Probably the easiest meme ever. Post a blank with post with your character's name and universe. For the replier, the reply must be a dirty text to the poster's phone, or a picture of naughty parts. It can be on purpose ...or a mistyped number. ("Whoops, sorry I showed you my junk! ... But how was it?!") The original poster can reply to the text or ignore it. Have fun!
Or maybe I know you the best. This is me being the responsible one, and giving you a chance to chicken out before I tell you where I'm going to be in oh...about ten minutes.
That's your first mistake. But. Verdant, MY office, ten minutes. And we'll see who spanks who. [ They're both too stubborn for their own good; and he isn't about to let her win ]
If you only knew how many times I heard that in school, Speedy. If only.
[ Ironically, Oliver had been down in foundry the entire time...his ten minutes excuse was more or less to get changed out of his 'Arrow' gear. Or maybe to calm the wild thudding of his heart. The adrenaline in his system had nothing to do with his previous activities in the night. Once he felt more in control, he jogged up the stairs, using the keypad to allow him back into the main building of Verdant.
Maybe he was in over his head; but he'd already talked a big game to Thea, that meant no backing down, no letting her win. This was a better option than home. Sound tended to carry in their house; too many long hallways and empty rooms, here it was just the two of them. Oliver had thrown on a dark blue henley and jeans; it was easy for him to run on instinct, never allow himself to overthink things. Letting out a slow breath, he made his way over to the private office he had built, one that now belonged to Thea, and turned the doorknob. ]
[Much like him, she isn't thinking about this. This is pure instinct and an unwillingness to back down. She was a Queen after all, and having had to raise herself after Robert and Ollie's ship had sunk, it made her even more headstrong. Sadly with Oliver's persistence to keep her at arm's length to protect her, she nearly runs at this chance. She wouldn't admit that, but he's one of the few people she feels actually understands her, especially since she had a downward spiral phase, too. Lucky for her Laurel Lance had some hours she could work off instead of being marooned on a psycho killer island.
So she pulls down the pencil skirt, flattening it out, and adjusts her blouse before opening the door to her office.]
Didn't think you'd show. [She's still mostly all talk. But she's here nonetheless.]
[ It’s only a second or two before he’s face to face with Thea; somehow it feels a lot longer, each tick of the clock stretching into eternity...maybe it should have given him time to reconsider, but that just wasn’t the way Oliver operated. He’s more of...close your eyes and jump type, than entirely analytical. The sight of her is enough to make him swallow thickly at the lump forming in his throat; the office door closing, only the two of them in there, his eyebrows furrow slightly, but then he allows his lips to curve into a smirk that spoke of confidence ]
And risk you never letting me live it down? [ Oliver steps forward slowly; some of the distance between them is swallowed up, and he tilts his head, looking down at her. There’s no real attempt to seem physically imposing at the moment, but she’s a lot smaller than him either way ] Not a chance, Speedy. Besides...I’m pretty good at telling when someone is all talk.
[She mostly stands in place, sure if she moves her nerves may make her back out of this. Her hands curl into the end of her jacket, but Thea is just as strong willed as Oliver is. She manages to keep herself together despite the spike in the pulse when he moves closer. She won't let him get the best of her.]
I'm here, aren't I? Not afraid of you. [For whatever has happened to him, and all the secrets he's keeping from her, Thea believes he's the only one she can trust. Roy broke her heart, and Moira just can't be trusted as much as Thea wants to.]
Yessss. Mainly because when he went to get Thea was the best this season.
Hey. [ Something in expression softens; there have been times, more than he can count, when Oliver wanted to tell her everything. The secrets; how every scar had been received, why there were times when he seems distant. Thea deserves that and more. The danger it could put her in...that's what always stops him. His thoughts were still a little erratic; a combination of adrenaline and just..the emotional intensity that came with being this close to her. The playful nature isn't completely gone, either. It's just important that she understands something.
Lifting his hand, he brushes a few errant strands of brunette hair away from her face, letting his thumb slide across Thea's cheek ] I'd never give you a reason to be afraid of me, Thea. Not you.
I know! Plus Ollie knowing something is up with Thea
I'm not saying you have. [Her smile picks up again when he brushes her hair back. She just means she knows there are some things in him that have changed-- for the better, and she's not afraid.]
Plus I can take it. [Thea presses her lips together with a raise of her eyebrows, trying to goad him. It's not that she can't take the seriousness of what is happening. The pounding in her chest makes this very real, but she's okay. She's confident even with the nerves that are rising. Thea is all too used to keeping her head on straight no matter what.]
