Surely she was seeing an illusion? He was never far from her mind and her heart ached every night as she slept in a bed alone - which was why, more often than not, she encouraged one of her handmaidens to sleep beside her. But no one could ever replace her Sun and Stars.
He was a piece of her heart that she would never recover.
Or so she had thought.
"Shekh ma shieraki anni?" her voice shook and she stayed where she stood. If this was a trick composed by one of the Wizards, she knew better than to run forward and meet it. Yet even Drogon - who was perched beside her - was not alarmed or threatened by this image.
"Is that you?" her darkest child unfurled his wings and leapt into the air, soaring towards Khal Drogo with a high shriek.
