how?

01 induction. a comfortable place, a confident touch, and all the right words to take you under. deep breath in, deep breath out, just lie back for the plain flavor, no gimmicks or special powers involved.
02 the prop box. that's not enough? then how about a spinning spiral, or a swinging pocket watch, a coin or a candle, a flickering candle, that's right, just look at the flame, watch the flame closely, watch it dance in front of your eyes and relax, just relax...
03 simply powerful. deep and hypnotic eyes, a strong and commanding voice, their comforting and soothing touch; that person has more than talent - they have the power to bring you completely under their control, and there is no way to resist... at least not forever.
04 magic! a spell to control your body, a potion to command your mind, an artifact to destroy your will. you might have been enchanted, or even cursed. maybe it was an accident, a lesson gone wrong. whatever it was, it's time for a magical trance!
05 science! death rays are so last season, hypno rays are all the rage these days! and did you hear about that new drug that makes you 89% more suggestible to everything you're told? apparently they can even insert a chip into your brain and-- you know, why don't you see the miracle of science for yourself?

why?

01 therapy something you want to remember? something you'd like to forget? quit smoking, eat healthier, be the best you you can be. whatever your reason, whatever your method, your subconsciousness needs a spring cleaning to improve your life.
02 in good fun you're really looking forward to this! it's a show, it's a party, or maybe it's just the two of you trying something new. entertaining, relaxing, maybe even hot and steamy. kick back, and enjoy the experience.
03 part of the job the latest corporate drug, another monster preying on people's minds, the third alien artifact you dug up this week. you've run into this before, and you will run into it again. but maybe this time is different. maybe this time something went wrong...
04 part of a scheme you don't want this, but somebody else begs to differ. maybe it's as harmless as a prank to make you cluck like a chicken whenever they say your name. or maybe it's as bad as a plot to make you their obedient servant forever. only they know, but for better or worse, you're about to find out.
05 an accident a vacant stare into that magical mirror, blank faces after a gas leak, sparks flying in the wrong direction and suddenly you find yourself chanting 'yes, master' over and over again? looks like somebody was too careless. sure, nobody meant for this to happen, but it did, and now you have to deal with the side-effects.

what?

01 relaxation. all you want is to unwind, switch off, forget about your stress and worries for a while. close your eyes, you'll wake up feeling so refreshed. that is, unless somebody goes a little overboard with that happy and vacant smile...
02 transformation. bark like a dog. moo like a cow. put on this apron, you are the maid now. you're a robot, you're just a doll, you are the president of the world, an adorable baby, the perfect boyfriend- you are something or somebody you weren't before.
03 personality change. people don't change? we'll see about that! there must be some way to make you more assertive, less anxious, more honest, less unruly. maybe something could even change your evil ways! or your good ones, for that matter...
04 submission. this one is all about following commands. any commands. any commands. but do they just want to see you dance to their tune once, or will they wash, scrub and bleach your brain until it comes out blank and obedient forever?
05 seduction. maybe it's something sneaky to charm somebody you just met, maybe it's something sexy to spice up your relationship. whatever it is, whatever you do, it's trance time in the bedroom. and it would feel so amazing to take off your clothes for me, wouldn't it?

"Oh? Well, congratulations! That should help out a little bit with your rent." Mira slid over Lucy's usual to her in a clean glass while listening intently to her story. "Acid trolls are tricky like that, so it takes a little more than just using straight up fire-based attacks. I'm sure you helped contribute to their defeat too, right?"

Knowing of Lucy's skills as a Celestial wizard, Mira was positive she had helped out anyway possible, even if it was just in small doses. Which also made her the right one to test out her new toy! (She didn't wanna call it a device since that made it seem like work, and she wanted it to be fun.)

"Probably to the same amount a bandaid helps a broken arm," she grumbled, but it was goodnatured grumbling, and she flashed Mira a bright smile when her favorite drink came sliding into her waiting hand. "I did my part," she replied modestly, a proud little smile on her face. "Scorpio and Virgo helped neutralize the acid, which gave the others an opening to finish them off before they could regenerate."

"Yep, you did your part!" Mira beamed in approval as she finished cleaning the other remaining glasses before walking back over to sit next to the other girl. "And...I could really use your help on something I discovered a while ago, sometime after you guys left on your job. It's nothing too dangerous and it can be used with our magic, so it should all be in good fun!"

With a quick burst of magic, Mira stood before Lucy in her Satan Soul: Sitri form and she picked up a small plumb of fire from her feet that started dancing in front of the other girl much like a pendulum on a clock.

"I guess I did," Lucy replied back, her posture instantly becoming more energetic and positive as she received the approval not just of a friend, but one who she greatly admired. Even before joining Fairy Tail she'd looked up to Mirajane, and being told by her she did a good job filled her with a warm glow.

"Of course, I'm happy to help." Still buttered up, Lucy didn't even hesitate at being asked basically being asked to be a guinea pig, trusting Mira's word completely. She was a little startled, however, when the beautiful woman behind the bar suddenly assumed one of her most powerful and imposing forms. Before she could ask anything, however, Mira directed her attention down to the swinging orb of fire, one that immediately captivated her attention.

"What…what is it?"

"It's a magical orb that emits soothing, captivating music when played with just a bit of magic." What Mira deemed to not inform Lucy about however, was that the music was more like a hypnotic tone that worked on the first person who focused solely on the bouncing orb as it swung back and forth.

"Can you hear it, Lucy? How wonderful it sounds...just focus on the orb, listen to the music...hearing only my voice..."

"Oh," Lucy managed as that lovely sound began to play, the soothing tones relaxing her as her mind felt slow all of a sudden. Posture slumping, the curiosity in her expression faded into dull fascination with the warm light swinging before her vision, back and forth, back and forth. Eyes beginning to glaze, she couldn't help but be drawn into the soothing aura of the sphere, her cares and concerns melting along with her will as her world became back and forth, back and forth.

"I…I can," she murmured, Mira's voice like a warm blanket on her mind. "It's…beautiful…"

"Yes it is...not as beautiful as you are..." Mira cooed softly, caressing Lucy's face while the sphere went back and forth, again and again for Lucy to follow and it even maintained itself as Mirajane returned to normal before leaving the bar and sitting next to Lucy for a moment. She stared intently at the glazed expression in her eyes, nodding in approval while motioning for the blonde to follow her out the guild as the sphere bounced in the same direction but always in range for her to hear.

"Follow the bouncing ball, Lucy...we're gonna have some special fun together, just you and me...we can stop by your place if you don't mind! I'm sure no one else is around..."

"I...I...see..." Lucy mumbled, though in truth she barely registered Mirajane's words, her mind utterly transfixed by the swinging orb before her, thought being drained from her as her world narrowed to that lovely swinging light. Her body reacted instinctively to those soft caresses, leaning in mindlessly like a sleeping kitten, her eyes hooded and distant.

Not even registering what she was doing, the blonde stood up as commanded, following the swinging light from the guildhall with a mechanical step, her body moving entirely out of her control now to keep her in sight of that wondrous orb.

"Yes...follow the orb," she cooed, answering all of Mira's requests with a thoughtless and automatic immediacy. "My place. I don't mind. No one is there."

As they approached Lucy's place, Mirajane had always heard around Magnolia that Lucy seemed to do 'dangerous' things while on her way back home, so the swinging orb happened to take that same route the blonde always procured.

"Ohh, see the ball Lucy? It's acting just like you do on your way home...don't lose it! Keep your balance, and make sure you don't fall." she cooed into Lucy's ear while watching her with an eager look in her eyes.

When they finally did make it, Mirajane allowed Lucy to lead the way with the orb going right toward her bedroom and continuing to swing as it approached the blonde's bedside.
