From the very basics like making sure you take care of yourself, actually taking care of you when you don't, to the frills like giving you home-cooked meals or gifts, they give and give and give, never expecting anything in return regardless of whether or not you treat them equally well. Many people would kill to be with someone like that...

Oh, but maybe you're not exactly "with" them. You could not even think of them like that, despite or because of their unwavering kindness and despite what everyone else thinks. In contrast, you could know, in your heart of hearts, that you two are together; you're just not the type to say it or you don't think you have to confirm it with them. They should know, shouldn't they? Perhaps you should tell them, though. Worst of all, however, you could realize what a good thing you had when there's a new person in the picture, eyeing your kindhearted friend with romantic attention.

[How Kisara had ended up in this situation was anyone's guess, she'd been touted in some sideshow in London proper as some sort of dragon girl. Only to be tossed aside when she never actually showed anything remotely akin to being a dragon, far more content to have hidden in the corner of her cage and left to her own devices. She'd picked up on English in the bare bones during her time touring around with the sideshow, but it was still rusty even after this time.

She hadn't expected for someone to take her in, much less someone with some sort of status and money. Not that it had mattered to her, she was just happy to be out of the cage and actually have a bed to sleep in. Whether or not she was helpful she wasn't sure, cleaning and trying to help out in whatever manner was possible. But it was hard even with Walter's help since she wanted to do something to help her savior.

Thus she ended up where she was now several months later, humming as she sweeped up the foyer of the mansion before breaking out into actual soft song in what could be taken as Arabic. Her native language as it was, still, sometimes interposing words with her English and making it a tad difficult to be understood.]
