04. Now you know why they call it the terrible twos. How are you and your spouse coping?
05. It’s your little one’s first day of school. You and your spouse are seeing them off.
06. Sitting in the stands for your kid’s big sports game. You two cheer as loud as you can!
07. The only thing worse than a two-year-old is a teenager. Time to discuss what's an appropriate punishment.
08. Hopefully you’ve got fresh batteries in your camera for prom pictures. Maybe your spouse remembered.
09. Your kid is off to college. You can’t believe the number of boxes you’ve got to fit in your car and carry to their dorm.

[She has an eight-year-old already, and she's also been considering a second child. So parenting is kind of a huge part of Karen's life. I'm okay with the kid being her pre-existing one or, if CR is assumed, it being a whole new one.]

[ooc: in her history she already has a daughter so is up to also deal with sibling rivalries. not the best mother in the world but will do her best to raise their child properly.]

[ooc: She already has a four-year-old little girl with her ex-husband, she tries to be there for her as much as possible but it's hard when you're the CMO on a Starship.]

never really done much m/f, but i'm a sucker for jim/bones in any state ;)

"I can't....seriously I can't, no kid should have lungs like that." Jim yells over the screaming child, with pillows over each ear as he turns toward his other half. He looks at the upset little boy throwing a temper tantrum, that Jim is pretty sure would rival his as a kid, but that will no be brought up, thank god his mom isn't here to witness it as he is sure she would be laughing about karma..or soemthing.

"I swear it's like I've got three kids instead of two." Lenore sighed tiredly as she threw back the covers, having gone through this with Joanna two years ago. "You stay there Jimmy, I'll see to your son."

She'd gotten to the stage that if their son played up, got in trouble or fussed like this then the little boy just belonged to him.

Jim just pouted at her as she walked away from him towards their sons room. He sighed after a moment and padded out after her, away from his warm bed and into the cold of the captains quarters..stupid ship...always cold.

He stopped by Joanna's room and checked in on her, who was still sleeping away, not fussed by the wailing going on outside...Lucky girl. He then makes his way over to the louder room and peered in, looking sheepishly at Bones from the doorway.

The CMO put her night robe on before padding silently to the noisy room, bending over the side of the cot to pick up the wailing toddler.

"Hey there sweetie, what's all the fuss about?" Bones asked softly with a surprisingly tender smile while gently holding her son against her, lightly bouncing as she walked trying to get him back to sleep.

[He's probably the pregnant one. Martians are weird.]

[ Danny already has a daughter who's about eleven, but I'd totes be open to him having more children. Anything goes! ]

[ Was supposed to have a baby but miscarried (this is also a trigger warning). I'm also not caught up with the latest season, for the record. ]

"You never talk to me like that." Jim jokes from the doorway, pouting to add to the effect, before coming further into the room, and using his thumb to wipe away the tears streaming down the littlwe boy's face.

[He's eleven, and it's his first day of school. Private school, of course, he's a Wayne and Gotham Academy is the most prestigious of them all. With his intelligence, despite his youth, it comes as no surprise that he is accepted into the seventh grade with a generous scholarship and with little dissent.

At least, not from the school. In his home world, his father had plenty to say on the subject of Damian attending school, worried about his ability to submit to authority and cooperate with his peers, that he'd be too bored by subject matter he's long since learned - and knows better than the teachers themselves. That there would be an incident.

Things are different, living in Earth 3. His guardian (though Damian needs no guarding) suggested that he, perhaps, might enjoy this chance.

He scoffed at that, denied any interest in such an exchange, but now, somehow, here he is.

If he is honest with himself, staring at the older students milling through the open gates from where he's standing stiffly next to the car, fingers tight around the straps of his backpack. he is, unexpectedly, terrified.]

Like sheep. [Disdain and arrogance - his fall-back.] Are you sure it's not too late [early, really] to patrol instead?

[ Mutsuki isn't the best person with guys, especially new ones. And when he and Danny adopts a pair of twin boys, with way too much energy, he isn't quite sure what to do. After a while, things get a little easier in terms of awkwardness when he handles them. But they're still a bigger handful than Tenka, and to Mutsuki, that says a lot.

When Danny comes home, he's chasing after one muddy child to get him in the bathtub to wash off, while the other is making a mess out of the bathroom. ] Hey, don't run around like that..!

[ For a long time, Grace was the very center of Danny's life. Then Danny's life took a sharp turn toward What-the-Fuck ville and before he knew it, he had two twin boys and a partner. (A partner in the way Rachel had been his partner, not in the way Steve is his partner. Although that's still awkwardly debatable.)

Not that he's really complaining. He's always wanted kids, more than one, and now he has them. Just maybe a lot sooner and in a different way than he ever thought.

He blinks in surprise when one of the twins streaks by him, squealing and absolutely covered in mud. There are unidentifiable noises coming from somewhere else in the house, but they don't sound good, and Danny has to close his eyes and take a deep breath. ]

Do we need to like, I dunno, get leashes for the twins? Personally, I have never agreed with people interchanging their children with dogs, but I'm thinking dogs are less likely to destroy the house.

[ Jesus, Grace was never this much trouble. ]
