Forbidden Love
![]() | ||
You're stuck in a messed up or forbidden romance, but you can't resist the draw of it. Maybe your families are feuding, you're cheating on a lover, or you're in love with your own sibling. Whatever the reasons are, you know your relationship wouldn't be approved of by a long shot. You just can't resist the temptation though. - Post your character's name in the subject, along with series and preferences. - Others go to RNG and roll 1-5 for a scene and relationship type (if needed), then 1-6 for a scene and respond! - ??? - Profit!!! |
Relationship Type (optional) 1. Family - you're keeping it all in the family, literally. 2. Balance of power - the other person has a higher status than you somehow. 3. Cheating - you're both having an affair together. 4. Caught in the middle - it's nothing you've done, but the feud going on between those you're both close to keeping you apart. 5. Other - some other type of relationship we've forgot? Want to combine? Go right on ahead! Scenes Sweet 1. Can't deny it - you've tried to run from your feelings for so long and you can't do it anymore. It's time that you show the object of your affection exactly how you feel. Hopefully you don't lose everything in the process! 2. First time - it's your first time making love together. Is it awkward? Do you go all out or is it spur of the moment? 3. Accidental - you didn't actually mean to confess or kiss. They overheard you or it was an accidental kiss. Maybe you were just really drunk and let it slip! 4. Close as can be - you just want to make love and you've found a spot where it's just you and your partner, however you want it to be. 5. Happily ever after - somehow, you've made it work and you're both happy together, even if it meant you had to run away together. 6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here! Angst 1. Conflict - you've just had a fight with your lover over your relationship or how you handle it. Can you find it in yourselves to forgive each other? 2. Cheated - your lover has cheated on you and you need to confront them about their reasons why and if you can work it out. 3. Found out - you've been found out by someone close to you and they're less than thrilled with your relationship. 4. Disgust - though they play along with it, they're secretly disgusted by the relationship they have with you and it finally comes out into the light. 5. Guilt - one of you is feeling guilty over your relationship, knowing it can never be truly normal or more than a secret. 6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here! Comfort 1. Soothing touch - what better way to sooth your lover than to make love to them and show them that no matter what other people say, you're not going anywhere. 2. Fight for you - whoever has found out about your relationship is trying to hurt your lover and you're not going to let them. 3. Won't let you go - you need your lover to realize that you won't let them go, no matter what. 4. Back together - you broke up for a bit, but whatever it is between you two, you can't stay apart. 5. Injured - your lover was injured because of your relationship and it's time to patch them up. 6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here! Twisted 1. Forced - you know your partner isn't interested in you like this, but you keep them going along with the relationship no matter what. Coercion, blackmail, whatever it takes. 2. Won't take no - their lips might say no, but you're not listening. 3. Control - you've given them some kind of potion to get your love interest to love you in return and they have to do whatever you say. 4. Recorded - you're not really interested in this forbidden love affair, but you must do it or you'll face some tough consequences. 5. Insult - you're cornered by those who disapprove of your relationship, hearing how filthy you are. 6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here! Ending 1. Left alone - you woke up to your lover trying to slip away in the night because of the strain of the relationship. Do you let them go or try and fight for it? 2. Torn apart - others are keeping you apart after they found out about your relationship, giving you only minimal contact. What do you do? 3. Ending fight - the argument has turned dirty and ends with one of you storming out. 4. Parting ways - both of you have decided to part ways. It's just so much easier. 5. Always love you - though you'll always love each other, maybe it's time the relationship goes back to being strictly platonic. It would be easier... or maybe that's just how one of you feels. 6. Other - is there another scene you'd like to play out? Want to combine something? Do it here! |

Shisui Uchiha || Naruto
Angst! 5. Guilt
Instead, here they were. Four years later, with ever growing responsibilities, changing perceptions of the world, facing the scrutiny of a huge number of the Uchiha clan. Their friendship had been talk of the clan for years, a couple of kids who would quite possibly be the most formidable of their generation and maybe even further back. Always together, working together, laughing together, studying, fighting, training.
Things were different now. Questions, constantly. Why did they spend so much time together? They were almost adults, surely they should be showing an interest in girls? Which one of them would find love first? Shisui surely, he was older. It had driven Itachi crazy to hear the murmurs when people thought he wasn't listened, and it hurt even more to see Sasuke being judged for his relationship with Naruto.
He'd gone off on a mission by himself, despite Yondaime's protests. It was too soon from his last mission, didn't he want to take Shisui with him, and that little grin...? He'd left though - and decided to stay out for another night before his return. The forests in the outskirts of Konoha were peaceful, and familiar to him. He wanted to give himself some time to think, to deliberate, to focus on his relationship he supposed.
Bawww.
But soon, they would push him to take a wife. And as the only child and heir to the kotoamatsukami, it was his duty to do that, even if he didn't want to. It wasn't something he talked about often, more of a passing phrase here and there, but when he was alone, or during the supportive dinners between his parents and himself, his mind tended to wander to darker territory.
When he was told not to go on the mission with Itachi, there had been a pang of...something, there. An undercurrent of feelings that he hadn't been expecting. Something was wrong, wrong with his partner, but he wasn't even here to ask.
But he felt his chakra the night he returned, and suiting up, he slipped out of the gates and hunted him down. There were no spying eyes out here, no listening ears; they would have time to themselves, to be themselves.
He flickered in next to Itachi, sitting beside him calmly. There was a moment of silence before he quietly asked, "Mission go well?"
;-;
He'd been sat up in his tent when Shisui arrived by his side, but all he managed was a slow turn of his head to look at his partner, and the very slight curvature of his mouth into something that resembled a smile. "Yes."
He worked well in teams, but on missions like this, he tended to be lethal. Precise, quick, thorough. If only that extended to his relationship with Shisui, this whole thing would be far easier to conclude. For now, they would sit. Talk, perhaps? Definitely.
"I needed some time to think."
::pats him on the head::
No one ever would.
"What is it?" Think. Think without talking to Shisui first. That raised a little warning bell, but he smothered it effectively. There was no point in jumping to conclusions, and he would never assume the worst of his trusted companion.
One hand reached out, resting on the other's arm softly. "Were people talking about your brother and Naruto again?"
/squeezes them both!?!?!?!?!
His eyes drifted up slowly to the hand on his arm, and he reached out without thinking, settling his own hand over his lover's, thumb gently slipping under his palm to try and hold rather than just rest there.
"Shisui." He muttered quietly, finally looking up at him properly, studying the look on his face, struggling not to get lost looking in those eyes. A frown usually helped, but even tonight it was too hard to distract himself. This mess of emotions. The easiest way would be to lie, wouldn't it?
"I..." He had to look away, and not even closing his eyes would rid him of the image of Shisui expression. Concern, worry, fear, rejection, hurt, frustration, anger. "I would like us just to be friends."
Re: /squeezes them both!?!?!?!?!
He almost laughed, as if it was a joke, but Itachi wouldn't be so cruel. Not to him, not to anyone. His eyes flickered to the hand, before finding Itachi's face. This wasn't the look of someone who wanted to do this; this was the look of someone in pain, of someone suffering.
"Why?" Because there had to be a reason. Something he had done. Some way he had hurt him. Something. Or--
"Is someone forcing you?" He reached out and cupped his boyfr--his ex's chin, trying to force him to look over at him. Not in the eye, no, because that was only for good days with Uchiha, but just...look at him. "I have a right to know."

If they couldn't trust one another with that, there would be no hope for them, as friends or otherwise.
"You are the last of your specific line. I am the eldest son to the head of the family." He said, so plainly as if he were stating facts about the trees or the sky or the animals around them. "We are expected to marry women, produce heirs..." It hurt, just to think about the notion, but it had hurt just the same every other time he'd considered it before now.

Love. Where did love fit in any of this?
Itachi looked him in the eye, and Shisui hesitated before meeting his gaze. Hands dropped their hold on the other's face, but he wasn't sure what to think. Marry women. Produce heirs. He wanted children, but there were a ton of orphans here in the village. Why couldn't they adopt?
"So, give away our lives, our happiness because someone else has decreed what we should do with our existence?" he asked. "You make me happy. You love me; I know you do. And you know that I love you in return. Doesn't that matter?"
no subject
He had to look away once Shisui had begun to speak up about his feelings on the matter. Itachi knew, he knew that they were meant to be together. He could feel it in every part of his being, he frequently felt a yearning for Shisui when they'd spent time apart, felt it in every inch of him.
"I could do it." He whispered softly, after only a few moments pause, unable to look Shisui in the eyes. "I could pretend. I would do it." He muttered, unsure what point he was trying to make. Even if he convinced himself that lying, to himself, to Shisui, to the clan, wasn't what was best for everyone involved - he knew that by tomorrow these thoughts would return. Maybe they would plague him every day for the rest of his life.

Itachi couldn't even look at him. He watched him turn away, watched him find something else interesting to look at, which told him that he didn't like seeing Shisui hurt. This helped no one. This served no purpose. This did nothing.
It did nothing, at least, but make them both suffer.
"As shinobi, our lives can end at any moment," he said quietly. "Tonight. Tomorrow. Next week. Who's to say that we would even find a woman and pass down our line in that time? And then what do we have to show for it, but a few miserable months before we die?
"Life is precious, Itachi. It is the greatest gift that we can give to one another, or to our clan or our village. Don't squander it because of what a few people mutter about."
no subject
Why he'd thought it would work on the very man he'd given up his heart to, he didn't know.
Eventually, he lifted his head to be able to look Shisui in the eye, watching him quietly as he listened and tried to take the words to heart.
"I'm tired of the comments." He muttered finally, trying to keep his focus on his... friend? "I'm tired of stolen moments, of glances, of waiting to be together, or keeping secrets, lying."
GRAH! I wrote a big long response and then the page reloaded!
"Then we stop lying."
Words sounded simple when he said them, even though Shisui knew they wouldn't be. Stop lying. Come clean. Fugaku probably wouldn't stand for it, and his own parents would be worried, upset. Would they try to arrange a marriage against their will for "the betterment of the clan"? Would they forbid them to see each other? Would they arrange for a mission with low survival rates just to free the other from the relationship?
But, Shisui didn't care. He would weather all of that for his friend.
"Do you want to tell my parents or yours first?"
GET LAZARUS OMG
He couldn't help but stare at Shisui for a while, hearing those words repeat in his own head as if trying to work out what Shisui meant exactly but his intentions were obvious. To tell their parents of their relationship was to share it with the world. He wanted nothing more than to live out in the open, with Shisui - to kiss and laugh together, love one another openly as if it were the most natural thing in the world because it was.
"... Are you insane?" He muttered finally, frowning as he watched for any hint of indecision in that face. Shisui was all for being honest, he knew that, but they'd talked about this many times before now. This wasn't something that they could do, was it?
"They'll stop us being together at all! We'll never be assigned the same missions, we'll never be able to see one another, let alone get time to... be together." He added, aware that Shisui would pick up on all the things he meant by that.
Meh, my rewrite was better.
So yes, yes, maybe he was insane, but he wasn't stupid. He knew. He knew what he was asking for, knew what he was requesting, knew every danger that his actions were causing him. He knew that as the son of the clan's leader, Itachi was far safer than he ever was when this came out, kotoamatsukami or not. He knew.
"What is it you want, Itachi?" he asked quietly, looking away. "Because my eyes see a lot of things, but they can't see down as deep as you go."
<3 Fair enough.
Shisui seemed to have a way with words though, and they spoke right into the spaces in his mind that had emptied themselves of truth. It was true, he knew - that he didn't see things the same way as Shisui did quite frequently. Shisui would try, constantly to understand him in just the same way Itachi fought to understand the complexities of a friend he wanted to spend the rest of his life with.
What did he want? What should he want? A life of unhappiness for the sake of the clan seemed like a life sentence. He wouldn't stop being Uchiha Itachi, he wouldn't stop being strong willed and certain enough to lead them. He knew that there were benefits to being who he was, to having the bond he shared with the Hokage. He knew he could make a difference, and perhaps he'd feared that with this news out in the open he would be putting the peace he knew he could finally bring to Konoha at risk.
But if he were to die tomorrow what would it have been for? No one would know his devotion to Shisui, no one would know his story, no one would know his love for both the village and the clan. He would have spent his last night alive breaking up with the one thing he knew would follow him no matter which path he decided to tread. The person that had made him who he was, the person he loved even more than his own dear brother, and that-- that should have been enough to warn him of how wrong it would be to not have this.
What did he want? He wanted peace in Konoha, peace within the clan, he wanted a future for Sasuke where he didn't have to plot and plan and presume that the friends he held most dear to him were the same friends who might turn against him. He wanted Shisui, by his side. He wanted Shisui. In his heart, past the complexities of life and living. If he were given another chance, another mother and father in another village with no strings, no ties, no need to fight for hope, no need to fight... he would want Shisui and no one else.
Rather than say anything though, he knelt forward, reaching a hand out to Shisui's face, cupping his cheek and turning him to look his way. Pressing him into a kiss was the most natural thing to him now, after years of being with his soulmate, he knew these moments well enough to fall into it.
