Well, the first thing is to know that the more you try to hide it, the more likely your overly perceptive friend will get curious and start prying.

That’s true. But-

It could be the kind of thing that makes you change your opinion once you know. No offense, but I think that you’d make for a pretty dangerous opponent if that were to happen. And if you don't I’d get you pulled right into the danger as well. I don't want to see any more people die.
