Entry tags:
To put it plainly:

-Post with your character and fandom, as well as any preferences.
-Go here and generate a random number between 1-10 for the setting
-If you want, you or the person tagging you can roll a number between 1-8 for relationship as well!
- You know what to do next, honey. Do hurry up, the night's not getting any younger.
Possible settings:
1. Crime Scene: Dead body? Burglary? Whatever the crime, the area's been sectioned off for officers to investigate this nefarious deed, and you're getting front row seat.
2. Bar: There's always some hole-in-the-wall frequented by all sorts. The bartender keeps an eye out for trouble, and other things. Of course he keeps an ear to the ground, but it'll cost ya. Perhaps a cop or two will show up demanding answers, but no one ever takes that seriously.
3. Docks at Night: The breeze caressing your face, the sound of the water, the boats passing by...maybe you were called here, or maybe you just like the peace it brings.
4. Alleyway: There's only one way in and out of this little corridor, and what happens in it is up to you and the other character. Just watch for the shadows, if you can see through the fog.
5. Detective's Office: Not too clean, not too messy. Just perfect for the person that's needed to get this mystery cleared up.
6. Rooftop: The wind dramatically blowing about, it's the perfect place to get that person to come and meet you so you can tell them what you want. Or if you're evil, why not kill them up here? It'll be hard to escape you.
7. Dressing Room: For some reason, you're backstage after a performance, and you've gotten into one of these. The mirrors, the costumes, the flowers from fans and the various personal affects...all are present and will be your silent witnesses to whatever occurs.
8. Hideout: You've gotten to the antagonist's spot of choice. Is this a glitzy nightclub with a private room, or is this an abandoned warehouse where they-or you-carry out their plot? The choice is yours.
9. Nightclub: Someone's showcasing their talent tonight, and you may or may not care about it. But it's classic, dimly lit, and it's easy to hide in here.
10. Free choice
Possible relationships:
1. Friends: Maybe you're an unstoppable team, or perhaps your relationship is getting strained. But whatever the situation, you know this person, and you'd be there for them.
2. Coworkers/teammates/classmates: You might not be friends, but you know this person well enough to remember their name. And right now you're being thrown together for a reason.
3. Lovers: This is the one you wanted to stay with for now. Married, dating, or maybe an affair, but you two care about each other enough.
4. Enemies: Utter hatred flows through your veins when you hear this person's name. This is the one you want to take down, and you just might stop at nothing to achieve your goal.
5. Family: Perhaps it's a sibling you're meeting. Or your parent, or some form of relative. Remember that phrase "blood is thicker than water"? It just might apply here.
6. Mysterious Stranger: Someone's been eying you from across the room, or you've been eying them. Will you two speak, or shall they float out of your life? Do they hold information you seek, or do they want something from you?
7. Femme Fatale: You are or have encountered a mysterious and seductive woman, whose charms ensnare her lovers in bonds of irresistible desire, often leading them into compromising, dangerous, and deadly situations. Watch out, you might just get yourself into a real mess of trouble, hot stuff.
8. Free Choice

[But he shakes his head a little, though if she's any judge of character, he hasn't let his guard down]
I think that whatever evidence exists needs to be presented for the jury to decide. That's how the justice system works.
no subject
But not everything is presented, and even the items that are can always be struck off the record.
[ One doesn't have to go the the pre-trial sessions to know that. The newspapers carry sufficient coverage of all the cases which affect the city.
Even when they leave a lot unsaid. ]
I so need more icons lol
That may be true, but give me a good reason that evidence should be withheld or potentially withheld. One that isn't just someone's reputation or a shift in government.
I know the feeling. 15 slots are never enough.
It's not like they're short of money or connections.
[ What that could entail, she'll leave up to his imagination. But people have killed for less, and to hell with whoever got caught in the crossfire.
The walls are thin, noise in one apartment would be heard down the hall. ]
In the long term, I hope you're ready for the war that follows.
[ She speaks sarcastically, but that will be what it is. A long, protracted war that makes it difficult for those uninvolved, even if no major shift occurs. ]
Plus I technically only have 13, with two of his 'partner' in there lol
I'm sorry, but I won't be cowed by threats. The law is the law, and whatever happens, happens.
But group photos!
Then I'm sure you can handle the consequences.
[ Whatever happens, happens. On that, they can agree.
The two steps she takes does not close the distance between them, but it lets her rifle through the contents of a side table - testing their weight. ]
Pft. Naw, just random. Closest I got to "group" is the Asleep icon, where Dee is cropped out
[He watches her quietly, as she happens to rifle through a bunch of bills and other unimportant paperwork. Is she testing to see what he'll do, or does she honestly think he'll be dumb enough to leave evidence lying around?]
would it be worth hunting down scans and cropping new ones?
It's the lamp she takes out first, whipping the ashtray forwards and ducking into a roll. ]
It's just being unlazy enough to make more lol
[Still, if she believes it's so easy to distract him, she's wrong. His gun comes up, eyes focusing in the dark as much as possible, and listening to try and determine her movements.]
Le sigh. That's always a problem.
The dark is no issue, not when she'd spent so much time memorizing the layout of the room. It's the floor she's wary of, a loose board could easily give her away. ]
Yup. lol
[Part of him is hoping that Bikky has left something on the floor, just out of her vision, like he tends to do. It's frustrating for Ryo, who is often the one to step on it at night, but would be of use now.
[Either way, he keeps his ears open.]
[ooc: I doubt you want her to trip, but if so, Bikky's a teenager who likes to roller skate, play sports, steal Ryo's stun gun...]
Got it.
It's slower now, knowing that she'll have to search out anything that might be scattered across the floor, but she's headed for the space behind the chair he'd occupied. ]
no subject
I apologize, but I'm gonna be spotty for the next while
She shuts her eyes, using the chair for cover as she unsheathes a knife, the items she'd picked up tossed around the floor. It means that he'll know where she is, but then, so does she.
She blinks hard, as if to adjust to the low lighting faster. She can't run straight at him, but getting shot in a limb would be an acceptable injury. ]
No prob. Ryo's voice fades sometimes
Let's stop this. I'm not giving you any documents.
I wish it was voice problems. Thanks for the patience
She gives herself ten seconds, before ramming the chair forward as hard as she can, throwing herself forwards and to the side. If she can, she'll try to disarm Ryo. ]
Hey, it's no issue :) This is for fun yeah?
ooc: Up to you if he hits :)
Still, appreciated.
Her would offsets her course, and she stumbles a step before launching herself forwards in a tackle, the knife thrown at him as she pulls another from a sheathe hidden against her thigh. ]
(ooc: Doesn't matter if the knife hits or not, if she succeeds, she'll be trying to knock the gun out of his hands.)
:) I'm always slow, especially with this guy so...
no subject
There's a long, shallow scratch from where the knife had hit the wall.
At this rate, she'll have to change up her plans, abandoning any attempt at subtlety in order to get rid of the letters.
At this distance she doesn't exhibit the same amount of care as before, the choice of grappling for a gun in easy reach or aiming for the softer areas of the body barely making a difference. She moves, dropping her shoulder and stepping forwards, the heel of her hand punching out with the hilt of the knife. ]
Back finally
His gun comes up again, firing, and aim not quite there.]
o/
She kicks out at the gun, half falling over him in her haste. ]

Or his genitals, she's not above fighting dirty. ]

And he'll try again to shift, to bring her on her back and pin her.]
