COUPLE'S NIGHTLY ROUTINE MEME It's time for you and your significant other to go to sleep...no, not that way. Get your mind out of the gutter! You two are sharing a bed for whatever reason and have been for a while. Surely by now, you have a routine on how you get ready for bed. Do you help each other out with your tasks, like putting up your hair, changing into PJs, or brushing teeth? Do you watch TV before you hit the hay? Read? Does one of you want to stay up all night long while the other one just wants to sleep? Then, of course, there's the actual sleeping habits. Does trouble with human contact lead you to sleep with miles between you - and is that an issue - or do you snuggle? Could both of you whisper sweet words into each other's ears across the pillows? Having a real routine at night is still new to Rob, and the only part of it set in stone is that the cats are fed at 9 and played with at 9:15. Sometime before that is dinner, the timing depends on if someone is attempting to cook or when the delivery gets there. After that, he's open to ideas, but tries to go to bed before midnight. Tries, because some nights make it difficult to fall asleep. His body still misses the old quasi-routine of a late night sleeping pill that would make him oversleep until the cats pawed him awake for breakfast. The lingering sleepiness would lead to daytime dozing and an inability to fall asleep properly the next night. The cycle continued.

It's been gently stressed that keeping a good sleep schedule helps with everything else, and so after 9:30 is for relaxing. Sometimes, it's a movie or cards. Rarely, it's listening to music, but the lyrics can get to him. He's lost the taste for video games.

Most nights, though, if the weather is good, he finds his way outside and curls up on the porch swing. It's easier to start to nod off when he's not obsessing with how he's in bed and needs to sleep now. Like tonight - it's early spring, but it's not too chill. There's a good blanket on the swing, anyway, soft and warm, and the cushion is actually an old mattress. Robbie moves aside the book that they've been working their way through and crawls in, tucking a throw pillow under his head.

The storm door's been left ajar, as usual it's an open invitation for Rich to follow him. Rob doesn't ask often, but he's also not in the habit of turning away Rich's company. He likes it, and listening to Rich breathe - breathe is perfect, soothing white noise.

[Considering how diametrically opposite Jane and Killian were on paper, as a couple they worked remarkably well. He was supportive when she needed it, was capable of getting her to step away from her work when she was getting burned out, and gave great massages despite only having one hand. As she clicked off the television (the universal symbol for 'it's bedtime') she covered a yawn with her hand.]

I'm just going to check the computer one more time and see how that data processing is coming.

It was dark and quiet, both Nott and Leanne had to get up for work in seven hours. So while Leanne would be getting ready for bed Nott was... sitting in the living room with a cup of tea while he watched TV. It didn't seem like he had any intention of moving either.

He was always a bit slow to get to bed, he never really wanted to sleep, but some nights he was more stubborn than others. And judging from how hard he was focusing on the TV, which was showing a movie that wasn't even thatg good, this was looking to be a bad night.

[ an hour long routine that iwaizumi's entirely too used to. his own is pretty simple - brush teeth, wash face, check emails, water the house plant by the window, make sure oikawa hasn't tampered with the alarm clock so he's not late for classes in the morning, and then he's free to sit on the bed flipping through a sports magazine. oikawa's probably in the bathroom putting various products on his face. not that it makes him any more attractive. ]
