THE GREATEST love of your life MEME

They call it the "one greatest love," the affection towards that singular special someone that defines a person's life, making all other relationships pale in comparison to it. Everyone, theoretically, has one waiting in the wings, but unfortunately, most never find theirs. You, on the other hand, have, whether you wanted to or not. That kind of emotion could have previously never been in your repertoire, at least never above something platonic.

Now, you're over the moon. Head over heels and genuinely full of...light? Hope? This other person is your everything, and for once in your life, there's someone so important that it drives you to do anything for them. Actually, your love is so intense, so without abandon, that it turns right back around into being selfless, if need be. And they return your feelings.

Is this something you wanted? How do you respond to being with someone who cares for and understands you? Can you actually express this love? What if you're not used to being happy?

...and what if you have to act in your beloved's benefit, even if it ruins this happiness?

This is a fairly simple meme for those who want to want to play an epic romance, no matter the character, character type, or alignment.

Sam tugged at his tie uncomfortable as hell in the suit without Dean by his side. It's also hard to give yourself an air of authority when your arm in in a sling under your suit jacket. It was also weird as hell to be back in Starling City when he hadn't been here since he was a teenager after his dad, Dean and he had helped someone in the Glades with a haunting and then booked it before the only uncorrupt cop on their force had busted them for credit card fraud.

But the rumors of super solders and superpowers had peaked his interest and here he was standing in the lobby of Queen Consolidated hoping Queen or his staff might open up a bit about what's been going on to Agent DeYoung from the FBI. He was not expecting to see Felicity Smoak come walking toward him however.

Dean had had Cassie, the woman he'd told everything and his older brother had assumed that that would have been Jess for Sam. But Sam had met the love of his life years before that. Felicity had been everything, smart, funny and one of the best hackers he'd ever seen. It had been love at first sight and he'd snuck away every chance he'd gotten to be with her. His life story had spilled out just before they'd had to run and he'd always felt horrible for dumping that on her and then running away.

Now here she was and here he was and Sam had the feeling that things were about to get super complicated super fast. He pulled himself to his full height and eyed the door ready to make a quick escape if she was gonna hit him.

Felicity had a hand full of files when she walked off the elevator, as she always did. She was looking down at the file in her hand, and she froze at the name. She had stopped dead in the lobby, and she was reading, absently biting her lip. Her ponytail was swung over one shoulder.

She had changed a lot since she met Sam so long ago, but Sam knew things about her that no one else did, or ever would. She knew that he was her one great love, and no one else would compare. There were things that Sam didn't know about her life now though, things that she would not tell him, because it taken Oliver months to forgive her from the last time she spilled his secret.

She straightened her shoulders and walked over to him.

"Agent DeYoung?" She asked. "Felicity Smoak. I am Oliver Queen's EA. What can I help you with?" She asked, keeping it professional given thee fact they were standing in the lobby of queen consolidated.

Sam keeps his face in a neutral expression as he flashes his badge for appearances sake since he knows Felicity knows it is fake as fake can be. "I was hoping to speak to Mr. Queen in regard to recent events in the city. Given the strangeness of the situation, both the FBI and Homeland Security were concerned that a bio terrorism agent has gotten loose. I understand that he may not have time for me but this is an important matter...world ending as it were."

Sam hides the flash of jealousy that crosses his heart when he mentions Queen, he knows the man's reputation and hearing that Felicity works so closely with him hurts even though he was the one who ran off. "In fact I was hoping to speak to any staff that was here that night given that the current CEO was rumored to be involved."

Felicity does have the courtesy to look down at the badge. "I'm sure you would, but very few people get in to see Mr. Queen, that's why he has me," She said, tilting her head to the side a bit.

"Follow me," She said, as she turned on her heel, the click of her shoes echoing through the lobby. She keyed into the private elevator, waiting for Sam to enter, before letting the doors close.

She leaned against the side of the elevator, her arms crossed across her chest, staring at him.

"Well? Are you going to talk Sam?"

Sam enters the elevator and once the doors shut he slouches slightly so it's easier to look Felicity in the eye. "Felicity look....I know you are pissed at me, hell I'd be pissed at me for what I did but...we have to leave. My Dad didn't give me much choice and well then things got complicated and I figured it would be easier to stay away rather than drag you into all my crap."

The words spill out with an ease that Sam isn't surprised by after all talking to Felicity had always been easy. He'd felt like she'd listen and understand in a way Jess never would have as gentle and kind as Jess had been. "I'm here because I was worried. What happened here sounded like mass possession and I was worried...you're okay right?"

Felicity listens to Sam and actually laughs. He made it sound so simple.
"Sam you took off after our first time together, my first time.... ever, well okay you probably didn't need or want to know that, but oh well there it is, and you ask me if I'm okay?"

"The answer to that would be decidedly no."

"Okay I deserved that," Sam said sheepishly, "and wow...okay I ended up being more of a jerk then I realized...but...I'm here now.....and I'm worried about you....stuff is happening and I just needed to make sure you were okay...which you are and I.....really am not explaining myself because there are cameras and your boss most likely doesn't know you know about hunters."

He sighs. "And if I'm being honest with myself I...missed you....every day...for years...but I thought you'd hit me if I came back. Plus my life hasn't been sunshine and roses since that night...."

"Stuff is happening," She muttered as she began to pace back and forth in the elevator. She froze and pulled out her tablet, feeding Oliver and Diggle a continuous feed, and stopped the elevator.

"We have 10 minutes before Oliver and Dig send a search party, and for your information my boss knows more than you think he does. What do you want Sam?"

She couldn't bring herself to think about what this means for her personally.

He stares at her. "You told Oliver Queen, playboy of the year about hunters," he asks trying not to sound pissed off about it. He hates the idea of some stranger who doesn't know Sam or his family finding out about them. He takes a deep breath and counts to twenty. "Okay look my brother has gotten tangled into something nasty, he's changed and I'm concerned about him coming after people I care about."

He sighs. "Kitten," he adds hoping the use of the old nickname will get her to listen, "he doesn't know about you but that doesn't mean he can't find out and if he hurt you I'd never forgive myself."

Felcity's eyes narrow on Sam, and before he could even blink she was standing toe to toe with Sam, pushing him into the elevator wall, her eyes on fire.

"You are an ass, do you really think I would betray you like that?" She shot out. "You my darling Samuel are not the only hunter out there."

She also knew that she couldn't tell Sam about Oliver without his permission, so she stepped back at his next words. Shit. She now knew he didn't need to speak to Oliver, but the Arrow.

"Do you understand how complicated my life just got? What makes you think that Oliver can help you, and Kitten really?"

Sam could have safely freed himself without hurting Felicity but he knows better then to try it when she's on a tear like this. "I'm not asking that damm playboy to help me, I just wanted to make sure none of those soldiers were possessed because you know as well as I do that once demons get a foothold then they don't let go."

He looks at her. "And I wanted to see you again, Felicity you have no idea how often I've thought of you and what I've been through to get here. I almost died last year...so can we not do this now."

"He's not a playboy," Felicity shot back. She hated that particular rumor about Oliver. It wasn't even funny.

"They aren't possessed at least not in the way you think," She replied, her head shooting up. "What do you mean you almost died?" She reached out again. "What happened?"
