After everything they had been through, the feeling of 'tomorrow isn't promised' was pretty strong among the team. Coulson and May seemed to patch things up. Skye had clung to Jemma for most of the day. They had processing to do at the Playground as well. It wasn't until late in the day that Antoine had an opportunity to seek out Simmons. She looked pretty bang up and he nearly decided against knocking on her door. Nearly.

Tomorrow could bring a mission that he might not return from. That was what almost happened to Fitz and Simmons. Trip didn't like the idea of never having told Jemma about his interest in her. He had an inkling that she might have some for him. His feelings had grown from initial attraction to really caring about her. He did for the whole team but...his heart had fallen for her specifically.

Having finally made peace with Fitz before the two had a near death experience put Trip at ease to pursue Simmons, unaware that the man had made his own admission at the bottom of the ocean. The field operative finally knocked at the door with eyes panning each side of the corridor. Sure, there were cameras so he would be seen. He wasn't exactly hiding. He was checking to get a feel that they hopefully wouldn't be interrupted should Jemma answer the door.

[One thing Pansy has going for her that is apparently either rare, surprising, or both, is that she is perfectly capable of playing arm-candy for an evening. Not the kind of vapid "pair of tits and a smile" arm candy that usually comes from having a model on your arm, but the "able to hold a conversation but knows when to shut up and let the other person lead" kind of arm candy. She's had training in being a society wife, after all, and while she and Tony definitely aren't married, the skills she was taught growing up are still applicable here.

Resplendent in a dress of her own design, Pansy has been standing by Tony's side for most of the evening, smiling politely and keeping a drink in one hand, the other either tucked through Tony's arm or help neutrally down at her side, still managing to make it look at once natural but also in a way that doesn't invite stray conversation. She may be comfortable here, but that doesn't mean she wants to make small talk with Muggles. Besides, this is a business thing for Tony, and she understands that. She won't draw attention away from him, not just yet.

After a while, watching Tony schmooze is getting kind of boring, and so she sets her champagne down on a passing waiter's tray and tugs lightly on his hand.]

I'm going to go dance, darling. Will you be my partner, or shall I try my luck elsewhere? [She'd rather not dance with a stranger, but if he's too wrapped up in his business dealings, then she'll make do.]

It's been one beautiful, blessed year since they all came together as lovers. Let the fullness of their emotions for one another be properly expressed. It's been difficult at times, yes, but the good days have more than outshone the bad.

They can't go to the woods where Edgar was raised, this time. They can't spend much more than the day together.

But they'd planned it so the King and Queen were going on a progress through the kingdom and would arrive at Elliot's castle today. It's got such a bounce in Elliot's step as he rushes to meet the entering royals.

Seeming them after some time away is always so wonderful. Seeing them today of all days is even more so.

Killian really doesn't sleep in frequently. When he does, generally heinous amounts of alcohol are involved. He just wakes up with the sun, generally without fail. He burns time until he has to go to work, stumbles through the motions, and goes to Granny's somewhere between eleven and noon for breakfast or lunch, whichever he wants at the time.

The alarm he has on his phone is a last ditch effort, just in case he's sick or out so cold he doesn't get up on his own. It flits at him from somewhere in the flat, probably wherever his pants ended up. He shifts upwards, sore and somehow feeling actually rested at the same time. He doesn't creak like his bones are too old for the rest of him, his eyes aren't heavy and protesting that they're open. Something keeps him from sitting up, though, and it takes a very long moment to make sense of the golden hair spread over his chest.

Hannah. Last night. Christ.

It's not so much that he's ashamed of a rather delightful romp, but he just... hasn't had someone sleep in his bed with him in so long, he can't remember the last time. His tattoo burned like an angry afterthought, and he felt almost guilty for a moment, but he squashes it. Not a big deal, right? They'd had sex, so much in fact, that both had pretty much exhausted every inch of energy they had. He must have fallen asleep before he could subtly hint that he wanted her to leave. Or, more likely, during the heat of the moment he hadn't wanted to.

He touches her hair, gingerly, conflicted on whether he should wake her or not. He didn't exactly like it, but he had to get ready for work. Shower, some hobbled together breakfast, coffee, and then disappear into the barely coherent morning. "Are you awake?" he lands on, and if she doesn't answer maybe he'll just try and slip away quietly.
