rules: * post with your character's name and series in the comment title along with any preferences or notes. * taggers, go to RNG and roll between 1 and 3, or choose one of the prompt selections down below. * head back to RNG or go there if you haven't already and roll between 1 and 5, or choose a prompt of your own. * play out the sequences relevant to that of a married lifestyle. 1. proposal { 1. park - you've been planning this proposal for awhile and have taken your sweetheart to a nice secluded area in the park. are they going to say yes or leave you in the dust? 2. house - dimmed lights, candles, home made dinner. it's obvious you've fixed yourself up for something tonight. let's see if your lover catches on before the question is popped. 3. public event - perhaps you're one who wants to gain a lot of attention; maybe your significant other doesn't as much. either way, this goes from writing their message in the sky with an airplane to something like a flash mob ensemble with others involved. 4. restaurant - nothing romantic like taking them out somewhere ritzy and hiding the rings in that glass of expensive wine. 5. car - you've driven them somewhere nostalgic or meaningful either to you or each other, or perhaps just a good view overlooking the city cause maybe you had no other idea how to do it or couldn't afford anything else. 2. marriage { 1. traditional - both parties have agreed and said yes, and everything goes well just like in the fairy tales you've always dreamed of. 2. arranged - you had no say so in this but somebody else like your parents did. you've never seen this person before until you walk down the aisle. what are your thoughts? are you nervous? what if you two don't get along? looks like you have to deal with it either way. enjoy? 3. elope - nothing fancy. you know, they do make drive thru chapels or perhaps you're just going to experience the excitement of meeting up at the court. all and all, it doesn't matter, just so you have your sweetheart to yourself. 4. shotgun - congrats, somebody is pregnant. there's only one more thing left to do now.. 5. disaster - looks like somebody forgot the rings! never mind the fact the maid of honor is having a wardrobe malfunction or that soon to be father in law is causing a scene of some sort. 3. after marriage { 1. honeymoon night - self explanatory! come on, you know what this means. it just wouldn't be the same without this option. 2. new addition - it could be a pregnancy or bringing home a new child, or something as simple as a new pet goldfish. 3. house purchase - after months of living in a trashy apartment, you're both about to sign the dotted line and move into your new place. 4. argument - deep, relationship sort of arguments or something petty like who drank all the milk; it's up to you! 5. divorce - somebody has had enough of this and is ready to move on. how will it all go down? 4. domesticity { 1. household chores - it's time to clean/cook/garden/take care of something! do you work together, or does one of you hide until everything is done? 2. shopping - whether it's for furniture, groceries, or something in between, shopping is something that everybody must do at some point in time! what varies is if they like it or not. 3. family vacation - WE'RE OFF TO DIDNEY WOOOOOOOOORL or wherever ... well, as long as the kids are happy, right...? you may not be happy (or maybe you are), but it's mainly about ~family bonding~. 4. romantic retreat - it's you and your loved one's anniversary, and you decide it's time to take some time off and take them somewhere nice, where you only have each other. 5. comfort - is somebody sick in bed? or perhaps they just had a bad day? sometimes, a good breakfast in bed or a home-cooked meal can really lift the spirits! or perhaps you want to try medicine, or laughter, or something else? 6. holiday - happy birthday/New Years/Christmas/Valentine's Day/whatever! it's a very special day that only comes once a year, so make it count! 7. making up -it's time to make amends for that fight/divorce/whatever you had before! after all, you love each other... right? 8. surprise, surprise - you are feeling rather loving tonight, so you want to remind the other person how much you cherish and appreciate them... if it's by something cute and adorable or hot and sexy is completely up to you.

[ Sharon pauses, the key less than an inch away from the lock. They'd never fought like that before; they'd never fought so badly that she'd gone on mission after mission in order to avoid him. If she hadn't started missing him, she probably wouldn't be standing here right now. Sure, she'd made her vows, but the Avengers had a traitor in their midst, and- she'd wanted to believe he was innocent, she had, but she hadn't been raised to trust people blindly.

And yes, she may have said some things she'd later regretted, but she'd never intended to go back on her vows. It didn't mean she didn't care about him.

She just- he just irritated the hell out of her sometimes.

She pushed the key into the lock and poked her head in. ]

Eric? You here?

[Being considered a traitor by your own wife had hurt, and Eric had naturally taken a lot of offence to the very idea. Sure he could be a jack ass and a pain at the worst of times, but being married to Sharon had managed to tune him far more into the idea of being a hero than Steve or Tony could ever manage. And yeah he'd gotten captured by HYDRA a couple times, but what the hell made them think he'd turn traitor like that?

Especially Sharon. God he loved that woman. Brave, resourceful, able to put up with a lot of his past antics, not to mention one of SHIELD's hottest on staff. And they'd never had as bad a fight until that one.

He was just sitting in the lounge, Ant Man Helmet across from him, a beer in his hand. He wasn't sober, but he wasn't stupid enough to get blind drunk either because of a lie.

Her voice got his attention though as he looked up. Not in her direction, though. The tone was level, difficult to read.]

[ That wasn't good. He didn't seem happy to see her. But then, why would he? All the years they'd been together, she'd never spoken to him so harshly. She'd snapped at him, sure. Teased him about things, sure. But she'd never accused him of intentionally hurting his friends before, of betraying them to their enemies.

The worst part was that as bad as she felt for accusing him, she still wasn't certain he hadn't betrayed them. It didn't have to be intentional. If he'd said something, led someone to a hideout... Sure, she didn't think he was the one who was betraying them so consistently, that had to be someone else. But whom? And she wasn't a good enough liar to make him think she believed him to be completely innocent.

She crept deeper inside their house, closing the door behind her. ]

[ There's no ceremony, only a courthouse, some forged identification and a few words from an officiant, and that's enough as far as Bucky is concerned. He thinks maybe Steve would have wanted a church, thinks maybe someday they could still have that--but he wants this more now, quick and binding in a place where people don't know their names. He takes Steve's hand nervously as they walk out together, his other hand--the metal hand--jammed deep into a pocket, a hat pulled down over his eyes; they're both in civilian clothes, no different as when they walked into the courthouse, no outward change, but he feels something different, the sense of something irrevocable transformed within him, within them both.

It's a good feeling, he decides.

Days later they're back at home in Brooklyn and he's relaxed enough to leave off patrolling the roof and the streets; he knows the grid of the neighborhood already, has the entire map of it in his mind, but he wants to be here with Steve, his husband, his for the rest of their lives. He makes coffee for them in the mornings, leaving a mug for him on the table and waiting for him to sit down before pushing his hands into his hair and tipping back his head and kissing his mouth, fiercely. ]

Don't go out today. [ Truthfully, neither of them have much since their return. All he seems to care to do is be with Steve every waking moment. ]

[There's no ceremony, but at the end of the day there's the two of them and the promise that they've made to one another, and that's all Steve will ever need. Bucky surprises him by being the first to reach for his hand, and he smile over at him, feeling happiness for the first time in a long time. A lot of people lay claim to Captain America, or at least try to. Steve Rogers belongs to him alone.

It's been just under a week, and Steve hasn't resumed his jogging. He reasons that he gets enough exercise without leaving the bedroom, much less the apartment. His mornings start with a cup of coffee and a kiss, and Steve hums into it.]

Hmm, I thought sugar usually went into the coffee.

[Steve smiles up at him, one arm sliding around Bucky's waist to keep him close. He leans in, nuzzling at his husband's skin.]

Wasn't planning on it. Why? [He looks up, one brow quirking with interest.] Got something in mind?
