The Captivity Meme

You've been captured -- or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.
Both smut and non-smut scenarios are possible. If you don't want to play smut, please indicate so in the title line of your tag.
1. Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.
2. Someone else tags in and uses RNG to generate a number between 1 and 9. The second character is holding the first character captive now.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Scenarios
1. For their own good. Does this person really think they could make it on their own? It's a big, scary world out there, and you need to protect them from it, whether they like it or not.
2. For the good of society. Forget protecting this person -- it's your duty to protect the world from them! Maybe they committed a terrible crime, or maybe they were falsely condemned, but it's your job to keep them locked up where they can't do any more harm.
3. Because they're not well. How's your bedside manner? Whether you're Florence Nightingale or Mildred Ratched, you're in the position of ministering to the mentally ill. Maybe this person genuinely needs your help, or maybe you're just turning a blind eye to their true sanity.
4. For the money. Higher aims? What higher aims? This person is your meal ticket, and they're staying put until their loved ones pay up.
5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.
6. Because they're cute and fluffy. Who's a cutesy wutesy? They are! Yes, they are! This person is your pet now. Maybe they're a different species from you, or maybe you just don't care that you're both people. Maybe you're even an alien zookeeper looking after a new acquisition.
7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're our property, and you decide their fate.
8. For the lulz. Hey, what's a little bondage between friends? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.
9. Choose a scenario, or combine several.

Flynn knew that it was impossible for him to watch Orihime at all times, so of course he worried when she went for a stroll beyond the castle walls when he was too busy to accompany her. Still, he didn't want to smother her. She was a grown woman who could make her own decisions, and he wanted to make sure she had her independence.
Unfortunately, sometimes the world chose to justify Flynn's paranoia. At least that was the message he chose to take from the ransom letter he had received. A pretty girl wandering on her own was a tempting prize for any bandit or brigand. But one who was publicly involved with the commandant of the Imperial Knights? That was a meal ticket. Or atleast that was what the group who had kidnapped Orihime and left a ransom letter addressed to Flynn in her place thought.
Flynn was a reasonable and peaceful man. He was resistant to violence and perfectly willing to negotiate. That is unless you felt it was an intelligent decision to harm the woman he loved. Then the world simply wasn't a big enough place for you to hide from his wrath.
So he went to the bandit's compound, as far as they knew to make the exchange of gold for Orihime. Of course, once they were stupid enough to let him inside, their fate was sealed. Oh he didn't kill them, but the pounding headaches they would all have once they awoke the next morning behind bars may cause them to wish he had.
After dispatching all of the hopelessly outmatched lowlives, Flynn proceeded to the room where he had been told his beloved was being kept bound and secure.
"Orihime!" He cried out as he rushed towards her, placing his hands on her shoulders and quickly pulling the gag out of her mouth. Once that was done he shed his gauntlets quickly so he could cup her face between his hands. "Are you alright?"

But when he called her name, her eyes widened in surprise and hope. Flynn...! He'd found her! Suddenly her heart began to pound, and she sat up straighter than she had in a long time. Flynn! It was really Flynn!
She took a deep breath of fresh air, relieved to have the dirty strip of cloth torn away at long last. The touch of his warm hands was so welcome and comforting that she closed her eyes for a moment, unable to help savoring the familiar sensation.
"I'm okay," she smiled, her voice hoarse from lack of use. She wasn't the type to scream in a bad situation; when captive, she'd been silent, almost downright sullen. She leaned into the cup of his palm, wishing she could throw her arms around his neck and kiss him with all of her strength. "I'm okay. You're here now. I'm so grateful!"
Sorry for the delay!
"I'm so happy," he said with a smile as he pressed his forehead against hers. "I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that I allowed something like this to happen to you."
That's okay!
Flynn hadn't failed her, though. Orihime closed her eyes and smiled, just drinking in the warmth of his presence. "That's a terrible choice of words," she chided gently. "You didn't allow anything to happen to me. You warned me to be careful. I just wasn't careful enough." If she hadn't been singing, she might have heard the soft steps of the men sneaking up behind her when she was kidnapped.
"Thank you." She stole a soft kiss just at the corner of his mouth. "Thank you for saving me."

which Flynn partially agreed with, though he wouldn't tell her that right now, it took a lot more than that to shake Flynn's legendary guilty conscience. Still, she did serve to cheer him up enough to remind him that he needed to get her out of here. He may have subdued the kidnappers for the squad of knights he had outrun to get here in time, but there were no guarantees that this was a safe place. They had to move.Pulling out a dagger, Flynn cut the bonds that lashed his love to the pole, freeing her. Taking the time to give her a real hug, he took her by the hand before leading her out of the hideout.
"Come on," he urged. "We need to get back to patrolled territory as quickly as possible. Then we can celebrate."
And they would. Flynn would make sure of it, though he doubted Orihime would care much for his initial plan, he was sure she would warm to it.

Her first couple of steps were unsteady; it had been a few days since she'd been able to walk or even use her legs. But once they got moving, she was able to keep pace.
It still made her angry that men like these would rob her of the ability to take a walk in peace. She knew she'd never be able to do that again, not as long as she was close to Flynn. And she counted on being close to him for the rest of her life. But someday, maybe, they'd be granted a city that was safe to live in.
"Do you want me to bake you something when we get back?" she offered. That was what he meant by a celebration, right? Or did he mean something a little more...involved?

"If you think you're doing anything," Flynn laughed at her offer. "Except lay in a bed while I show you just how much I missed you after the ordeal you've just been through, then you're sorely mistaken. I'm afraid you're going to be spoiled for over a week straight."
no subject
Then she blinked, and realized that it was entirely possible that he meant to show how much he missed her in a completely different fashion. A blush bloomed hotly in her cheeks as her grin got a little stupid.
"...Oh...you meant something else...?" She turned her head to look at him. A week straight together would actually be really nice. Orihime couldn't possibly object to that!

They had gone far enough, Flynn had though. He was able to recognize the surrounding areas as being close to the city and he could hear the sounds of patrols marching through the surrounding woods. They were safe enough her for Flynn to spring the next step of his surprise for Orihime.
"Orihime," Flynn said softly but firmly as he stopped moving, removing himself from her though keeping his hands on his shoulders to keep her steady just in case. He moved in front of her to look her in the eye. "I don't want you to feel for one second that you were responsible for what happened there. You were a victim, nothing more and I don't want to see you feel any kind of guilt over what those men did.
"That being said," Flynn said with a more serious expression. "I would be remiss if I did not remind you on how I've warned you about venturing so far away from the castle without an escort, or at least with some form of protection."
no subject
Her heart sank as did her gaze as he reminded her of his warning. She gave a single, heavy-hearted nod, and a quiet sound of acquiescence. "I know. You're right," she replied quietly before closing her eyes. "I should have paid more attention. I'm very sorry, Flynn." It had been terrifying. She'd run so desperately, but they harried her, appearing with leering faces no matter which way she turned until she was surrounded and captured. It wasn't something she ever wanted to experience again.
"I won't even leave the town anymore," she promised. "I don't want to put you in that kind of situation again."
no subject
"Orihime," Flynn said coldly, looking her right in the eye. "I didn't want to have to do this to you, but it's clear you're not giving me any choice..." With those words said, Flynn took a step closer to Orihime, his face reluctant but determined. Finally, he raised his hand, and...
... began gently running it through her hair in the way he knew she always liked. Honestly, Flynn hated using this to win arguments with her. It felt like he was cheating. Still, he did enjoy the calming, nearly hypnotic effect it had on her.
"Don't be silly," Flynn chided gently with a loving, chastising smile. "Of course you can still leave town. That isn't even close to what I meant. If that area wasn't safe for you, then it isn't safe for anyone, which means we need to expand our patrols in that area. But just to be safe, I'd like to teach you how to use a sword to defend yourself, just in case this happens again. Alright?"
no subject
Besides, this wasn't an argument Orihime wanted to win. She just didn't want to cause trouble for Flynn and his men, didn't want to give him any reason to think of her as a burden to him.
When he finished speaking, she reached out to put her arms around his neck, hugging him warmly. "I'd love that," she said with a faint nod. "I've always wanted to learn! I'd really love that."
no subject
"Then your training will begin tomorrow," Flynn nodded in agreement. "Just know that I don't plan on going easy on you just because you're the woman I love.
"But before we get to any of that," Flynn smiled, hoping to convey that what he said next came from a sense of playfulness rather than anger. "I don't plan on lecturing or scolding you any further. You've clearly done enough of that yourself. But I would be remiss if I didn't do anything to ensure something like this does not happen again."
Making sure there was no confusing his intent, Flynn withdrew a length of rope from his belt. "Would you be so kind as to place your hands together in front of you. You'll be walking the rest of the short distance to my quarters as my prisoner, where I will then ensure, you don't leave bed for the rest of the day. I assure you, you'll find this captivity much more comfortable than the last."
This was not the first time Flynn had played 'punishment' with Orihime, which was why he was hoping she would not outright slap him for suggesting she play prisoner so soon after being freed.

Oh! Ohhhhhhhh.
She smiled foolishly down at her feet. She hadn't been beaten or mistreated in any traumatizing ways when she'd been held captive, so his request didn't serve to trigger any negative reactions. Besides, she'd missed Flynn dearly. The thought of making love to him for the rest of the day, and lying in his warm arms, was all she needed to make things right again.
"I'd like that," she admitted, and glanced up at him from beneath her lashes before she offered her wrists to him.
no subject
"Your compliance does you credit," Flynn said with a smile as he lashed her wrists together lightly. He had quite a bit in store for her. He left a length of rope tethered to her wrists to serve as a makeshift leash so he could tug her along. "Continue to obey and you'll find this more of a reward than a punishment."
no subject
As he pulled her along after him, she bowed her head to indicate submission, but she couldn't keep herself from smiling. She remained close behind him, her bound hands rising to steal an affectionate stroke over the side of his arm. It was only for a moment, but enough to convey to him how grateful she was to have him in her life.
