Better than Me
a smut meme ![]() |
| There's some darkness in your life. It doesn't have to be the epic, soul-crushing darkness that destroys your very existence; you can be a mild cynic or someone who's a little more somber than the rest of the crowd. Of course, you could have the terrible times in your life, making it hard to go on or making you so jaded you're even less than an automaton. What purpose is there in going on in life aside from going through the motion? That is until this person, this one special person came into your life, and it was like opening a window. They're all light and excitement and beauty and goodness, everything that you're not. They've given you a new lease on life, in some way, and now, there's passion, and perhaps new experiences for you. Even if you don't or can't recognize this, it's true. The one problem is that you don't feel anywhere near worthy of them, though you may not be familiar with this feeling. Actually, you don't want to taint them at all, despite you being, well, you. Yet still, here you are, with them in the most carnal way possible. Will your guilt eat you up? Can you tell them they deserve someone better? Or, if you desperately want to hold on to their light, maybe you can make yourself better and prove how much you want them by giving them everything. I could start things off with her trying to surprise him (Coffee? Blowjob? Both?) while he's working? Or I could think of something else...?

Sweet! So let me know if I need to change anything. Just starting with prose. No need to match <3
For one, her shoes were still in the entryway. And she'd only bothered to put her shirt and undies back on. (And borrow his shower, if her damp hair was anything to go by.)
For another, there was coffee brewing. And a sweet-flavored breakfast that she contentedly brought to him. Just by looking at the contents of his fridge, she'd figured out that much.
"How do you take your coffee? Milk? Cream? Sugar? ...Or, don't tell me, you take it... black?"
Perhaps she was way too chipper for someone who had only recently woken up.
this looks great c: oh god she's adorable
Eiri was not a morning person by any means. When he stumbled out of bed at close to 11:30 he was still half asleep and he had to put on his reading glasses to counteract the early morning blurriness in his eyes. Finding the slacks he'd tossed off to the side the night before, he pulled them on and decided that was good enough for now. Maybe he could get some reading done, he mused. Get something actually productive out of the way before Shuichi got home from work and--
Oh. Right.
So Shuichi wasn't coming home. He'd seen to that when he kicked him out, and the thought was nothing short of depressing, honestly. He should have been relieved to get rid of him, but he wasn't. So that was that. A few more weeks of meaningless one night stands and then he would go home and agree to marry Ayaka and that would be the end of everything. Whatever. He was honestly too tired to care.
He was also too tired to deal with someone so chipper.
"What...?" he asked, only half lucid when she confronted him. What the hell? Why was she still here? Didn't she understand how this whole thing worked? Oh god.
"More milk and sugar than coffee," he confessed, and then he yawned widely and just looked at her for a moment. Okay, so she was half naked and had used his shower. No reason to panic though. "What uh..." No, he couldn't just say 'what are you still doing in my house?'. That would be too rude even by Eiri Yuki standards. So he just stood there, a crease in his brow.
:D I'm happy that you think so! And I don't mind the earlier canon point. <3
While she didn't overly care for sweets, they could be nice sometimes, and so she happily prepared his coffee, offering it to him immediately thereafter - and holding the bottom and side of the mug just so that he could grasp the mug's handle for himself. She didn't even flinch from the heat she felt.
"Here. I hope it's sweet enough. It finished brewing not long ago, so it's really hot."
While she was feeling a little nervous, and wanted to honestly talk his ears off, she could tell just by looking at him (never mind the fact that he woke up so soon to noon) that he probably wouldn't process things very well for a little while.
"And, I made pancakes, if you're hungry. No rush, though."
The least she could do for her gracious host was at least make him breakfast!

He grown to love Terra as more than just a friend, yet she felt more distant lately. He finally decided to do something about it at last. Now in their bedroom, he sat next to her.]
Terra, is everything okay?

She feels the pressure building inside of her. The creature that rages war with her soul to be freed. Terra can't trust herself to hold on but somehow he does. She wants to cry and tell him of her pain but she doesn't want to him to know about the pain she has caused others.]
I'm alright.
[It sounds like a lie as she says the words allow.]
no subject
Either way, he wasn't buying it. Everything about her still seemed off. His hands move to grab hers, a gentle smile appearing on his face.]
It's okay, Terra. You can tell me anything.
no subject
I don't want you to worry.
[Now she isn't lying but Terra is only telling half of the truth. She leans forward and rests her head on his chest. Should she even be touching him like this? So close that he can feel the blood from her past on her hands.]
no subject
[He wraps his arms around Terra, keeping her close to him. Her behavior kept making him concerned. Nothing was going to slip past him this time.]
Terra, you can tell me anything.

She stood by and watched.
Knowing that, and that Terra must know that, has always made Celes reticent. How, she wants to scream, can a person forgive that? She hasn't forgiven herself for it. Their relationship was truly unlikely, and as it's grown and began to blossom, those are doubts that Celes can't let sit any longer. But, she thinks, if she voices them... this will all end. This warmth, this closeness.
She stands outside the door to Terra's room on the Falcon, her hand lifted to knock. She lowers her fist, then raises it again, and finally knocks.]
Terra...?

[Her voice echoes from behind the close door. Terra has been trying to sleep but it isn't so easy.
She sits up letting her blanket fall to her waist as she calls at the door.]
Come in.
[Terra's green hair is loosly hanging in soft waves down her back. She is dressed in a light pink tank top and a matching pair of underwear. She isn't shy about her sleepwear and when she sees Celes a happy smile slips across her lips.
She does blame Celes for her past situation. She is happy to have been able to meet her and share the connection that they have.
Terra has been alone until now and it is wonderful that she is able to share her heart. She is happy to have known what love is.]
