[They were the weirdest couple of the century. Their resolves are different, opinions are different, hell they hate each other's favorite food and music. What they do have in common is their mutual agreement on solving annoying things as quickly as possible.

Tsukishima couldn't stand "the King" back in high school, but once they had entered college and had few drinks together, completely by accident and because of their friends, it seemed that they weren't on such bad terms after all. One thing led to another (or maybe it was the drinks, Tsukishima was never able to tell) and they started dating. And after few months, they agreed to share the apartment because "it's convenient, our universities are close to that place". No one actually believed that lie.

And today was one of the longest days- or so it felt. Tsukishima was dragging his feet up the stairs to the apartment, trying to keep himself awake with music blasting in his ears. After days like these he regrets entering med school.
Once inside, he kicks off his shoes and drops duffel bag near the bathroom door and heads for the living room. Of course Kageyama's watching sports channel. Some things don't change. He tosses the headphones and music player on the coffee table and drops himself on the sofa and his head on Kageyama's lap without a word.]

Running is something of a Becket family specialty. It's nothing to be proud of, it's actually pretty damn disgraceful, but it's a fact none the less. Thing is, people can change. Or at least Raleigh likes to think it's possible on some level. He's changed, hasn't he? A lot of things have changed.

A lot of time has passed. A lot of things have happened.

The breach, for one, has opened and closed within the span of his lifetime. Within the span of his family swelling and waning and then slowly balancing back out. Now with the Breach closed, though, he's had a lot of time to think. With Mako and the others by his side the hole in his heart is that little bit less raw and where he'd done just about anything to keep from thinking before...now..well. These days it's not so bad.

And he thinks maybe it's time to put the other pieces of his life back together. His parents are gone and nothing is ever going to change that, but he isn't the only remaining Becket, and with a gentle prompting from Mako and even Herc- who after Chuck's miraculous return from Pitfall, is much more family oriented, he sets off to seek out his last remaining sibling.

It might be a little insane. She might hate him. She might reject him all together.

But he's gotta try. He owes her that. And it's with that in mind this something of a homecoming bundles together and Raleigh finds himself outside an apartment with scrap of paper in his hand, address scribbled in Marshal Hansen's chicken scratch.

Deep breath, Rals. Come on.

He nearly runs.

He nearly turns and fucking bolts but he can't. And he takes a deep breath before adjusting the little rucksack on his shoulder, rustling to stall a moment longer before pressing the doorbell.
