Claudia had been spending so much time studying, she didn't really find much time for personal relationships, but that didn't mean she didn't enjoy spending time with people. Maybe she needed to spend less time around computers. She just sometimes found it easier to relate to people on an intellectual level--which was probably why she found herself looking for excuses to spend time around Mr. Spock. Of course, his mind wasn't the only thing she noticed about him, but...well. He was a Vulcan. He'd never think of her that way. Would he?

Not at all~ I am intrigued.

Spock knew he wasn't a relational being, emotions, while easy to identify, weren't exactly his thing. This made making friends difficult, but he didn't need friends, friends were an illogical waste of time.

At least, that's what he's been telling himself.

So, he stuck with what he knew, and that was academics. On this particular day, Spock could be found posting on the bulletin board for torturing lessons.

When Claudia saw him standing at the board, she stopped for a moment on her way past--not wanting to interrupt if he was busy, but curious to see what was new. "Hello, Mr. Spock," she said, greeting him when he had finished his task. She wasn't sure how he felt about small talk, but it seemed more polite to say something than to just stand there reading over his shoulder. "...how are you?"

Spock turned to face the woman. He had seen her around, and from what he had heard, she was a very astute student. He was also mildly surprised to be addressed.
"Greetings Miss Donovan, I am doing well. May I inquire as to your own well-being?"

"Of course you may," she said, smiling. "And I'm very well. Just taking a break from the computer lab for a moment." She gestured to the bulletin he had just posted. "Do you anticipate having a large class?"

[there were a lot more acrobatics involved with 'Hey, let's go back to my place!' than he originally thought there'd be. First, the servants, then the worry about her dad (thankfully, out of town for some conference), and then he realized he hadn't quite thought through what all this meant until he was in her room, as awkward as the day she met him.

Now he realized what this meant. And he swallows a little bit, pulling his scarf down a little from his neck. He wasn't sure if it was hot, or if he was just suddenly nervous.]

Nice place... a little crazy getting in here, but... [he approaches her to wrap his arms around her]

[Asami hadn't been very worried about getting the both of them through the manor undetected. She had the servants' monitoring routes mapped out in her head, including the alternate ones her father instructed them to take when he was out of town.

Nothing could have prepared her for this part of the night, however. They were finally alone like this in her bedroom, and it was like a fantasy coming true to have Mako here with her. The thought had crossed her mind to finally go all the way, but they didn't have the discussion, and Mako's sudden nervous behavior made her all the more reluctant to bring it up.

All the same, their interaction seemed to carry a different, quieter tone.

She let him take her in his arms, and she rested her palms against his chest.]

You know what they say, if there's a will... [She stopped herself from completing the phrase and wrapped her arms around his neck.] But I promise getting you out of here will be a lot easier. You can relax.

[somehow, her promise was instantly quieting to his nerves, even if he was still unsure about their ultimate purpose for being alone, unmonitored... in her bedroom. It was a little embarrassing to admit that his experience with girls had never even gotten so far as saying goodbye to her on her doorstep.

Much less actually getting inside of her house.]

Sorry-- guess I'm not used to my girlfriend having servants that double as alarms. [it's partially a joke, and yet 100% true at the same time. He leans down and kisses her, but briefly]

[Asami took his jest in stride and offered him a semi-apologetic expression. She wasn't really that sorry for stealing alone time, but she didn't want to put him off. It had her thinking that maybe this was a little too aggressive.

She returned his kiss, somehow more conscious of their touch than usual.]

Well, we can stand here and talk. [There was a playful glint to her eyes as she suggested that.] Or we can light some candles and take it easy.

[She gently pulled herself away and nodded towards a small collection of arranged candles.] I'm just happy to finally be alone with you like this, whatever that means.

[that was easy enough to agree to. But even Mako wasn't clueless about what candles meant in a situation like this-- they played all too easy into his ideas of how something like this was supposed to go, and he tries really hard to slow his roll. He didn't want to seem over eager, and out of character for him.

Whatever out of character meant in this situation.] Let's... take it easy. [there's a hint of a laugh in his voice, which is strange enough on it's own.] Because we could've stood and talked in the park, or something like it.

[The full moon's light made the snow so bright it felt like it could blind someone if they stared at it too long. Cross used to warn her about that when they trudged into the parts of the world untouched by human hands. He left her out in those places with a knife and a canteen. Her only guide was always those warnings.

She rests her hand on the edge of the window frame, watching the still night. Lavi had been researching in the library downstairs and it had been up to her to stand guard. Whether he found the answers he wanted or not, she'd stay on guard.

They're far from the city and she prefers it that way. Modern raised she might be, the wilderness feels safer and more familiar. Her eye activates, the black overtaking her cornea as she scans the forest around the two-story townhouse one last time. The trees bare of their leaves and the ever greens surrounding the back are clear just like they had been two hours ago.

She's being paraniod and she knows it but she's never had someone get so close to her heart as Lavi has. It's a bad idea but they've both commited to it. There's no turning back now.

She is taller than the average sprout right?

[To say he was burning the midnight oil wouldn't at all be far away from the truth, he had discovered the set of files he was looking for about five minutes after the last chime. That was an hour ago. Sad thing was, he was trying to hurry with it, against all of his training. This was a hot zone even if all current fighting was to the north, the last thing he wanted was for Allison to get caught.

Especially since the files he was looking for was on similar research that went into her alterations. He found the files though, all the copies too, and threw them in the wood stove after he memorized them. Lavi shuffles things back together downstairs exactly as he found it, if a few degrees warmer, then slips upstairs.

He knows she can hear him coming even as he moves as quietly as a rabbit can, it was very hard to surprise Allison. Lavi wraps his arms around her waist, pulling her back gently into his chest as his chin settles on her shoulder.]

Yepp she's slightly taller than Kanda, so her and lavi are almost the same height.

[She's been so lost in thought she almost doesn't hear Lavi coming up the staircase. He's a little too good at sneaking around sometimes. Allison leans back into his warm arms and reaches up to toy with his hair.]

No. There's nothing out there. It's been all clear for more than three hours.

[She's a bit tense, her finger curling strands of his flame red hair around them as her mind works at what it all might mean. It's too active of an area to say that's a good sign.]

If you're ready, I can open a gate. We really shouldn't linger here.

[Her voice has an edge of strain to it. She'd sat alone in the dark watching like an owl for any sign of movement. She wants to go back to where they're not in heaps of danger and can relax for a night.]

[Hey, he was learning from the best! She was a good teacher, almost as good as Bookman had been, and that's only because he learned more knowledge than practicality from the old man. Book smarts never equalled street smarts. With the hand in his hair he presses his warm nose to her cool neck, rolling the idea in his head of breathing on it or perhaps kissing it to warm it up.

But he knew better than to distract her out in the field, even this nearness was near the limits. Being this close meant he was at least out of danger of getting attacked with her not around? Not that he was helpless either.]

Yeah, all the taxidermy is starting to creep me out. [Just the animal heads in general, staring at him while he worked. Yeah, just...no.

He lifts his head and glances over his shoulder back at the house. Mentally checking over everything and reviewing if he'd left anything out of place.] They shouldn't even know we were here.
