The Let's Fucking Cuddle Meme



action is fun and smut is nice and mysterious magical hijinks through space and time are the bomb diggity. and sometimes you just want to aggressively cuddle your friend/sibling/parent/pet/lover/acquaintance/this new person you are meeting now.

this meme is for just that: latching on and not letting go until that what/whoever has been cuddled.

how this works;
1. post your character with as much/little information as you want (name/series/preferences/whatever).
2. go to rng for a number for where and why the cuddles are happening. or just pick one.
3. respond to others.
4. cuddle. but like. really cuddle. no one is letting go until everyone is completely thoroughly cuddled.

a. where
1. by a heat source : because outside is cold but this fire/space heater/demon is warm and cozy and just right. winter is just getting started, okay.
2. away from a heat source : wow going out into the snow during a rainstorm a million miles from the nearest blanket was a poor choice--but wait. there's snuggles.
3. a private place : maybe you're watching a movie on the couch, maybe you're catching up on the newspaper in the breakfast nook, maybe it doesn't matter because whatever you're about to be cuddled.
4. a public place : cuddle time waits for no man or no "more appropriate" setting sometimes. out in a park, in an airport, in the middle of a food court--the time for snuggles is now and other people be damned.
5. somewhere else : if somehow a place which is unrelated to heat and/or neither in or outside. even in such a place there can still be cuddles.

b. why
1. the sleepies - it's been a long day and all you want to do is close your eyes for a bit. do this by claiming someone as a cuddle you can sleep on.
2. bad weather - heavy rain, thunder, blizzard, monsoon; these are things which ruin plans. luckily, they cannot ruin cuddles.
3. because surprise - is your buddy working too much and needs a distraction? are you being ignored when you need a hug? does the love just need to be spread? whatever it is, they won't see it coming until they're being snuggled.
4. activity conducive - maybe you're watching a movie or reading a book or squished together in a train car or dancing to the point of exhaustion or waiting in line for a thing. it's just super easy to change whatever you're doing into being a pile of cuddles. so do it.
5. so emotion very love - it's totally platonic but still totally overwhelming. the love you have for this person just needs to be expressed, and only a clinging of cuddles will do. hug them. hug them now and also forever.
6. jeepers creepers - was it a spider in the washroom, a ghost in the attic, a bad dream, a figment of your imagination, an actual serial killer? probably all. probably a nightmare ghost spider serial killer breaking out of your imagination. clinging to someone might fix it.
7. there, there, little friend - sick in bed, just been dumped or having some other sort of crappy day, you need someone to wrap their arms around you and make everything go away.
8. that other thing - whatever, you do what you want. you go, cuddle friend. you do your thing.

[Chihiro walks off into the darkness and can be heard rummaging around. After a moment, a light flickers on.]

Ah! Here it is!

[Ah, he found it? Yay victory! Of course, she doesn't move still, waaaiting for Chihiro to come back.]

[The beam of light swings around as Chihiro makes his way back over, gently patting the top of the wolf's head.]

Okay, we should be fine until the power comes back. Maybe I can find some candles, too...but I'm not sure where those would be. In the kitchen, maybe.

[No way to know until they looked. So, Shiro's going to turn and head towards the direction food smells the strongest.]

[Good thing they have a light, because now Chihiro can direct it down the hall and help to lead the way a bit more, his hand on Shiro's side again.]

[Yes, she smells good things this way. If Ammy knew what a horror game was, this would probably be it, but no, her attention is forward and she just carries on next to Chihiro, heading down where directed.]

[Bless this wolf because the last thing Chihiro wants to think about right now is horror games. Thankfully, though, they make it to the kitchen unscathed.]

Okay...there might be some candles in the cabinets above the counter, there. Let's see if we can find you something to eat, too.

[Horror games exist with companion animals though. Ignoring that, there goes her tail at the mention of food. That sounds great! She picks up the pace a little.]

[Chihiro detaches from Ammy's side long enough to reach the cabinets, standing up on tiptoe to fish around for the aforementioned candles. He finds some directly, along with a few matches to light them with. Setting the flashlight upright on the counter, he goes to work getting them lit.]

We'll put these around so we can save the flashlight battery unless we really need it, okay?

[Watching Chihiro get the candles and begin trying to light them, she nods and continues staring, waiting to see if he could light them. If not... well, she could do it.]

[He manages to get a few, but there are only a few matches left.]

Hmm...wait here. I'm going to find something for you to eat. I'll see if I can find more matches while I'm gone.

[She has to wait here again? She huffs, but sits down. Okay... if it means even a little snack.]

[Yes...but perhaps you can get those lights while Chihiro isn't looking.

Speaking of, he's gone, off to rummage around in the cabinets to see what a wolf might like to eat.]

[Yup, she's gonna do that because oooooh, he cannot see her working in mysterious ways. Though, he probably will wonder how the candles lit themselves.]

[That is a thing that will cause a bit of concern...but there's always a possibility he just lit them and forgot, maybe?

Either way, when he comes back he has a small bag in one hand.]

There isn't a whole lot since Papa hasn't been able to go to the store yet this week...but we have some beef jerky.

[Exactly what happened; nothing to worry about.]

[Shiro perks up as Chihiro returns, tail wagging at the smell of the bag. Well, if it's offered, she'll have some. She can't wait.]

[Chihiro smiles a little at that, pulling out a strip and offering it to her.]

[Tail wagging, she waits, trying not to whine as Chihiro opens the bag. There's one strip...!]

[She grins and takes it into her fangs, chewing and looking absolutely delighted.]

[He takes another out and walks ahead toward the den, gesturing with it.]

Come on, let's go back to the den. This should be enough candles to be able to see by until the power comes back.

[Your wish is her command, beef jerky... as she keeps following Chihiro with the food.]

[As soon as they get to the living room Chihiro slows down, holding the jerky close so Ammy can eat it.]

I'm glad it's just rain, and not snow...it would be really cold otherwise. Though it won't stay warm in here for long...

[Well hello~ Don't mind if she gobbles it up and then licks his fingers. Hey, hey, if it was super cold, she's got you covered... literally.]

He moves to sit down on the couch after that, reaching out to adjust some of the flickering candles on the coffee table in front of him.]

Nothing to do now but wait...

[With him on the couch, she sits there... for a moment. Once he moves around the candles, she jumps onto the couch and leans against him, most of her fluff consuming Chihiro.]

[Well he really can't complain, even if she does get some of her fur on his clothes. He just smiles and lets his arm drape over her back, a hand gently petting the fur at the back of her neck.]
