile that probably makes him recognizable from the previous time even with the mask. ]

We really should stop meeting in places like this.

Samus had just wanted a drink. She'd just wanted a god damn drink. She deserved it, what with her line of work and all. And yet, fate conspired to deny her this.

Halfway through her bottle of whiskey, a fight broke out. Samus had tried to ignore it, but someone throwing a chair in her direction made that impossible. So, her lips curled into a sneer, she spun on her barstool, and fired her Paralyzer into the melee of malcontents.

"I don't care who started this," she said. "But I've got a lot pent up right now, and I'm finishing it, you understand?"

There was a saying on Midgard that Thor was becoming quite fond of: For old times' sake. It had been quite some time, after all, that he and Loki had actually fought on the same side without it ultimately leading to betrayal. Therefore, when one of the Master Craftsmen of Nidavellir hit him over the head with a finely wrought pewter stein, causing the poor mug to break into little pieces after Thor had boasted of his possession of Mjolnir to the wrong set of dwarves, he couldn't help but feel his heart soar!

Oh, he'd promised the All-Father that this little journey across the realms would be relaxing, that he wouldn't cause any fights and he would do his best to spread good will over all of the worlds that Asgard oversaw. Technically, he hadn't really caused this particular fight at all.

He was just enjoying the repercussions of having had a fight start because his head was too hard to be dented (and, okay, yes, because he had a boastful mouth but so what?). "Behind you, brother!" Thor called out cheerfully as Loki was forced to set ahead his drink or have another dwarf spill it over his lap.

This was such fun!

A journey across the realms, how exciting! Thank Mother for small miracles it seemed. Even after being locked away upon return to Asgard from Midgard, she had pulled some strings with Odin and Thor, allowing Loki an escorted trip to nearly anywhere he pleased - anything dealing with weapons, magic, and Midgard were strictly off-limits - once a month.

Disappointing as it was not being able to go look at weaponry or new spells, Loki went with it, knowing better than to look a gift horse in the mouth at this moment.

So off he went with Thor to Nidavelir, off into some dimly lit bar where the Dwarves drank merrily and heavily. Loki wanted to keep his mind sharp, so he passed on each drink offered - okay, he had one, but that wasn't the point.

When the fight broke out, he was anything but surprised. Instead he moved quickly to get the drinks out of the way and out of Thor's hand to spare them. Thor called out to him about someone behind him, so he ducked, barely missing a blow aimed for the back of his head.

"I thought you swore not to cause fights!" he called back, taking out the one that tried to hit him.

[ It's one o'clock in the morning, and demons are quite capable of sleeping - at least when they choose to.

It's one o'clock in the morning, and Balthazar, now unceremoniously awake, is blinking at a very disgruntled exorcist - who is, as per usual, is looking rather worse for wear.

So, as it stands, the halfbreed's marble bathroom is now streaked with the man's blood (or someone else's, seeing as Constantine is still conscious), and the demon himself is seated beside said exorcist on the rim of the bath, trying not so smirk too obnoxiously (and failing), and sewing up a particularly unattractive gash on the man's shoulder. The bottle of Jack Daniels that the exorcist had shown up loosely clutching (wavering as he stood in the apartment block's hallway, bleeding on the swanky carpet - typical), is open on the floor beside them, a good portion of it already having been consumed.

Eyeing John snarkily, Balthazar can't quite keep the humour out of his tone: ] What a half-dead, bloody bootycall you are, Johnny boy. [ He finishes a stitch, pulls a little too hard: ] I'd be flattered if you hadn't bled all over the tiles.
