[ You don't get that much time over during healthcare conventions, least of all when you have a subordinate with a sense of what's proper or not, that watches you like an angry hawk so you don't make any mistakes or miss any important seminars.

Souma, as grandson of the director of a big hospital, probably needed said subordinate as a chaperon, because the teen had the tendency to get in trouble in his dedication to help people. That his assistant was a cheerful rookie that ate every word Souma said didn't help, that was for sure.

Basically, it might not be the best for the hospital's image if word got out about Souma's relationship with an older man. But there was probably no one except the two of them who knew, and Souma always made sure to lose Kitashiro-san and Hiyo in case they were following him on the occasions he left for their meetings.

That meant that he was late at many times, which was a little disturbing but if he didn't shake them off, they might get busted. And he was late today as well, when he finally found his way to the right room. It wasn't that it was hard to find, because it was the same as always, since Souma didn't own a phone. But Kitashiro-san had been extra persistent tonight, but at least it helped to wear a suit among suit-dressed doctors.

When he closed the door behind him, and the lock clicked shut, the first thing he did was look out through the peephole to make sure he had definitely not been seen, and then sighed in relief. ]

Sometimes I think he'll never give up.

This guy though, he was weird. From the beginning, he hadn't been a target, and he had not intercepted her on her way to kill, but rather on her way back to the Kouga village.

She had been tied up before, and it was nothing that unsettled her. Getting out of bindings had been part of her training, after all. And sure, she had no idea where she was, but as soon as she was out of the space she was locked up in, she'd manage somehow.

Baren didn't like attachments, it was nothing that he ever felt - only toward his sister, because she was his best and only friend. And commitment was only boring, and he couldn't care less about something like that.

That meant that encountering someone who didn't really give a damn about such things was a good thing, according to the one-eyed man. Sharing a bed with a complete stranger was better than sharing one with someone who knew who he was. If anything, not being called things just for being born as a twin was a nice change, no matter what kind of sex he got involved in.

Sex was nothing new to him, despite being a priest.
