FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S MEME

FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S

During the day, it's a place of joy. But you aren't here during the day. Maybe you've desperate for a bit of cash, and ignored the ominous warning on the newspaper ad. Maybe you've eaten at the pizzaria since you were a child, and thought that taking up a job here can't possibly go wrong. Or maybe you're just playing the game under your bed covers at 2am.

Because seriously, who the fuck would work here for more than one day.

This is a meme based of the new horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's. As you would expect, this is a horror meme. Therefore, warnings for blood, gore, mutilation, and if you're really fucking scared of living dolls and the like you might want to think twice before posting here. A playthrough for the brave, and a small snippet for the faint of heart:

You've been hired as the night guard at a pizzaria called 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza', and it seems that the animatronics seem to get a bit... quirky at night. On your first day, a phone recording from the previous guards starts to play, and it explains that you can't let the animatronics see you, or they will force you into an animatronic suit. And with all those wires and cogs in an animatronic suit? Yeah, that isn't going to end well.

Unfortunately, you can't just close the doors and pray to whatever deity you believe in. You've got limited power (you know, budget cuts) to make it through from 12am to 6am. Checking security cameras to see where each animatronic is, turning on the hallway lights outside your guardpost, closing the doors- all of these take up power. Use it all up? Black out, and you're left exposed. Good luck surviving that.

The guy on the phone is good at giving you tips, at least-- but these robots don't just seem to be... robots. They only move when you're not looking, and when you are looking, they have a tendency to look straight at the screen. (People who've seen Bonnie at Cam 5 will know how batshit terrifying this is.) And they seem to be... rather intelligent. Wait, did that one just talk?

There's 4 animatronics- Bonnie the purple bunny, Chica the chicken, Foxy the fox and Freddy the bear. Foxy's special, in the sense that it's got a whole area to itself and if you don't watch it enough, it will run down the fucking hallway. Freddy rarely leaves the stage... but he will if you run out of power. Oops.

You've got to balance limited power, limited view and trust that lady luck is on your side-- just to survive to 6am.

Good luck, sport.

Options:

1. FIRST DAY: You and your new co-worker take the job as night security. Maybe you're childhood friends, maybe you're strangers to each other. But when the phone recording starts playing and you both realize this isn't exactly what you two signed up for, you'd better start working together. Fast.

2. OVERTIME: Maybe you're a sucker for the paranormal or you seriously have a death wish, but you haven't quit the job yet. Quite the contrary, in fact. You're working doubly hard. Except tonight, it seems that they're getting more... lively. Hey, did the rabbit just speak--

3. FUCK THIS SHIT: Hell no are you staying cooped up in the guard room. You're going out of there. Maybe you're gonna investigate the back rooms, maybe you're going to find someplace else to hide, or maybe, if you're actually sane, you're going to try finding a way to escape. Still, is that a the music box theme song you hear nearby? Maybe leaving wasn't the best idea...

4. THEY GOT YOU: Uh oh. Well, they're here. Time to say your last words before you get brutally slaughtered by walking talking animatronics.

5. CHECK PIRATE COVE GODDAMMIT: Hiring more than one guard was a mistake, because in the heat of the moment, you're arguing over what to do. Maybe they want you to close the door, but you've only got 20% left and 3 hours to go. Maybe they want to look at another camera. In any case, try to settle this dispute fast, or something else is going to do it for you.

6. WHY IS IT DARK: Oops, out of power. Quick, play dead!

7. JUST PLAYING THE GAME: You're not actually stuck in a life-or-death situation. You're just playing it on your computer. It's still fucking terrifying, though.

8. YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME: Or make your own prompts!

3 (which is the only SANE reaction, honestly)

[Nope.]

[Chris now knows why that newspaper ad mentioned injury and dismemberment. Or why the management of this place seemed almost disappointed about hiring a former police officer. They have to know this is going on. They have to know about the robots and the strange behavior and what's inside the spare suits in the storage room.]

[Chris slams a fist against the button and turns on the hall light. It's clear outside the security office. Only a few hours left before dawn. But he's not staying any longer than he has to. He turns to Leon, jaw clenched so tight that his molars are grinding together.]

We're getting out of here.
dodgeslazers: (Explaining)

Ain't that the truth

[personal profile] dodgeslazers 2014-08-18 05:58 am (UTC)(link)
Couldn't have said it better myself.

[Leon was hardly afraid of those things but they were put in here specifically to be played with. You either stayed here, terrified of the cameras, or you went out there and presumably got killed. Leon was NOT going to be stuffed into a giant costume.

Besides, between him and Chris, he was pretty confident they could take them.]

They're all in the same spot anyway. Let's move before they decide to play

promisekeeper: (borderline)

And may that @#%^## fox rot in heck.

[personal profile] promisekeeper 2014-08-18 06:14 am (UTC)(link)
Just keep your eyes open. I don't think that other guy...

[The voice over the phone. The way the call ended, with that horrible ear-shattering shriek... it's unlikely that they'll find the other security officer out there. Alive, anyway. It brings back too many bad memories to think about, so Chris does his best to push it out of his head for the moment.]

[Focus on getting out alive. Neither of them will be able to tell the truth if they're reduced to chunks of meat by those- those things. The look he shoots Leon's way is a grateful one.]

Yeah. I don't plan on dying at the hands of a robotic bear. I say we cut through the kitchen, take our chances going that way. They can't take us both out if we stick together.

[There's a noise in the distance. The clanking of heavy metal footsteps. Chris exhales through his teeth.]

Sounds like they're awake.
dodgeslazers: (Serious)

xD Bad experience?

[personal profile] dodgeslazers 2014-08-18 09:00 am (UTC)(link)
[His eyes go back to the camera, quickly going to the room they were usually held. Normally, he'd say it was best to conserve their power but right now, it was best to use it to get out.]

And bored. All are gone. Why didn't that call seem like a good one to put into the police?

[You know, people who could come in with guns and vests and investigate while they weren't out to kill?]

Looks like they're spread out. Right now, the bunny is the only in our way. Two against one, I'll take those odds.
promisekeeper: (closeup)

Horrible experience. *shudder*

[personal profile] promisekeeper 2014-08-18 11:45 pm (UTC)(link)
He probably didn't have a line out. I get the feeling that nobody's supposed to walk out of here alive.

[Like the mansion incident. Chris can't help the feeling of dread that rises in the back of his throat. Out of one death-trap only to fall right into another one. He really does have the worst luck. Plan B: escape. He'll figure out Plan C when it's necessary.]

Yeah. Better than all of them against us. I don't think we'd come out ahead in that one. -And Claire'd kill us both if we died here.

[Chris wrenches the fan from its spot on the desk. It's not the best object to use as a makeshift weapon, but beggars can't be choosers.]

We'd better get moving.
dodgeslazers: (Thinking it over)

T_T My camera mode button at the bottom messed up on night one. That was bad, too

[personal profile] dodgeslazers 2014-08-19 05:53 am (UTC)(link)
I can't figure out why anybody'd keep that hooked in while they're trying to save power, anyway.

[Leon normally always took point but the fact was that he was still good with his legs. If something were to attack while he was holding the device, he could still kick it and it only made sense that the guy with the fan chair went first.

Well, he suppose everything had to happen sometimes.]

Still mostly clear but the fox is heading our way. Let's go.
promisekeeper: (run and gun)

Golden Freddy. First Night. That is all. Yeesh...

[personal profile] promisekeeper 2014-08-19 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. You'd think we'd be used to things not making sense by now. Heh.

[It's a terrible attempt at humor, and it falls flat. But Chris can't really let the bleakness of the situation get to either of them right now. Even as there's the sound of footsteps scurrying down the other hallway, he leads the way out of the security office.]

[It's almost too dark to see. There are no windows to smash open. No fire escapes. The place is a death-trap. For one moment, he half-expects to see a zombie come shambling out of the gloom towards them. But there's nothing. Just the distant creaking of metal joints.]

...Sorry you got dragged into this, Leon.
dodgeslazers: (Hn)

T_T It's a mean game

[personal profile] dodgeslazers 2014-08-19 02:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey, don't go there. There's no reason for you to be sorry. Besides, we're getting out of this. Alive.

[They'd both been through worse. Normally, they did have weapons but they also normally had a lot more than four enemies.

But those metal joints sounded close. For big things, they sure could move fast. Trying to keep an eye out ahead of him, he still brings up the cameras.]

It looks like we have a fan following us though. Let's get out of here before they get close enough to ask for an autograph.
promisekeeper: (family)

It really is.

[personal profile] promisekeeper 2014-08-19 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, we are. Claire would kill us if we died here.

[This is nothing compared to Rockfort Island. His ribs still ache a little from his ill-advised fistfight with Wesker. But he can survive a nightmare like this. They both will.]

[The sound of screeching metal doesn't stop. Indeed, it only seems to be getting louder. Chris swears quietly under his breath for a moment.]

Yeah. This is one fan I could really do without. C'mon. Kitchen's up ahead on the left.
dodgeslazers: (The truth)

[personal profile] dodgeslazers 2014-08-20 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[Leon refused to go through what he'd been through and end up dying at the hands of some robot animals, he absolutely refused to. If he could survive Raccoon City as a rookie cop, if he could handle Spain by himself, he sure as hell could take four of these out with Chris.

He keeps his gaze between the cameras and his surroundings. If they were being chased, that meant they'd come from behind, unless they took doors Leon and Chris didn't know about.]

Can't they be a little more camera shy? Every time I check, they're just looking into the camera.
