[ With the Vytal Festival Dance coming up, everyone seemed to be pairing off into couples - whether with romantic purpose or just so they didn't have to feel awkward going alone was always a variable, but naturally Jaune had asked his teammates about their plans for the dance. His were open for now (Weiss's latest shutdown having crumbled his eagerness to ask her), and Ren and Nora seemed to be going together as expected (though Nora insisted they were going as friends and not "friends wink wink").

But when he asked Pyrrha, her response had simply been that she didn't know how to dance.

For Jaune this was unacceptable - no one on his team was going to be robbed of a good time by a little thing like inexperience, so Pyrrha will come back to the room one evening to find the beds have all been shoved unceremoniously to the corners of the room, leaving a fairly large open space in the middle where Jaune stands waiting.

As he had been for over an hour.

[It's not the first time Skye's attempted to use other ways aside from hacking as means of collecting information. The doors are pretty much sealed on all fronts as far as her origins now, and she's on a couple of blacklists - by pseudonym and infamy if not by true identity - already so she girds herself for the other options.

Only a few people have covered the news of a whole village in China being obliterated, but only one has based his college disertation on it. He is very much not what she expects a journalist to look like, all shoulders and back and blue steel, and of course yes she's a little bit impressed. But she's also smooth as hell, and she's played the bad girl act a few times already to know how to get under the skin of an office mouse.
