Even a short absence was felt (as relief if some were to be believed but still felt) and from what he'd managed to learn from the hospital staff it would be weeks before Ms Agnes was fit enough to return to work. And it was all Keith's fault. The other heroes might have said it wasn't, that he couldn't have anticipated the attack, but that hadn't stopped the feelings of guilt. Someone had gotten hurt because he hadn't been able to protect them. It didn't matter that Ms Agnes would make a full recovery, she wouldn't have gotten hurt if he'd done his job properly.
Now she was going to be stuck at home recovering for who knew how long and- And she was right there in front of him, struggling along on crutches all alone.]
