The Sad Things Meme
Sometimes you just need sad things. Sometimes you just need all of the things to break your heart. This is the meme for those times. This is the sad things meme.
How To Play:
A) Post a comment. (Please put character name and fandom in the subject line. You can put preferences in the comment itself if you have specifics you want/don't want)
B) Use RNG to get your number or pick a prompt.
C) Reply to others with that prompt.

The Prompts
1) See You Again: You've just come face to face with someone you never thought you'd see again and don't really want to see again. An ex. An old friend who betrayed you. A person who hurt you in some way or hurt someone you loved. The worst part is... despite it all you still care about this person. And maybe they don't feel the same.
2) Parting Ways: You've lost someone very dear to you. Or are about to lose someone very dear to you. Are you at their side in their final moments? Or are you mourning with someone over a shared loved one? Maybe you just need to cry on a friend's shoulder over the loss of someone your friend doesn't even know that well.
3) A Fading Dream: You had big dreams. To be a musician. To be an actor. To be a writer or a doctor or an athlete. Something has taken that away. You don't have the money to go to school for it or you've sustained an injury that ensures you'll never be able to do what you want. Maybe you just have to do something else because of what someone else wants.
4) Torn Apart, Forced Together: You have someone you love very much but you can't be with them. You have to marry someone else. An arranged marriage or maybe just you and your love are separated by social classes. Maybe there are expectations you have to live up to. Maybe you're in a loveless marriage when you find that special someone. Whatever the case, your dearest is being kept from you by something.
5) Life Out There: You're married to someone you don't love or you're tied down by children. You're kept under lock and key by someone with power over you. Maybe everything about your situation makes you feel trapped and you long for something more. But instead you're stuck in this dull life due to something or someone tying you down. It's caused bitterness. Resentment for this person. You want out.
6) Do You See Me?: You are desperately in love with someone who won't even look your way. They love someone else or maybe they only see you as a friend. Maybe they know. maybe they don't know. But you're hopelessly in love and they just don't love you back.
7) This Is Goodbye: A breakup is on it's way. Maybe you see it coming or maybe it's going to blindside you. Do you still love this person? Will you beg them to stay? Retaliate in anger? Try to force them not to leave? Or are you the one breaking up and they're holding on?
8) Illness: It's incurable. Maybe terminal. Maybe it's just making your life harder as the days go by. Cancer, depression, loss of memory... it doesn't matter what it is. Life is just not really a happy thing for you right now. And maybe you're making your loved ones miserable with it too.
9) In Pieces: There's been trauma in your life. A recent experience which left your life shattered and you don't know how to pick up the pieces. A break-in has left you feeling unsafe. You're being stalked. Someone is abusing you in some manner. You don't know how to cope.
10) Rock Bottom: Drugs, booze, sex. Whatever you can get to numb the pain. You just need this escape. But it's tearing your loved ones apart to see you slip further and further away.
11) All My Fault: Someone you love has been hurt and it's all your fault. Things have gotten difficult between the two of you. You want to comfort them but know you may just hurt them more.
