This is the Sleeping Meme. Plain and simple, your character is sleeping with another one. While sharing a bed and sleeping together with someone is very intimate, smut is not necessary.

[ Dara raking her nails against his scalp just makes him moan louder. He wants to bring another orgasm out of her, that much is obvious once he's licked up everything he possibly can from her and focuses on her clit, flicking his tongue against it before sucking on it.

Her wiggling only earns Scott tightening his hold on her hips so the only way she can move is up against his mouth. He'll stop if she tells him to, but her responses tell him she likes it so he carries on. Gently, he starts to introduce his teeth by nibbling while looking up at her with glowing red eyes. ]

[ Dara lets out a breathless, high-pitched moan, legs shaking on either side of his head as he holds her in place. Her own eyes are shifting to that glowing blue to contrast his red ones.

[ The comment about breakfast earns him an amused sort of smile in spite of the playful roll of her eyes and she settles her hand on the back of his head. ...now what are they supposed to do? She realizes belatedly that there are two ways this can go now: awkwardly or exceptionally awkwardly. She only has so much control over which way it goes and supposes it'll depend on her reaction. Dara knows Scott is interested in her; she...is less so, if only because Scott has shown that he's the relationship type and Dara decidedly isn't, anymore.

It's easy to trust Scott because she knows that he's fundamentally good. He's made missteps, too, like she has, but he's never done anything inherently bad. That doesn't, however, mean that Dara's ready to throw away all of her trust and abandonment issues to embrace something more than she's used to with anyone, never mind specifically Scott, who is younger than she would normally prefer. ]

Which part? [ Scott figures she's probably talking about the last part but he can't help but smile cheekily like he thinks he was very good at all of it. ]

[ He's trying to keep the atmosphere playful and jokey. In an ideal world, he'd want a serious conversation about what just happened and declare this as the start of a relationship between them...

But Scott knows that's not going to happen. He knows Dara will probably want to play this like it never happened. He wishes she wouldn't but at least Scott has the memory of it. She can't take that away from him. ]

I owe you breakfast, don't I? Or has me being very good made up for me invading your bed? [ Even so, he still wants to buy her breakfast. ]

[ His cheeky grin earns him a wanton smirk in response. She can't tell if he's fishing or being confident. Either way, she's not giving in that easily. The second she strokes his ego is the second he'll latch on, she thinks. She probably should've assumed the second she wiggled back against him would be the moment he'd latch on. That's her mistake. ]

Well, thank you very much.

[ She, too, is attempting to keep her tone light and casual. She doesn't want to create an opportunity for Scott to open a discussion about what just happened and what it means. Dara doesn't know the answer to the latter question and they were both there to answer the first. It's a pointless conversation she doesn't want to have, so whatever it'll take her to avoid it is what she wants to do.

Dara had nearly forgotten about his promise to buy her breakfast because she'd let him sleep in the bed. She hums a little amusement and pulls away from him, leaning over the edge of the bed to retrieve her panties. ]

Well, I'm not gonna argue you getting me breakfast.

[ She can try retrieving her panties but it might be hard when Scott is looping an arm around her waist to pull her back from the edge of the bed so she can no longer reach them. ]

[ With a quiet laugh, Dara looks back at him with her eyebrows arched. ]

I would know, because I'd feel it and it's not a good feeling. I know this from laundry days. I'm not a fan.

[ She really needs to find a gentle way to shut this down now that it's over. She shouldn't have indulged herself, that was a mistake. This was a mistake, because now he'll think there's more to this than there is. The worst part is that he might not actually be totally wrong about that.]

[ Scott's about to call Dara a spoilsport until she's saved by the bell - that is, Scott's cellphone starts ringing. He picks it up from where he put it on the bedside table last night and accepts the call once he sees it's his boss' name on the screen. ]

Hey Deaton, is everything okay? [ Scott goes quiet as he listens to Deaton talk. ] Uh... yeah, sure, I can come in. I'll be there in half an hour. See you soon.

[ Scott hangs up, looking a little disappointed about what he's just agreed to because it means he can't buy Dara breakfast after all, but he'll always choose to help others over his own happiness. ]

Deaton wants help with something at work. Non-werewolf stuff. [ He adds so she doesn't worry that something supernaturally bad has happened. ] Sorry, I've gotta go.

[ He gets up to put his underwear on and it's probably a good thing that he has to leave because by the time he sees her again, his sex high would have worn off and he'll be back to normal, not so flirty with her. ]

[ The flicker of disappointment she feels when she hears Scott saying he'll be somewhere else in half an hour isn't one she's willing to let him see or let herself really acknowledge. This is good. This is better. Scott will go, and then the next time they see one another they'll be fully dressed and they won't have to talk about this again. At least, that's what Dara likes to think. It's better if they don't talk about it and they just let it go. Right? ]

No, it's okay, do what you have to do.

[ Her voice is light and she's careful not to make it sound relieved or disinterested, but she's feeling the relief of it — both the fact that he's going and the fact that he's distinguished that it's "non-werewolf stuff" — all the same. Things can go back to normal with their next encounter and that's better for them both, she thinks. Dara lets Scott get dressed before she moves for her own clothes again. ]

I'll see you later, though?

Yeah, I'll be back.

[ Once Scott is dressed, he's unsure how he's meant to say goodbye to her because words don't feel adequate enough. He wants to kiss her goodbye, that doesn't seem too out of place after they've just had sex, but it also seems like too much of a boyfriend-y thing to do and Scott has no idea what they are now, neither does he have the time to talk about it. Deaton's waiting for him so he can help with surgery on a dog. Scott has to go now.

The worse part is that Scott knows if they don't talk about it now, talking about it later is unlikely to happen. The longer they leave it, the more awkward it will be. Maybe Scott never wants to talk about it, if it means he'll never hear Dara tell him that it was just sex.

He thinks about leaving her some money so she can buy breakfast herself but that might come across as though he's just paid her for sex. Forgetting that idea, he picks up his phone and motorcycle keys, along with his helmet he brought in with him. ]

...See you later. [ After a small smile, he makes his way to the exit of the loft, sliding open the metal door which he closes behind him. Next stop, the animal clinic. ]
