It happens to everyone - sometimes, you have nights where you just can't fall asleep, no matter what you do. It could be for a number of reasons, or no reason at all. And this is what's happened now: you've been laying in bed for what feels like hours, just tossing and turning, and nothing seems to help. So what's left to do? Get out of bed and go wake someone else up, of course. If you're not getting any sleep, then why should they?

o p t i o n s 01 • FEAR. Maybe you're hearing strange, indeterminable noises; maybe there's a severe storm happening outside; maybe you watched a scary movie before bed? Whatever the reason, you're terrified and it's keeping you awake. You just want to wake someone else up so they can protect you from the monster in your closet. 02 • HUNGER. Your stomach is growling and it just won't stop. Or perhaps your throat is so dry you could cough up a tumbleweed? Well, you've gone to the kitchen to remedy this and hey, that was a pan that just dropped on the floor. It was loud enough to wake the dead! Oops. 03 • PAIN. Your body is completely worn out, be it from exercise, battle, sickness, or what have you. Either way you're in enough pain to keep you from sleeping, so maybe someone else has a home remedy or something, or can at least help you take your mind off of it. 04 • SOLITUDE. For some reason, your bed just feels so empty at the moment. You're feeling terribly lonely and really just want someone to keep you company for a while. Maybe it'd be easier to fall asleep if you're with them... 05 • DISCOMFORT. Your room is an oven. Either that or a freezer. Or maybe this bed is just really uncomfortable? Who knows why you can't get to sleep, it feels like it could be anything. Why even bother trying? Maybe someone else can preoccupy you until you feel tired enough to ignore your discomfort. 06 • PENSIVE. Something's on your mind, and no matter how hard you try to focus elsewhere, it's just not going to work. Your body may be tired, but your mind is incredibly busy and it's virtually impossible to get to sleep. Surely, talking it out with someone else will help? 07 • SADNESS. Something terrible has happened that day, perhaps; or you could just be severely depressed. Either way you're trying your hardest not to cry yourself to sleep, and it's not working at all. Better find a way to get it out of your system somehow; you need a shoulder to cry on. 08 • ANGER. You are just... fuming. Who knows why - that annoying dog is barking again, or maybe the people next door are getting busy and keeping you awake. Whatever the reason for your ire is, you'd better put an end to it so you can get some damn rest already! Go wake up a friend so you can complain to them. 09 • RESTLESS. You're far too energetic to sleep right now. Maybe you're just trying to do so out of necessity - you have to be up early tomorrow! But you just don't think you'll be able to fall asleep for a while now, so why waste the time trying to sleep when you could be doing something else? Namely bothering someone else - you're totally jealous because they're getting more sleep than you. 10 • WILDCARD. Choose one of the options above, or make up your own scenario. |

"You must be tired, sweet sister. Coming all the way from King's Landing is no easy task." Robb did want to monopolize all her time here, knowing she'd probably like a bath and rest. Although, selfishly, he'd like her to stay after learning of the news of their father. His grip around her had not eased yet.

"I should have killed that mewling little git when I had the chance. Stuck him with that precious little sword of his rather than throwing it in the river." She'd have been punished for it obviously, but at the same time, would things be different? Would they be better? Would Father still be alive?
It was hard to say.

"They would've lynched you if you managed to." But Robb didn't even think of the consequences for him if he was successful of the boy king's assassination. He hadn't thought that far in advance, but it didn't really matter to him, as long as the Stark family was safe back in Winterfell.

"Tywin as well. I should have shoved His Lordship down the stairs or out the window." She curled her fingers more securely in Robb's shirt, fighting back the urge to cry by battering it back with anger, hot and raw. "No one would have seen me do that. And then you wouldn't have to fight their army with him at the head of it."

What have they done to you, Arya? And of Sansa? He thought to himself. If Arya was in this sort of state, he hated to see how Sansa was, given they both secretly knew she was the softer of the sisters.
"That day will come. This I swear to the gods." Perhaps he shouldn't be making false promises, but knowing it was his duty to avenge his father, he felt confident enough to know what his next role would be.

"No one would have known it was me. Tywin didn't even know I was in Harrenhal serving his wine, he wouldn't know it was me that gave his name."

And his hatred of the Lannisters ran deep.
"And if you carried through with this plan, by yourself, you'd be killed on the spot."

"I didn't get caught for the others that I did name, no one knew they were even assassinations." A soft irritated huff at the idea, brows furrowing. "I had a Faceless Man waiting to kill for me and I wasted it before I realized what I'd had at my disposal."

She had changed, perhaps for the better, making her stronger and more independent, which were excellent traits to have, but the words coming out of her mouth were unrecognizable to him. He never heard her speak like this and is devastated to learn her innocence was lost. The world is cruel and dark, something he had learned far too quickly for his own young age and perhaps why he tended to be more stoic and serious, but this? Not his Arya.
Jon wouldn't recognize her either, Robb thought to himself, feeling even worse he wasn't there for her.

"I didn't... think he was serious. So I named two that didn't even matter. A rapist, and the man in charge of the cleaning girls who liked to hit us. They... it looked like accidents. No one knew. I could have asked him to do that to anyone. To Tywin, to Joffery... but I didn't, and you still are stuck dealing with them because of it."
Innocence dealt a mortal blow when she'd slain the stable boy in her escape, killed completely with the swing of Ice and the end of Ned Stark's life.

Scrubbing his face, he wasn't sure how to feel about this. His sister's innocence was lost, perhaps Sansa's too and that made him regret even moreso for not being there. Arya was stronger than Sansa, always had been, even if he didn't want to ever admit it, but if this is what she had changed to, what of Sansa?
"In the morning, I'm calling the bannermen as we'll march down there and end this nonsense."
