Murphy had first heard of the Winchesters when she'd been Lieutenant of Chicago PD's "Special Investigations" unit, in charge of all the weird-ass cases that nobody really wanted to admit were supernatural, or paranormal. She'd actually tangled with the brothers once or twice since she'd been kicked off the force, because Chicago always seemed to have monsters than it had monster-hunters, and she'd tangled with Dean between the sheets, because after a good fight, it was even better to have some way to let off a little steam.

This time? They were both a little too banged up for their usual, unbridled passion, but that wasn't stopping them. They just had to take it a little more slowly.

It's not the first time he's been in this sort of situation.
