FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S

During the day, it's a place of joy. But you aren't here during the day. Maybe you've desperate for a bit of cash, and ignored the ominous warning on the newspaper ad. Maybe you've eaten at the pizzaria since you were a child, and thought that taking up a job here can't possibly go wrong. Or maybe you're just playing the game under your bed covers at 2am.

Because seriously, who the fuck would work here for more than one day.

This is a meme based of the new horror game, Five Nights at Freddy's. As you would expect, this is a horror meme. Therefore, warnings for blood, gore, mutilation, and if you're really fucking scared of living dolls and the like you might want to think twice before posting here. A playthrough for the brave, and a small snippet for the faint of heart:

You've been hired as the night guard at a pizzaria called 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza', and it seems that the animatronics seem to get a bit... quirky at night. On your first day, a phone recording from the previous guards starts to play, and it explains that you can't let the animatronics see you, or they will force you into an animatronic suit. And with all those wires and cogs in an animatronic suit? Yeah, that isn't going to end well.

Unfortunately, you can't just close the doors and pray to whatever deity you believe in. You've got limited power (you know, budget cuts) to make it through from 12am to 6am. Checking security cameras to see where each animatronic is, turning on the hallway lights outside your guardpost, closing the doors- all of these take up power. Use it all up? Black out, and you're left exposed. Good luck surviving that.

The guy on the phone is good at giving you tips, at least-- but these robots don't just seem to be... robots. They only move when you're not looking, and when you are looking, they have a tendency to look straight at the screen. (People who've seen Bonnie at Cam 5 will know how batshit terrifying this is.) And they seem to be... rather intelligent. Wait, did that one just talk?

There's 4 animatronics- Bonnie the purple bunny, Chica the chicken, Foxy the fox and Freddy the bear. Foxy's special, in the sense that it's got a whole area to itself and if you don't watch it enough, it will run down the fucking hallway. Freddy rarely leaves the stage... but he will if you run out of power. Oops.

You've got to balance limited power, limited view and trust that lady luck is on your side-- just to survive to 6am.

Options:

1. FIRST DAY: You and your new co-worker take the job as night security. Maybe you're childhood friends, maybe you're strangers to each other. But when the phone recording starts playing and you both realize this isn't exactly what you two signed up for, you'd better start working together. Fast.

2. OVERTIME: Maybe you're a sucker for the paranormal or you seriously have a death wish, but you haven't quit the job yet. Quite the contrary, in fact. You're working doubly hard. Except tonight, it seems that they're getting more... lively. Hey, did the rabbit just speak--

3. FUCK THIS SHIT: Hell no are you staying cooped up in the guard room. You're going out of there. Maybe you're gonna investigate the back rooms, maybe you're going to find someplace else to hide, or maybe, if you're actually sane, you're going to try finding a way to escape. Still, is that a the music box theme song you hear nearby? Maybe leaving wasn't the best idea...

4. THEY GOT YOU: Uh oh. Well, they're here. Time to say your last words before you get brutally slaughtered by walking talking animatronics.

5. CHECK PIRATE COVE GODDAMMIT: Hiring more than one guard was a mistake, because in the heat of the moment, you're arguing over what to do. Maybe they want you to close the door, but you've only got 20% left and 3 hours to go. Maybe they want to look at another camera. In any case, try to settle this dispute fast, or something else is going to do it for you.

6. WHY IS IT DARK: Oops, out of power. Quick, play dead!

7. JUST PLAYING THE GAME: You're not actually stuck in a life-or-death situation. You're just playing it on your computer. It's still fucking terrifying, though.

8. YOU CAN'T CONTROL ME: Or make your own prompts!

[Honestly, Hiroshi shouldn't have been investigating the rumor in the first place. High turnovers weren't unusual for jobs, especially not for ones that apparently paid as little as this one did. The fact that some people were rumored to have never been SEEN again after taking this job, on the other hand, raised more than than a few eyebrows, especially with Hiroshi's hypersensitive suspicions for such things.

So he'd taken the job. That had been mistake number one. Mistake number two had been seeing his coworker, who very easily looked like the sort who could make people disappear by HIMSELF, and not immediately olly-outing. Then, once the situation had been revealed and it was too late to leave ANYWAY, mistake number three reared its ugly head:

Trying to split his attention between the cameras and the idiot manning the electrical power.

Hiroshi, as a result, was... okay, well he was terrified, but at the same time he was sort of resigned when the last of the power sputtered out, leaving them defenseless. Shit.]

You do realize you have most likely just gotten us both KILLED, right?

[matters are not helped by the fact that the last thing seen in the light, aside from the robots coming to say hello, was the fact that his coworker was smiling even in this situation.

but then again it probably said something about a guy who, despite the low pay and the rumor surrounding the place, was 'a long term employee'. the scars don't help matters either nor did the fact that he always carried a hammer in his back pocket.

Smile giggled a little and leaned over the no longer working controls, jabbing a few buttons.]

Yes...ehehehe. Oops?

[he doesn't sound the least bit sorry about it.]

[Shiiiit he thinks he can hear them coming!]

How the hell can you be so damned happy about this?! Do you have some sort of backup plan or something?!

[Hiroshi always had a feeling this obsessive tendency to follow rumors like this would get him killed, but being attacked by a bunch of possessed animatronics was NOT the way he envisioned it happening!]

Nope!

[but as cheerfully (and probably terrifying on some level) as Smile sounds he still moves towards the opened door to block it and tugs out his hammer. he draws one foot back, intending to kick the first animatronic that comes close enough as hard as he can. which is pretty damn hard, harder than a normal human could.

...well, if this was a constant thing that happened every shift it probably does make sense that Smile isn't exactly a normal person. but hey, they might not die horribly!]

[Hiroshi stares. It's like he's moving through a rehearsed set of steps. Has he done this before? And how many nights has he done it?!]

How much do you know about what happens here on a nightly basis anyway...?

[he's a little distracted since he was trying to watch for them so there's a bit of a delay.]

A little bit. Worked here for awhile. Fun place! Not so nice toys. Nearly took out my eyes once. Did something horrible to my oth--

[Smile's interrupted by a loud noise and he kicks out, hitting something with a nasty crunch. he keeps kicking and smacking it with his hammer until it stops moving. hopefully.]

[it looks like it was Chica the chicken, or what was left of it. Smile stomps on it one last time before poking his head out the door.]

Hands, feet. Could string you up and use you as bait.

[he allows that to stay in the air as he tries to peer into the darkness. he wasn't worried too much about Bonnie but Foxy and Freddy were another matter. Foxy had yet to rush the hall and while Smile had indeed spent quite a bit of time in this job, it have given Freddy enough time to find the holes in the scarred teen's plans.]

...have to hold off until six. Remember what time it was?

[Hiroshi's beginning to get a pretty good idea of why this guy's managed to stick around and the others have disappeared. Ho boy.]

Five thirty or so, I believe. Can you really hold out a half hour?!

[yup. though it was a shame about the last one. nice guy, really great with kids! Smile liked him and he had played with his sister once or twice before their shift started.

...oh well.]

Maybe. Never did it while keeping two people alive. There's a trick but I'm saving it. Watch the door behind you too.

[he says it like it didn't really matter there was a chance something could have jumped Hiroshi from there while they were talking. Smile kicks the remains of the chicken out of the way before a thought occurs to him.]

...did you check the Pirate Cove camera a few times?

R-right, I -- Yes, I did, several times, like they recommended! ...Oh no, we can't watch it at all anymore, can we?

[For lack of anything better, he grabs the fan. That's KIND of a weapon, right?]

[YOU'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE~

probably because it's actually kind of dumb. but the bigger problem is, upon hearing that, Smile's voice becomes kind of strained.]

Nope. Keep an eye out...

[because there's the shuffling of feet...closer...and closer...and closer...

....and on Hiroshi's side...here comes the fox...and in the darkness, that horrible screeching noise isn't pleasant, is it?]

[HIIIIIIII...

Hiroshi lets the fan swing on pure instinct. Oh God, he's gonna die he's gonna die...]

[the fan connects with Foxy with a horrible crunch and it shrieks louder, if that's even possible. but it's stronger than a simple chicken and the hook hand descends down on the boy. luckily enough after an awful delay - Smile was too busy deciding if he should just kick him out the door - he grabbed the back of Hiroshi's shirt and yanked him back, hopefully without injury. that hook hand is very sharp, you know.

Smile kicks Foxy as hard as he can to the ground and begins to stomp on it until it (please for the love of god) stops moving. he's laughing despite the situation.

once he's sure that Foxy is down for the moment, he looks at his co-worker.]

...you okay?

[Time seems to slow for a moment as the hook descends... and then, suddenly, he feels himself yanked back. Not before a nasty gash on his arm, mind, but better than in his head.

The crazy guy had saved him. Which would honestly be more reassuring if the guy wasn't currently cackling gleefully as he stomped on the fox, but regardless.]

I... I suppose, yes. But there's two more of them, is there not?

[Smile continues to stomp on Foxy for awhile longer - he really seemed to dislike this one - before answering Hiroshi's question.]

Yes. Not worried about the rabbit. Bear is more trouble. He learns.

[which is a very troubling statement to make. Smile had an advantage of knowing the other three from having worked here for a long time but that meant it gave Freddy more time to learn about him. and if one thing wasn't very obvious by now, Smile was terrible at keeping his partner alive. not that...he really tried, but still.

on the other hand, however, if Hiroshi stops to think about it this also gives him an advantage. Freddy might know Smile's tricks but since Hiroshi had just started, the bear probably knew nothing about him...]
