[Being stuck in a castless rendition of Groundhog Day was not Bonnie's idea of a good time. That she'd been stuck there with Damon Salvatore of all people hadn't exactly increased her enjoyment of the situation. The only good part about that was that he was somewhere where he couldn't do anyone any more harm. He was neutered and she was not so secretly pleased about that fact.

But then things changed and a way to get home had popped up, along with a new addition to change their duo to a trio, and Bonnie was surprised to find that she actually preferred Damon to their new friend. This one was... disturbing. But he had a way home and after there'd been a plan hatched to get both her and Damon out while leaving psycho family slayer in his little hell, the proverbial shit had really hit the fan.

Whatever spell she'd cast had gone incredibly awry, landing her not back in Mystic Falls, not even in nineteen ninety-four, but in some place that looked like it was the second ice age come to life, a huge wall of ice stretching as far as the eye could see.

She'd been found and brought into a castle, a castle consisting of men in black who gave her looks that made her incredibly glad that she'd relearned how to use her magic again. It had really only taken one display of setting someone's cloak on fire for them to decide she wasn't the easy target they thought she was. The worst part was that they called themselves some sort of guard, some watch force that kept an eye out and was supposed to help people.

Right. Sure. She'd sleep really well at night.

There were a few saving graces there, though. Some faces that offered her genuine smiles and who didn't look like they were just waiting for a sign of weakness to pounce on her. One of them in particular reminded her a little of Jeremy; dark hair and dark eyes that gave her soulful looks. He, at least, didn't spit on the ground in front of her when she walked around the castle, nor did he make warding symbols as if that would actually keep her from using her magic on them. He let her read what books they had, Bonnie hopeful for a way to figure out what she'd done wrong and how she could fix it. So far, no luck there.

But she'd gotten to spend an awful lot of time with one Jon Snow, and for some reason, that wasn't a bad thing.

Take now, for example. Lord Commander Snow was in his chambers, which he'd said were open to her if she needed privacy to read, and she just so happened to have another book to go through. She would adamantly deny that she'd made sure to have a bath (god, they all really just had one every ten years or so, didn't they?) and ensured her hair and clothes were was good as they were going to get without more modern help. God, she missed eyeliner. Knocking on his door, she waited a moment before opening it slowly and peeking her head around.]
