 sleeping with ghosts —
You can't help who you fall in love with. But what if the person you fall for is no longer a person? Perhaps they were, once; those days have gone. All that's left is a memory. Is that something you can put to rest, or will you keep them with you and away from their final resting place?
- Comment with your character and preferences. Mention if you'd prefer to play the living, the dead, or either.
- Reply to others. You can use the RNG or not, if you'd wish. Make up your own additional prompts, scenes, scenarios, and such.
- Dead Lover — No wonder they have unfinished business with you. You were theirs in life, and they're not about to let you go.
- Tethered to You — In life, you didn't know each other, but now their ghost is connected to you, and you to them.
- The Sight — You're the only one who can see them, the only one in the world to them, now.
- Haunted Home — There's something wrong with your house. Can you reclaim it? Do you want to get rid of your companion?
- Peace to the Vengeful — All you wanted to do was do a kind deed and help them achieve peace, not become eternally grateful.
- Remember — Both of you are bound and determined to find out who you were as a living mortal. The knowledge might tear you apart.
- Different Time, Different Place — This ghost is of a person who's a bit...antiquated compared to you. Careful, they may want to court you. It certainly makes things awkward when they see how you dress.
- Jealousy — Lights burst, glass cracks, and the whole place goes cold when someone with a pulse smiles at you.
- Protection — You'll risk your afterlife for the one you love.
- Confession — If you can communicate vocally, confessions are easy. If you can't talk, that's a whole other kettle of fish.
- The Challenge of Intimacy — Ghost makes it look so easy. You want to reach out and touch them, but you can't always do that.
- Manifestation — Your emotions have temporarily given you a physical form.
- Keeping You Here — The living's affection keeps the dead in the mortal coil.
- Decay — The longer they stay with you, the more of a violent wraith, disconnected from their past, they become.
- Passing — You have to let them go, even if they don't want to.
- Just Like Heaven — You'll work together to find a way to bring you back to life.

[ Because that makes it seem like he's a problem to be dealt with, but he just plows right on shurgging off the mix of emotions that had caused. ]
And the hardest part is getting Scott to believe that I'm actually there, after that, he'll be helping to convince everyone.

[She doubted that Deaton would have the answers to any of this. That much is in the way her voice softens.]
It won't be hard to convince Scott to believe me. We just pull the same card we did here.
[She gives John a brief smile]

[Lydia doesn't say anything to those words. But when they get to the door, she does turn and give John a hug along with a warm smile.]
It was good seeing you.
[She just wished that it had been under better circumstances. After they do leave, she looks toward Stiles.]

It'll be things like finding and keeping an abandoned birds nest when we were in third grade, or the time we attempted to tie dye Melissa's scrubs.
[ He pauses. ]

[ But he does remember how long it took Scott to come to terms with being a werewolf, so maybe Lydia's worries aren't unfounded.

There was the time we left a 'Best of Queen' tape in the back of the jeep for a week, and it broke the first time we played it again. It broke.
Finding an exact copy to give back was a pain.

[ It's his best and worst trait when he gets something into his head. ]
There are so many 'Best of Queen' albums. We went to what, every gas station and dollar mart in the area? Even the malls, though they're more likely to have CDs than tapes.
It felt like we went through half of town before we decided to go to the music store, and they ordered it special.
[ Two weeks worth of allowance money spent, right there. ]

[Scott's bound to get onto her because she hasn't let herself grieve too. Though she'll let herself do that once she really has to let Stiles go.]
You think he's at work or at home?
[Even if she's pretty sure she knows the answer to that.]

[Since the way Stiles described it... it didn't sound like it belonged to him or Scott.]

[She turns down another street and starts toward the clinic]

[There's a brief pause as she stares out the window, toward the street she's driving on]

[ It's a fine distinction. Because it's not like the guy wouldn't notice the tape was new. ]
Tape decks are finicky. Everyone was supposed to know that.
[ A sigh. He leans back into the seat. ]

[She doesn't say anything to that because it's understandable. Replace something so they don't get into trouble. Lydia never had to worry about that but only because her mom paid no attention to things.]
We're about ten minutes away. Is there anything we should grab before we meet him?

[She takes a deep breath and when they finally do get to the clinic, she stops short. For a moment she's not sure if she wants to go in or not.
Squaring her shoulders she heads in, waiting for a moment. Letting Scott get done with whatever it was he was doing in that moment.]

[She's half tempted to turn and walk back out. However, Scott notices her so she just gives him a half smile. Even as she gets a confused look in return. After all, when has she ever stepped foot in this place?]

He tilts his head at Lydia, if there were some way he knew of to give Scott a sign... actually, can he even go into the back of the clinic? ]

[She sees the look that Stiles gives her and she cants her head a bit, moving over and opening the gate. It might catch Scott's attention even more but she didn't care.
The look she gives the other simply says 'All you can do is try.']
