① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.

② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?

③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.

④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.

⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.

[he hates the snow, there have been enough periods in his life where he couldn't afford to pay the heating bill and had to make do with blankets for the winter that any novelty of wintertime is totally lost. suffice to say he wouldn't be caught outside in it unprepared if he had the choice, which is why he's bundled in nothing but a hoodie when the snow starts coming down. the bus stop is deserted because apparently he's the only one who doesn't watch the news to miss the fact that they called for freak heavy snow. he's standing at the curb with his hands in his pockets and hood up, bouncing on his heels to keep warm, watching the cars pass in irritation with no sign of the scheduled bus]

( snow in virginia. it gets crisp and cool but they don't ever truly see deep snowfall. that is, until now. the crazy cavewoman seems to relish it, amazed by the similarities to the world she once knew... blue, however, finds it mildly perturbing. particularly since it began all at once, and she's trapped in between jesse dittley's cursed cave and the outside world in the small strange room that leads from his house down into the earth.

Sometimes it was just night to ignore everything else that was going on for awhile and just play in the snow. Korra couldn't honestly remember the last time she'd just let herself indulge in some winter fun and pretended that everything was okay for the time being.

Right now? She felt like she kind of deserved alittle bit of a break.

Sliding down a hill on a makeshift sled she made from a boulder, the avatar practically surfs along the snowy hillside, a bright smile on her face as she weaves in and out of trees.

Too bad she wasn't that good at it yet.

One wrong lean had her tumbling off her sled and rolling through the snow, Korra ending up in a heap a few feet away from where her sled had ended up. She's still for a moment before bursting into laughter, carefree and light for the first time in awhile.

[So a mission in a snowstorm wasn't the best idea, Jemma objectively knows that. But it's not like she's the one who planned it, and it's not like they could have predicted the weather with certainty in any event, but at least they planned for it? As well as they could, at any rate.

Jemma's secretly glad that of the senior officers in the bunch, she was paired off with Bobbi, because now that they're stuck waiting for the others in a convenient but very poorly heated little somewhere she's sure it would have been as awkward as anything to be snuggled up with May or Coulson the way they are now. And also, Bobbi is just... very nice to be snuggled up to. For heat-conserving purposes entirely. Of course.

Luckily the two have sufficient heating within Tajima's house, which is unusually empty at the moment- save for Mihashi's presence.] Doesn't look like it's letting up any time soon, either. I doubt the trains will start running again until it clears up a little.

[Tajima was really itching to go hang out at the local arcade today seeing as their school is closed due to the weather- but travelling anywhere at the moment doesn't seem very possible. He shrugs.] Guess Global Warming really dropped the ball here, huh...
