[It's not often that he gets to sleep without the voices of the dying stepping on the back of his feet every step of the way into dreamland, so it's a bizarre and novel experience to find himself waking feeling... some measure of refreshed. The Fleet stuff isn't bad, per se, but it isn't the best either. It's just what they manage to pick up whenever they make a stop and sopor can be rare depending on where in the universe you drop off. Hell, it feels like even the hangover isn't really that bad as it could be.]

[Even more of a novelty is feeling someone nestled close up against him, the difference in body temperature hardly even noticeable thanks to time and the minimal distance between the two colors. It's been a while, and it's nice. Being made of bones and elbows doesn't allow too much opportunity for cuddling, and he subconsciously shifts to face his clinger while shoving his way into consciousness.]

[It's only when he remembers who he's sleeping with and some fragments of the talks they had last night do his eyes snap open and he goes a bit stiff. Oh. Okay. Yeah. That was a thing that happened.]

[Very delicately, he untangles himself as best he can from her with his psionics sputtering into action. It aggravates his headache, but he's used them under worse conditions and a little hangover is nothing. When he's done, he promptly pchooos out and straight into the bathroom.]

[It's not... technically running away, right?]

[He just needs a minute to wash his face and arms of sopor and then press his forehead against the mirror, muttering to himself all the while.]

[The lack of the thing to curl around is really what wakes her. She's used to sleeping alone lately, given how far her materailmesis is from her, but there had been a person there last night and she was far too easily swayed back to cuddling.

She opens her eyes to empty sopor and a dull throb in her head. There's a lazy long moment where she pieces back together the night before. Oh--that happened. He left. Of course he left. You propositioned him to be a quadrant he knew she had filled. After sex. After she had just met him.]

[She groaned and slid into the deeper parts of the coon, letting the sopor reach up to her chin. Dumb Dumb dumb.]

[His ears twitch as he catches something indistinct from the other room and he wavers for a moment. Is this really okay? There's some gleeful assole voice singing in the back of his mind now that you're both 2ober, 2he'2 goiing to 2ee what a fuckhop me22 of a troll you really are! that he doesn't know how to shut up. All the unhealthy energy of a manic swing with the self-loathing of a depressive one. Great.]

[Something finally comes to him, however, and he hesitantly floats back into the block proper. His psionics make his presence known before he peeks over the edge of the 'coon, making the air thick and tingling with brief tiny flashes of energy.]

[Her hair is doing a weird floaty thing in the sopor when he looks in and that's going to take several minutes to wash out, let's be honest, but it was a misery thing. She was assuming the privacy to sadly wash a pound of sopor out of her hair.

Static and flickers do announce him but she's not really sure what she's seeing until his face pops into view]

Oh--you're here. [She blinks] Um...Try the bag on the table?

That would be lovely. [He gets a bit of a smile for his troubles and she shifts to sit up. Oh great her hair weighs a ton]

[He pushes himself off the coon, psionics nabbing the bag so that he can rustle through it himself. There's a moment when he goes back to the bathroom as well, just to snag a pair of cups of water. It's good to keep his mind busy. Who knows? He might actually avoid a flip out and look decent.]

[Soon enough, he's floating- and the cups too- back into the room.]

[There's just the briefest of moments where he tenses up before he loosens with a shudder, letting out a slow long breath. He's snapped at people who've gotten touchy with his horns before, mostly on the basis of aliens having no goddamn sense of personal space, but... this is okay. He thinks.]
