THE CAPTIVITY MEME

You've been captured -- or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.

Both smut and non-smut scenarios are possible. If you don't want to play smut, please indicate so in the title line of your tag.

1. Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.

2. Someone else tags in and uses RNG to generate a number between 1 and 9. The second character is holding the first character captive now.

Scenarios

1. For their own good. Does this person really think they could make it on their own? It's a big, scary world out there, and you need to protect them from it, whether they like it or not.

2. For the good of society. Forget protecting this person -- it's your duty to protect the world from them! Maybe they committed a terrible crime, or maybe they were falsely condemned, but it's your job to keep them locked up where they can't do any more harm.

3. Because they're not well. How's your bedside manner? Whether you're Florence Nightingale or Mildred Ratched, you're in the position of ministering to the mentally ill. Maybe this person genuinely needs your help, or maybe you're just turning a blind eye to their true sanity.

4. For the money. Higher aims? What higher aims? This person is your meal ticket, and they're staying put until their loved ones pay up.

5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.

6. Because they're cute and fluffy. Who's a cutesy wutesy? They are! Yes, they are! This person is your pet now. Maybe they're a different species from you, or maybe you just don't care that you're both people. Maybe you're even an alien zookeeper looking after a new acquisition.

7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're our property, and you decide their fate.

8. For the lulz. Hey, what's a little bondage between friends? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.

[What Castiel sees is no surprise, because he's had plenty of experience wit his new powers before now. He expects Lucifer to struggle against it, but in the end, he has no choice but to give in. Not even one of the most powerful archangels in creation can oppose him now.

Still, he derives no pleasure to hear his older brother's cry of pain, or to see him squirm on the ground. Castiel would prefer obedience rather than torture- this is simply a necessary evil to accomplish a larger good.

It isn't enough, as he expected. Lucifer is going to be a tough one to crack, and maybe it would be best to find a place to keep him for now before bringing him to Heaven. If Cas brings him back screaming defiant like this, it won't look any good.]

[He responds with certainty, before grabbing one of Lucifer's arms and teleporting them to an abandoned warehouse. Changing reality is possible for him now, which makes it simple enough to turn the warehouse into a farmhouse, unassuming enough even if he didn't plan to make it invisible to outsiders.]

I'll keep you here for now. I can't spend all of my time with you.

[His legs are already on the mend before Castiel reaches down to take his arm and teleport him somewhere else. He finishes healing as quickly as he can, which is a little more on the sluggish side than he'd like it to be. Being ripped from the cage took a bit out of him, plus the shape he'd been in from his tussle with Michael. It's a wonder he can even manage to push himself to his feet right now.]

You can't just leave me here.

[It's more a stubborn statement than anything, cause he knows with the right sigils Cas can do just that. His eyes sweep over his new surroundings with a frown.]

So, what, you plan to keep me caged like some pet?

[The talking is a distraction, he's trying to gather up his tattered grace and power to retaliate. It's frustrating that he could be so weak from all of this, but given more time and he'll be strong again. He'll be more of a thorn in Castiel's side when he wasn't still raw from being pulled out of Hell.]

I can do whatever I like.

[He is God now, and God does not have limits. He sees that Lucifer is healing, and suspects there will be more injuries to come. So long as he is talking back in such a way, he will have to be disciplined. This is a project he cannot fail on... either he has Lucifer the way he wants, or he sends him back into his cage.]

I need you to understand your place. This has nothing to do with keeping "pets."

[Castiel grabs the archangel's arm again and teleports him inside. For now he doesn't need sigils, but when he wants them, he'll make them appear.]

Do you understand?

[There's a sharp snarl as his arm is taken once more and he's teleported inside the building. He notes the lack of much keeping him rooted and even attempts to escape. Still nothing. Cas can at least back up his claim enough to keep even Lucifer from breaking free.]

My place? [That's laughable.]

I think whatever has given you the juice has gotten to your head, I think you need to remember your place. You were nothing but a low-rank soldier before you fell. Or have you really forgotten who you really are?

[A dangerous edge makes it's way into his voice. When Castiel took on the task of trying to tame Lucifer, he'd better have prepared for a long and tedious fight for it.]

Mark my word Castiel, I'll find a way to rip you apart.
