You've found yourself at an amusement park, and suddenly-- someone is guiding you towards a line. For whatever reason, you and someone else (possibly even a stranger you never met) are buddies for the ferris wheel. Whatever, it's just a short ride, right?

Except this Ferris wheel is magic. Towards the top you'll feel like getting close, and definitely like a power has overcome you. By all means, feel free to struggle, but once you get to the top it'll slow to a crawl. You two are going to kiss according to the powers that be, no ifs, ands, or buts.

This meme also doubles as an amusement park meme once you get off that awful ride! How about that? Now go have a magical night.

[That's a lie. She is, and she knows it. By now her face is red hot, and she stands up in the their small bucket - though this causes the bucket to rock, and shake her balance up.]

[Akiyama bristles; and his hands reach out to momentarily grasp Kaname at the hips to steady her from his seated position.] Alright, alright!

Just stop rocking the boat before you kill us.

[Akiyama knows that it'd take a lot more than a little sway to bring them down, of course. His words were more to prevent her from falling than anything.]

[In return she grabs him by the shoulders to steady herself. Her face tries to look undeterred, but her knees are shaking. Kaname gave herself a bit of a scare. She should thank him, but that's totally out of the question! Really she's trying to look angry about his accusation, but she can't help staring at his face, and letting her eyes drift to his lips.

She wonders if they're soft.]

[Her hold on his shoulders- as well as the expression on Kaname's face, momentarily give him pause. Akiyama looks up at the female curiously; eyes slightly wide as he stares up at her in anticipation. The delinquent falls silent as he simply watches her; his pulse just slightly quickened as he notices her gaze falling to his mouth.]

[Akiyama should probably move his hands, but he doesn't; keeping them settled on Kaname's hips.]

[While swallowing a nervous gulp she digs her fingers further into his shoulder. Her knees still feel weak, and she can't seem to tear her eyes away from him.]

I should- I should sit down.

[akiyamakun]

[His thumb, in a small motion, gingerly smooths itself against her hip. It's a light and unassuming bit of lingering contact against the fabric of her clothes- but it doesn't go any further in it's intimacy.]

...You should stay here for a while.

I don't want to stand up the whole time. It could be dangerous.

[Some how she finds her thumbs mimicking his, but when she catches it she forces herself to stop.]

Then sit here with me...?

[This is the closest he's been to her since... well, "sleeping with" her before, and he's finding that he really would prefer if it didn't stop now. -Not when she actually seems to want the same thing.]

...Fine. I guess I can.

[Kaname side steps a little so she can sit next to him. However her usual distance isn't present. Instead now they're mere centimeters from each other. She seems to be trying to avoid looking at him, but she always glaces back.]

[akiyamakun]

[Akiyama releases her hips so that she can take her seat beside him. But even after she does, Akiyama continues to stare as he previously had been- only, at a closer proximity of course. He rests his head in his hand; turned towards her, with his elbow propped up against the back of their seat. Yeah, you can look back as many times as you want- he's still gonna be watching you with an expectant look on his face.]

I don't know if it's a good idea.

[She fidgets in place. Maybe she does want to. But Kaname is the kind of person to deny herself what she wants - especially when it comes to other people. She is the type to make herself miserable while convincing herself it's for the best.]

[akiyamakun]

[Akiyama exhales. Finally breaking his stare, he averts his gaze.]

...You're running.

[pivotpoint]

What do you mean, "running"?

[akiyamakun]

Nothing. [He waves his hand, dismissively.] Never mind.

Just forget I said anything. [Turning to sit properly once more, he leans back to dejectedly slump against their seat.]

Don't you give me that!
[She grabs the sleeve of his shirt, and tugs on it.]

I don't get it when you say running! Running from what, you? You think I don't like you?
[Oops here come the feelings.]

[akiyamakun]

-!? [Akiyama blinks as he's jerked to the side a bit; eyes widening as he looks to her angry expression.] Huh..?

[Okay, what? THIS IS FRUSTRATING.] 'The fuck am I supposed to know??

You're the one who accused me of running, Akiyama! What do you think I'm running from? There's a lot of reasons a person wouldn't kiss someone, even if they liked them!

[She grows quiet. Kaname shifts uncomfortably in her seat before speaking up again.]

You ever heard of the saying, "It's better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all?"

I think the opposite.

[Akiyama raises a brow. Rather than asking for elaboration on who was 'lost', he states simply-]

I don't get it.

You're "losing" either way, right?

[You know its curious how the Ferris Wheel hasn't moved in all this time. Kaname doesn't pay much mind because she's wrapped up in this conversation. Though by meme rules it'll probably stay still until the requirement is filled. And it's not like it's impossible for Kaname to kiss people. It's just... difficult.]

[Akiyama looks out to their car door.]

If I randomly fell out of this ferris wheel right now, do you think you'd feel more relived this way? "At least I didn't kiss that guy"...? [It's an honest question.]
