THE BODY HEAT MEME

Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.

Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.

A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!

So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!

Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

[Find a place to sit, she says. He sighs and looks for a good corner. Corners were good, right? Things on both sides to maybe help pin the table cloth and keep their warmth in a bit.]

Try, huh? We'll just have to find a good position to sit in.

[ She drags the cloth from the counter. It's a little difficult, given how stiff her fingers are getting, but she's frustrated with the situation more than outright afraid. Snow. Snow was stupid and hard to adjust to when you had grown up on a tropical island. ]

Really hope you're not allergic to dogs.

[ She wiggles one fluffy white ear, waiting for him to sit in the corner. ]

Kind of make being best friends with a werewolf a problem, huh?

[He goes over to the corner, hunching down and waiting for her, skin prickled with goosebumps.]

Maybe you just avoid him when the moon is all full.

[ Jade unfolds the table cloth, draping an edge of it on top of his lap, before sort of tucking it around his leg. She ducks to the other side of it then, trying to fold it back against herself as she butts up against his side. ]

I'm never eating another popsicle.

Good thing I'm not allergic.

[His arm is lifted, waiting for her to settle in against his side -- which he assumes she's going to do because warmth. Warmth is good.]

You say that now. Wait until it's over a hundred degrees out.

[nukeoleptic]

I would kill for it to be a hundred degrees out right now. You don't have a Tauntaun in your back pocket, do you? Some other sort of large mammal that we can cut open for warmth? -- god, that's actually really gross.

[ She does settle against his side, but just being held under his arm like that seems like an unfairly one-way street as far as heat is concerned. She twists to face him a little more, wrapping her arm around his midsection. ]

How're your fingers and toes?

[Being held back is good. He won't complain.]

Sorry, no Tauntauns or any other large mammals we can live inside. Just me. I don't think you'll fit in me, either.

[They're curled up close together, but it's still chilly, their body heat not having had enough time to build up yet.]

Icicles. My nose is going to fall off. I am going to be the amazing noseless girl.

[ She wrinkles her stiff nose a little bit, before finally giving up and resting her cheek against his shoulder. ]

If you can't thaw me when this is over, you'll write a really nice eulogy for me, right? Even pretend to cry a little bit? [ None of these theatrics are even slightly authentic. She's just cold and a little whiny and unwilling to sit here in silence - it's too easy to focus on it that way. ]

Your nose is not going to fall off. Other things of mine are. Things I need to use.

[He tips his head to rest it on top of hers, blowing at the tip of one furry ear.]

I'll shed a single manly tear and regale everyone with all your antics.

[nukeoleptic]

[ She flicks her ear against his chin, turning to slide her arm across his stomach and waist. ]

Did you seriously just imply to me that your dick is gonna fall off?

[teenyoda]

... I might have. It's more likely than your nose falling off.

[nukeoleptic]

[ She's fighting laughter now. ]

Well, if you need some privacy, I hear friction is a great way to heat something up...

Funny girl. I wouldn't want to make you lose your nose just so I can have a little alone time.

Hey, don't make that face at me. I was just offering a suggestion on how to make sure Little Stiles stays alive. Poor guy.

[ She does touch her cold nose against the bend of his neck, though. ]

Mm, well, my hands are too cold to do much good. I'd probably break it off.

[The cold of her nose makes him shiver for a moment, but he also tucks her closer, hand rubbing over her shoulder to try to warm her up.]

[ She grins a little despite herself at the shiver, stroking her own hand against his stomach. ]

Don't do that. That sounds gross. And probably hard to explain away.

Yeah, I'm trying not to be a eunuch, thanks.

[Okay, so... maybe he was liking her curling up against him like this. Maybe a little. Maybe... yeah.]

But then you could guard allll the princesses. You don't want to be a princess guard?

[ Squirming a little closer, nosing at his collar. ]

You smell good. Is that weird? Maybe it's the tablecloth. I hope it's not the tablecloth, that would be weird.

What's the point in guarding the princesses if you can't play with them?

[He grinned, chin resting on top of her head for a moment.]

Do I? Probably my shampoo. Or just my natural smell that's luring you in. Feel lured yet?

You could still play with the princesses! Just not sexy play. Bet you'd be killer at a tea party, though.

[ She snorts when his chin rests on her head, flicking her ear against his cheek again, before shifting an inch or two to press her lips in a kiss to his throat. ]

Oh, yes. Absolutely lured.

I gave up tea parties after the debacle of 03. Can't do it.

[He lips over her ear, taking it in his mouth and biting lightly with his lips covering his teeth. Hah, take that.]

Jade... are you flirting with me? In the cold? When I could lose my dick?

[ She laughs, stomach doing an embarrassing flip at the gentle bite to her ear. ]

I'm just trying to stay warm! And entertained. And I told you: you smell good.

Do I taste good, too?

[He nuzzled into her hair, smelling her shampoo and that little bit of Jade that lingered over her.]

Don't know.

[ Her hand crawls to his hip, lightly curving her fingers around it as she bumps her mouth and chilly nose against his throat again. ]

Is that- uh, is that an invitation, Mr. 'Omg No Don't Flirt With Me'?

Did I say 'Omg no don't flirt with me'? Noooo. I was just querying as to whether you were flirting or not. Guy's gotta know, Jade.

[The hand on her shoulder went from rubbing briskly to sort of... massaging a bit. The one under the cloth might have maybe found a thigh that wasn't his to rest on.]
