The Captivity Meme

You've been captured -- or maybe you've been held captive for a while now. Whatever the case, you've lost your freedom, and there's a specific person responsible for that. You might be a prisoner, a mental patient, a kidnap victim, or someone's pet. Maybe you're there willingly, or maybe the choice has been taken away from you completely.
Both smut and non-smut scenarios are possible. If you don't want to play smut, please indicate so in the title line of your tag.
1. Leave a tag with your character. Be sure to include any limits on what you are willing to play, as this meme has the potential to be triggering.
2. Someone else tags in and uses RNG to generate a number between 1 and 9. The second character is holding the first character captive now.
3. ???
4. Profit!
Scenarios
1. For their own good. Does this person really think they could make it on their own? It's a big, scary world out there, and you need to protect them from it, whether they like it or not.
2. For the good of society. Forget protecting this person -- it's your duty to protect the world from them! Maybe they committed a terrible crime, or maybe they were falsely condemned, but it's your job to keep them locked up where they can't do any more harm.
3. Because they're not well. How's your bedside manner? Whether you're Florence Nightingale or Mildred Ratched, you're in the position of ministering to the mentally ill. Maybe this person genuinely needs your help, or maybe you're just turning a blind eye to their true sanity.
4. For the money. Higher aims? What higher aims? This person is your meal ticket, and they're staying put until their loved ones pay up.
5. For their love. It might be a case of yandere, or it might be a consenting BDSM relationship. Whether it's by mutual agreement or by force, you're keeping them simply because you love them.
6. Because they're cute and fluffy. Who's a cutesy wutesy? They are! Yes, they are! This person is your pet now. Maybe they're a different species from you, or maybe you just don't care that you're both people. Maybe you're even an alien zookeeper looking after a new acquisition.
7. Because they're your property. Slave? Livestock? Who cares what they think - they're our property, and you decide their fate.
8. For the lulz. Hey, what's a little bondage between friends? You'll let them go, once you're done laughing and snapping photos... maybe.
9. Choose a scenario, or combine several.
Taken from here.

He could, of course, have restrained Convoy some other way after getting the drop on him, but while pondering the situation while Convoy was unconscious, he decided to simply drop down.
It was a very good seat, after all.]
Your new affiliations haven't made you any more talkative, I see. At least some things remain the same. [Humming, nearly sing-song, Ramjet shifts in his seat... but doesn't get up.]
no subject
Ramjet, unfortunately, is in fact one of them.
Nemesis Prime snarls his engine again for good measure, trying to key up his transformation once more. but aside from the weight keeping at least parts of him in place, there seems to be something catching on the gears- and, of course, his first thoughts are the obvious;]
What did you do‽
no subject
A favour.
[Completely misconstruing the question, obviously. It's also accompanied with a grin that's visible, caring little for the supposed look of the frame Ramjet has and simply melting into view anyway.
There's even an unstable little ripple that briefly negates any weight Ramjet has, up to now, been applying on top of Nemesis, tentacles slithering out - and then disintegrating as Ramjet... settles.
In several meanings of the word.]
A simple favour, a small thing really. Such things can topple mountains.
[Too much amusement and something that could be fascination.]
no subject
he can hear just fine, though. don't mind that quick little start he tries when the weight shifts, but he's not able to move nearly enough before the herald once again is pinning him down.
the huff from his vents is almost /sullen/.]
For whom.
[Unicron doesn't ask for favors; he takes, or his Heralds simply do. which means Ramjet is acting on another's behalf?]
And to what purpose.
no subject
Does it matter, Prime? The result will be easily seen anyway, a hole in the light you're striving for.
[That's just pure mocking, and Ramjet himself seems to twist with it - though not losing any substance this time. In fact, there's a briefly biting snap of annihilation before it draws back.]
The purpose, well... Which purpose do you want to hear?
[Ramjet's leaning back, not resting his hands on Nemesis and as such still minimising the exposure, helm tilted back as he watches the smoke from the fire wind itself towards the sky.
It's, despite the mocking just before, a geniune question.]
no subject
you bring out the best in him, don't you. scorching paint and all.]
Yours.
[he doesn't care what the others want, only why Ramjet is assisting. other than, well, to bother him. it wouldn't be the first time the Herald's given him a 'visit', ever since he discovered his new position, but it would be the first time it's happened while he's stuck in vehicle mode.
gorram it he's not gonna have to get a Protector to help him fix that, is he?]
no subject
There's no retaliation. Not even a not-so-playful slap.]
Mine. [It hisses out on static Ramjet can't really produce any longer, and so it sounds somewhat odd.]
Taking the time to bask in the lingering shadows of your effectivity. None, since, have been the same and when the light goes out, there won't be again.
And enjoying your company and a nice seat means the effectiveness you're lending others, now, is hampered, Prime.
[Another grin, and the nearly contemplative tone from earlier is gone.]
no subject
right, then.
he's still and silent for a few moments...and finally emits a low snort.]
I am more than capable to make up for lost time.
no subject
He knew how and when to redirect Ramjet's attention, if nothing else.]
Ah, but I cannot play around at business if it's all pleasure, Prime. He doesn't see all, but I have never liked to be idle. The only end that would come of that is the sweetest, most natural one.
The unending nothing will not come from that, only new beginnings.
[And he'd rather not draw Unicron's attention for doing things he shouldn't... he's dared a few other times, flights of fancy he can only just remember that they once might have meant something.]
So instead the light shall suffer for your absence.
no subject
then again, actions speak louder than words.
this time, he doesn't buck forwards. this is full-out reverse, trying to at least dislodge Ramjet a shred so he can use that lapse to free himself.
better hang on, jet. weight or not, he's fully intending on giving you a ride for your proverbial money]
no subject
Partway, at least. As he falls off Ramjet immediately reaches out, grabbing onto Nemesis' boot because nope you're not going anywhere.]
Don't test me, Prime. All that delightful power or not, you're at the moment a little... tied up.
no subject
suffice it to say he spent countless ages imprisoned after the fiasco with the Dead Matrix, watching and waiting for the perfect opportunity to act.
it hasn't been ages here, but that patience and will to push through hasn't in the least bit suffered for the healing of his mind.
so if he can't go any further back due to the grip- he'll certainly try and go forwards in an attempt to, well.
ram the jet.
VRRMMMM VRRMMMMM]
no subject
The grunt when Nemesis rams into him is as much a sigh as it's a grunt, and then he grabs Nemesis again and flips around.
And is far heavier than before, fingers trailing along Nemesis' side, sometimes dangerously close to the wheels.]
Patience, Prime. [The murmur is a rumble that kills atoms, the vibrations of the sound against shiny black metal.] Why don't you counter-offer?
[He's not unreasonable, after all~]
no subject
vrrt, vrmm vrmmmm- rmmm. snarl!]
Release me or I will break you apart and scatter your pieces across the dimensions!
[and that, if nothing else, could take time to reconstitute.
possibly.
maybe.]
no subject
You could always try, Prime. But I don't believe even the Alternity has access to the powers needed to bend me apart long enough to scatter the pieces. Because pieces are all that's left, held together...
[It would take time to reconstitute that, yes, but actually getting to that point would be hard.]
You'll have to do better than that. [Accompanied by another slide of hands along seams, in a... conversation way, almost.]
no subject
I would find a way.
[promise, on the other hand, now that is different. still, that sort of thing won't get him out of here. his engine growls - once more with that sullen tone, an exasperated frustration - as Ramjet's hands wander, but he's no fool.
other than Unicron, it seems there's only one thing that motivates Ramjet as of late.]
Is entertainment what you seek, then?
[it's a sneer, but not at the subject matter. he's just in a bad mood okay, you big jerk.]
no subject
[What he seeks is to uphold the balance for as long as possible - both ends of the scale, or neither (neither, in a swirling madness of nothing) of them. What he seeks is his master's will, the end of the yawning abyss barely bridged by light inside.
Ramjet's form twists, pulsates, and since Nemesis is so close, he'll be able to tell that the near-collapse seems to turn Ramjet into nothing so much as a seething mass of... well, tentacles.
It doesn't quite happen, but it's a clear impression of the shape of his energies.]
What I seek is what we fought for once, and yet what I seek is beyond that which even the end my master seeks does not reach.
What I want... [Oh, what he wants? That's a fragile thing, full of light and nothing. Once it would have been the simple gleeful destruction of seeing others crash - Unicron used that to lure Ramjet into service.
Now? Now that is too plain.]
You're wasting time, Prime.
[Ramjet shifts, off Nemesis and simply holds onto him, holding him up in the air. Might be able to transform now.
Maybe.]
no subject
-and while it takes a moment for him to utilize his freedom, he does, albeit belatedly. a slow transformation that's meant to establish he's not attempting to free himself so much as place himself properly, so that he can /now/ look down at Ramjet with narrowed optics, hands at the other's forearms to support himself.
the energy burns. his armor isn't unaffected, but it does hold, and the flaking of what paint he has on his hands and own arms is as nothing.]
Speak plainly, Ramjet. I cannot read processor, and yours would no doubt break anyone who could. And you forget that mine no longer function the same way it once did.
[similar, but still- not the same.
or maybe he just wants Ramjet to get to the point.]
no subject
... sitting on Nemesis in his altmode was just because it was funny, as far as these things go.]
No, it's... ah, quite clear it doesn't, Prime. [Ramjet stares for a moment, his colours flexing, bleeding and solidifying amid boils and some greenish... tarnish.]
... A cycle. Sit with me. [There's a slow, ripped-apart smile.] The original deal was I hold you for a day.
no subject
still. he considers it for a moment...then tilts his helm slightly.]
One cycle, and you take me to my destination.
[may as well try and bargain for a bit more.]
no subject
Ramjet laughs, shaking his helm slowly as his smile widens... and then the mask closes up.]
Why not. The surprise might be... gratifying to see.
[If Nemesis had been someone else, Ramjet might have asked for... more. For other things. But, whatever that has been - is still - between them, he cares too much to ask for that.
He doesn't know what it'd do, and he rather prefers Prime as he is.]
If nothing else, Prime, you will be among the last ones standing... [The last is a mutter, and briefly, Ramjet leans forward, almost touching their crests together before he steps back and puts Nemesis on the ground.]
no subject
and why not press.]
I intend to be. Need I ask the identity of whoever commandeered you for this?
[he doesn't /demand/ it, nor does he create an offer then and there- a simple probe as he regains his footing, pausing to run a brief systems scan to ensure he'll be ready to finish his mission once the cycle is up.]
no subject
Do you? [Stepping back, Ramjet circles Nemesis - it's predatory because Ramjet, in his current state and considering what he is and his position, can't really be anything else, even when overreacting, but there's no intent.
He's mostly doing it because Nemesis' current chassis is somewhat amusing, and he can't help but visually confirm it every time he gets a chance to.]
You're familiar with the beast that would seek to keep you from interfering, I believe.
no subject
wait
you've got to be shitting him. Ramjet is dealing directly- or indirectly- with that?
whatever good humor he had is gone, his doorwings tightening behind him in a mixture of alarm/disgust. but only for a moment; only until he remembers who he's talking to.
of /course/ Ramjet could, nevermind would. Nemesis shakes his head, not having bothered to turn to keep his optics on the other.
the...understanding between them is not quite trust, but it's there. the same reason Ramjet would refrain from pushing is the same that has Nemesis tolerate the jet at his back.]
I should not be surprised.
no subject
You should not, Prime.
At least you're still not foolish.
[If he was only a herald of Unicron, of course he wouldn't have done it unless bid to by Unicron. But he is not, and the abyssal itch, the screaming need takes him sometimes.
And he can still claim it would be for his master.]
At least the damage will not be as terrible as intended. There will still be threads to save... you still have... time.
[He comes back around and his grin this time splits his mask apart. It's funny, okay.]
