Hot springs are considered rejuvenating in many cultures, from Asia to Europe. All that natural heat and the minerals from the earth flow through water and call throngs of people to come and enjoy the resorts that pop up around these wonders of the world. You, however, would never go to one. You're insecure about baring it all in public; maybe you don't even go out in public because your appearance would make the uncaring crowd lash out at you. Maybe it's just not your scene. You could not know anything about hot springs!

But you're at one now, no matter what, and you're going to be taking a skinny dip - or near it - whether you like it or not. To make matters worse, you're sharing your little pool with someone else. Hey, you don't know them! This place could not even be in your world or your time.

There's little options otherwise, though, so you might as well enjoy the time you're here. Soak and relax, let those tired muscles get a break. Soon, all your troubles, your worries, your ailments, your imperfections all begin to fade away...as do your misconceptions. You know this person, don't you? Yes, you do. Actually you know them very well. You're with them. You came with them, it seems to you, to reconnect, a lover's getaway. After all, what's more steamy than a hot springs?

So go ahead, do what you've intended to do. No one will mind if you get a little frisky in the springs if it helps out your relationship; besides, what do you think some of the extra natural minerals are for? They'll certainly help you get hot under the collar, not that you'll need that. Your (new) mutual history should be enough.

Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Include canon information and anything relevant to the meme, as well, if you'd like.

ooc: Nagisa is 15-16 years old, but can be aged up if you prefer. He's a very bright, bubbly person, who would do anything for a friend. He's on the Iwatobi Swim Team, which means a lot to him. A hot spring will certainly help ease some sore swimming muscles.

Devon sank into the bubbling hot water with a tired sigh. Of all the amenities here at Spenser Academy, she was exceedingly grateful for the hot springs, a natural entity protected by the school and modified only slightly for student use. Beat the hell out of paying for a spa, really.

Finals week had so far been grueling; carrying such a subject load this semester had really put a damper on any other activities, much to her chagrin. Thus she'd been all but oblivious to the "happenings" elsewhere on campus, other than half-listening to her gossiping roommate relating a few details here and there.

But quad gossip was far from her mind this evening. She was tired, a touch out of sorts, edgy for a reason other than intensive studying, and simply wanted to sink down in the heated water, lean her head back on the smooth stone and close her eyes, even going so far as to untie the top of her swimsuit and let it drift free, a soft involuntary moan escaping at the feel of every muscle beginning to relax.

Caleb was fairly certain that she didn't see as she passed by him. She seemed to be in her own little world as she stripped off her top. He in turn, moaned softly, as he slipped off his shorts, stepping into the springs, letting the heat from the water seep into his bones.

"I hope you don't mind some company?"

The voice had her opening her eyes, blinking to see a quasi-familiar face. Ah, Danvers something...Caleb, that was it. Rather than be embarrassed to be half-naked in hot water with a nice-looking young man, as might any other seventeen year old, Devon simply shrugged and smiled.

"Not at all." She waved a wet hand invitingly. "Make yourself comfortable."

Caleb got in the water, letting his head fall back, as his head rested on the stone. He let the water seep into his pores and soothe him like nothing else had ever been able to.

"Your beautiful you know that?" He asked, his tone low.

[Jess is 19 years old and the commanding officer of a tank battalion. She's ambitious and rather serious, but also kind and caring. It's probably gonna take a bit of altering for her to go along with any of this.]

[These breaks from the end of the world are so few and far between for them that Dean doesn't even hesitate to strip down and sink into the hot water with a low groan once he determined it wasn't going to boil him alive. His head falls back against the side of the spring and he closes his eyes, unable to think of the last time he'd had a hot bath or shower. His muscles immediately start to relax, unclenching from hours of adrenaline fueled action.]

Holy crap, Cas. Best. Idea. Ever.

[ Castiel is no longer an angel. And he was never a saint. So, he doesn't feel all that bad watching Dean strip and admiring the view. Things are... strange between them. He never quite knows where he stands with Dean and it only gets more confusing the longer he goes without a high. Cas is in a lull now, saving his last couple of pills in some ironic sense of self preservation and hopes for the future. He strips himself quickly and slides into the water, letting out an obscene little moan as he sinks all the way down to his chin. It's unusual to find a hot spring like this now, wasn't even sure Dean would go along with his plan to relax for a few minutes, but he is really really not complaining. ]

Sometimes, these springs will have natural minerals that aid in relaxation.

[For his part, Dean can ignore the eyes on his body. He knows Cas swings every which way, that's just how he is. Confusing is a good term for how to put them. Even Dean himself isn't one hundred percent sure, but he spends most of his time focused on the mission at hand. And that little noise Castiel makes should be illegal.

He snorts, splashing the water a little in his direction.]

Don't ruin the moment with your Mother Earth sermons, man.

[ Castiel's smile widens lazily and he leans back against the rocks, throwing his arms over the edges to keep himself steady. He can't help but let out a little laugh at Dean's comment. His sermons. Yes, the biggest bunch of lies he can come up with and preach about. He says it's to comfort those around him, to give them something to believe in but honestly he's not sure what good it even does anymore. ]

You could benefit from my sermons, you know. There was a time you would, dare I say it, even indulge in them. [ A pause. ] Or at least the activities surrounding them.

[That earns him a roll of the eyes as Dean lets his head fall back again. He knows Cas talks a bunch of hooey, and he knows how effective that hooey is at getting into women's pants. The guy was seriously a master at landing the ladies, almost enough to rival Dean's own skill. Almost.]

Hey, who's sayin' I don't still indulge in those activities? Just more...one on one time, less menage a twenty.

[ Castiel turns his head to look incredulously at Dean and lets out a laugh. Sex is meaningless to him anymore, never really had a meaning to begin with. He started doing it for the same reason he started drugs. It's an outlet, a way to forget. ]

Oh you indulge, sure, but its just cleaning out the pipes, as you would say. When was the last time you enjoyed yourself? Honestly lost yourself to it?

[ It's hard to discuss sex and not think of Dean in the throws of passion, panting and flushed with arousal. It's something, if he's honest with himself, he's thought of before. If Cas lets his gaze wander down Dean's chest for a moment before darting back up to his eyes, well that's his business. ]

[Dean's mouth curves down at the corners and he cracks open his eyes to peer at his friend.]

When was the last time you lost yourself to it without the influence of somethin' in your system, Cas? Hard to picture you doing it sober.

[Not that Dean is picturing Castiel doing anything of the intimate variety, of course. Even though it's not difficult, with the amount of times he's stumbled in on one of the former angel's orgies--those left little to the imagination. He doesn't miss the trailing of eyes, but it's not surprising, not with Castiel's clear swinging for any team that showed an interest.]

Bet you you can't without some indulgence first.

[ Cas closes his eyes and tries to look like he's deep in thought. In actuality it's not hard to answer Dean's question. It just makes something inside Castiel's stomach swim around uncomfortably, and it feels a little too much like guilt to him. He tries to recount how many people he's been with and can't come up with a number, can't even remember a lot of names. Cas hates that Dean can so easily make him feel shameful for his actions, even if Dean doesn't intend to. ]

Probably the first time... wait no. I was drunk for that. Hmm... there was a girl named Beth? Beverly? No, we both took something beforehand. Huh. Guess I don't remember.

[ Castiel tries to laugh it off but the sound is hollow even to his own ears. Doing it sober would make it mean something and would require him to trust someone else with the parts of himself he hates. And Cas is not entirely sure he has anything left in himself to give to another person to make it worth their while anyways. Not going to let Dean know he's right, though. Can't have him getting a big head. ]

Oh, I could. It's just easier to lose yourself with some encouragement of some kind. Like now? I'm stone cold terribly sober. Would take more courage to try anything.

[Dean's eyebrows are nearly touching his hairline by the time he's finished talking.]

So, you're tellin' me you're too much of a sissy to try sober sex. Is that right?

[He pushes away from the wall a little, straightening and giving Castiel his full attention.]

Here I thought you were some kind of sex guru. You've never had straight up, good old fashioned, vanilla-y sober sex.

[ Cas scrunches up his eyebrows and turns a bit to face Dean, a bit affronted. ]

Not sissy, no. Never had the inclination.

[As Dean pushes away from the wall towards him, Cas frowns at him and squints. Some habits die hard.]

I've been told I'm not missing much.

What asshat told you that?

[He frowns right back at him, even though the little glimmers of the old Cas that sometimes shine through are strangely satisfying.]

You need to find yourself a girl...or dude, whatever...and try some awesome sober sex.

I've heard it been said around camp. Mostly by men. They imply it's a more... emotional act and therefor undesirable.

[ It's sort of terrible how easy it is for Cas to throw on a fake smile and forget that anything matters. ]

I doubt anyone would want that type of connection with me. Besides, I avoid sobriety at all costs. Things are better that way.

Well that's just...

[Dean's frown deepens, and he splashes his way towards him slowly.]

...Just crap. You got half the chicks in camp goo-goo over your ass. Bet if you just asked you can find one, at least. Not that I'm not with you on the bein' sober thing, but sometimes it ain't half-bad to be straight, you know?

[ Cas watches Dean move closer and can't seem to keep the impish smile on his face. He has to take a second to swallow and when he collects himself, the smile turns bitter. ]

You act like I mean anything I say in those sermons. Any woman that holds interest in me because of them is just misguided. If they were sober they wouldn't listen, they would know better.

[ That makes him realizes how sober he is right now and can't help but deflate. He hates feeling this way. Hates feeling. He starts scanning the side of the hot spring for his pants where he knows he has at least a few pills of... something left. The quicker he gets them in his system, the better. ]

I'm a fraud, Dean. You know that. I'm just trying to get by in a world that I don't belong it. So I'm... what was it? Ah yes, I'm just making it up as I go.

[ Cas locates his pants and wrestles the orange bottle out of one of the many pockets with a triumphant little laugh. There are only three pills left and he pours them out on his hand to see which one looks the most promising. ]

[Dean scowls, watching him shuffle through his pants, searching for something--which becomes obvious when he pulls out the pill bottle. Of course. He hadn't really commented on the drugs thing, not since their last big blowout over it, knowing Cas served his purpose in the camp. And that purpose was apparently being a major fraud, even though Dean still depended on him with his life. Hell, with everyone's lives.

He does reach out and hold onto the wrist of the hand holding the pills gently, trying to get Castiel's attention off them and back on him.]

You really gotta be high when it's just you and me? Still that hard to be around me, Cas?
