"To see a world in a grain of sand and heaven in a wild flower, Hold infinity in the palm of your hand and eternity in an hour." -William Blake And then, the world ended.
Perhaps it was with a whimper or with a bang, but everything you knew is gone now. Yet life continues, as it always has. The world has been reborn. And you, somehow, you have survived all the destruction and have become a resident of the new clean slate of a world. How fortunate. Yet, this fortuity comes with a price: you are now one of the two remaining sapient creatures in this world. Yes, there are only two.
The pair of you do have a whole world to yourselves, or at least the expanse of a lush and tropical garden, very much like the Biblical Garden of Eden. There are trees and flowers and bushes as far as the eye can see, topping the rolling hills all the way to an azure shore. All of this seems to be untouched by man. And why wouldn't it be? The two of you are the first to tread on this land. You are the gods of this new world.
...or are there other gods, perhaps ones who are keeping this world safe for you and making sure the two new beings come together and fulfill their purpose as the new Adam and Eve of the world. The old, crumbling stone temple near the beach hints something like this. Why would there be a temple if there was nothing to worship?
But you have other things to concern yourself with.
Despite how you may have been in your old world, now you feel the need to stay with your single companion, whether it be an inexplicable magnetic draw or a need to survive. Certainly, it's easier with two people out here. You awaken without even the clothes on your back, and there is no technology, and powers are weakened. Thus, life must be lived as it was in the primitive days. Hunting, gathering, making clothes, and building shelter all must be done by hand, so it's better to have someone to help you. Perhaps one of you can hunt while the other mends clothing. Together, there is a better chance of survival, and this is needed. There are, after all, other creatures that lurk in the darkness. Like the ancient peoples, you'll find safety in numbers around the campfire.
The drive of survival is not the only force at work, though. The deity that has created this world for you has a goal in mind: they want to create a beautiful new place, inhabited by a society that is peaceful and loving and simple, like in the olden days. The two of you are the beginning of this new society and new world. To help things along, the air, the fruit, the water has all been modified for certain...beneficial properties. Certain fruits will make you have an attraction and affection, something almost like love or devotion, for your companion. Others will increase fertility. Bathing in or drinking water from any of the many streams can cause your body to change in many ways, from enlarged sexual organs, wider hips for birthing, to increased sexual appetite and stamina. But all of these things, food, water, and air will cause the most important change. You will forget. You will forget about your old world, your old life, your old lovers, your old friends. Such memories can only bring you sadness, and the new world needs none of that. Soon, the only thing on your mind will be how you dote on your companion, your workmate, your lover and the progeny the two of you will create.
Prompt Ideas( None of these are mandatory; rather, they are ideas that can fit in the setting. Feel free to play as if your character(s) have been here for as little or as long as you like, and you're welcome to play in media res with them already gone "native." )
SPRING 1. The Arrival You've just woken up and found yourself alone in this place with only one other person. 2. Exploration You learn the layout of the land or admire the beauty before you.
SUMMER 1. Offering You must go to the temple and make offering to the god of this world. This offering is not one of your crops or game, but rather one of your flesh. You must copulate for the honor of the gods. 2. Food for the Winter Whether it be hunting or gathering, you must get food for the cold months ahead. Be sure not to get distracted.
FALL 1. The Fruit of Knowledge Suddenly, you're awakened to just how beautiful and wonderful your companion is. How could you not have seen it before? 2. Mating Season The urges for sex are strong these days, almost...primal
WINTER 1. A Shelter from the Cold If you haven't already built one, you must build a shelter to protect you from the wind and snow. Or, if you have, it's a good time to stay indoors with you partner. 2. The Fruits of Our Labor Enjoy the food and resources you've put away for the winter. Of course, the fruit might have gotten a little stronger with age.

ooc - I wanted to make something that would have a similar "feel" to the Breeding Stable post, and I came up with this! Like that post, it has the potential for random pairings and the reason for interaction. There is also the drive for reproduction and for pairing off, though here it is more organic and much less at the forefront. You can take as much or as little of those elements as you want.
- As per usual, comment with your characters, using the regular format (Name | Canon | Preferences)
- You can leave your comment blank if you wish, but there are two other options. The first is to come up with a scenario, and the second is to fill out a short form to let others know about your character.
Character Name: Age: Yes: For kinks/ideas No: For kinks/ideas Short Description of Character: Nothing fancy. For example, "Sally is a tough pirate girl. She loves her friends and her pet parrot, Jimmy."
- Respect each other and have fun!

Tobias Eaton [Four] | Divergent
Elazul | Legend of Mana | m/m pref
Age: appears 19, is over 240 years old.
Yes: Spring, Summer 2, Fall, Winter. I enjoy hurt/comfort, bondage, consensual exploration of kinks, sensory deprivation, multiple rounds, and just general domesticity.
No: Kinks-wise, no toilet play, guro, death, weight play, nor food play (feeding each other in a non-sexual manner is fine.) Not sure if I'm even interested in Summer 1.
Short Description of Character: Elazul is from a similarly-lush world called Fa'Diel. For the longest time, he was mostly alone and only recently has come to be more open to trusting people. He has the power to restore life and health at the expense of pieces of his own. His heart, called a Core, is partially external. He also has some intimacy issues (not necessarily sexually) due to the fact that those in his world that cry for a Jumi turn to stone and lose their lives. He doesn't know that this curse does not extend to this new world.
Derek Hale | Teen Wolf | Closed
Spring - The Arrival
The answer to that last question is always yes, so it's a huge sigh of relief that escapes her lips when she finally spots a familiar form ahead. She moves faster, bare feet stepping through lush green grass. Where the hell did her shoes go anyway?]
Derek!
[She moves beside him, reaching out to touch his arm as she gets in front of him. He's solid. But that doesn't necessarily mean he's real.]
Where the hell are we?
no subject
Getting to his feet, he notes that at least he's not "wearing" what he fell asleep in — which is to say nothing at all — but is instead wearing a pair of boxer shorts and a white, wife-beater style tank top. The shorts have a button in the flap, which is not something Derek is used to, so they're not his clothes. That much is clear, but still...at least he's wearing something. Naked in a dream usually means something really bad is about to happen, in his experience, and if it was just as well with his subconscious, he'd like to skip it.
He's scenting the air and feeling a little overwhelmed by the mixture of sweet florals and the tang of salt water in the air when he hears her and turns.]
Lydia...?
[This is when Derek decides it isn't a dream, because if it is, then he needs to close the door on his offer for Lydia to crash out when she needs to be alone in a crowded room. He shouldn't be dreaming about teenage girls, most especially one he still doesn't particularly like, even if he's learned to respect and understand her.
But she seems confused, too, and that helps him with the decision. If this was a dream, he'd like to think at least one of them would know what the fuck was going on. So, Derek shakes his head. She's standing right beside him and he can only barely catch her scent over the assault of other foreign smells and, okay, that's a little weird, but he assumes he's just adjusting to the new environment.]
I don't know...
[He looks her over briefly.]
Are you okay?
no subject
The thought sends a small shiver down her spine and she pulls her hand back to wrap it around herself.]
I'm fine.
[She's not, actually. She doesn't know how she got here or why she's wearing this thin white cotton summer dress. She doesn't know why he's here or where the rest of the world is.
She purses her lips together, her eyes darkening as she reaches out and pinches his arm hard.]
no subject
We need to figure out where this is and why we're here. Preferably sooner than—
[The pinch hurt a lot more than he would've expected coming from her, although he attributes part of that to her fingernails. More over, it's unexpected. Derek jerks his head around to look at her again.]
Ow, what the hell, Lydia?!
no subject
I had to see if I was dreaming.
[She's pretty sure that if she was, Derek would've taken a much more sinister reaction. So far, so good. Still, she's not quite convinced. She needs more proof. She bends to pick up a stick and starts writing in the sand. When she's finished she steps back, revealing the word Lunatic written.]
It's not a dream.
[She glances over at him.]
Which means there's no explanation for what you're wearing. I guess I should just be grateful you're wearing a shirt this time.
no subject
So your solution was to pinch me? That doesn't even make sense.
[He watches her scrawling the word lunatic into the sand and has to bite back the urge to read it out loud in order to follow it up with a sarcastic comment in her direction. They're on good terms now; if for no other reason than to spare himself the ear pain if she gets pissed off and screams, he'd like to keep it that way.]
Because you can read and write or...? [Derek rolls his eyes.] You're lucky I'm wearing anything at all; these aren't even mine. They smell wrong.
no subject
She ignores the eye roll. If she actually started caring what Derek Hale thought of her, life would be unbearable. Her nose wrinkles in disgust at the comment about clothes and smell. Luckily she can't smell her own dress, which is definitely not her own. She reaches down and picks at the fabric.]
Well, this definitely isn't mine.
[She looks around the beach and towards the tree line.]
Do you think the others are here?
no subject
Her question has him shaking his head, scenting the air.]
I can't catch any of their scents, so if they are...they're not close... Come on, let's go. I'll see if I can pick up a scent if we move.
no subject
She falls in step beside him, letting him take the lead. All she really wants right now is to see Stiles and hear him try to reassure her while she pretends not to be freaked out. Derek is a poor substitute, but he's better than being here alone.]
Maybe this is a new reality series. Survivor: Werewolf Edition.
no subject
Well, if it is, they've done a piss poor job casting, considering you're not a werewolf.
[ All Derek can smell is the flora surrounding them and he knits his brow as they walk. It's like a fucked up dream except that it's real and he can't work out the reason behind it all. What's the catch? Why him? Why Lydia? what the hell is this place? And most importantly, why does Lydia smell like she's in heat right now when there's nothing about her tone or body language to suggest that she is? That's got to be in his head, it has to be. ]
You okay over there? Feeling normal aside from the fact that we have no idea where we are or why we're here?
[ He can't help asking. She's not...in heat right now, is she? Considering the fact that she's a human being. Do they even do that? ]
no subject
[Her voice sounds almost normal. This feels almost normal, throwing things back and forth with Derek. It's not quite banter and it's not quite friendly, but it's something to fill the silence.
She glances over at him, surprised at the concern. Her brow furrows slightly as she glances down, making sure there's nothing incredibly horrible she's missed, like a knife sticking out of her side or something like that.
There's nothing.]
I'm getting used to the idea that it's possible to wake up in some tropical local with a werewolf. I wouldn't classify that as normal, but I'm holding it together.
[It's as honest as she's going to get. There's more, but she hasn't quite pinpointed what it is. And it's not exactly the kind of thing that she would say to Derek. She swallows, her mouth dry.]
I'm thirsty.
no subject
You're the one who called it Werewolf Edition, not me.
[Lydia's response to his question takes Derek a little off-guard. It's not all that normal for her to be forthcoming. At least, not with him. He tells himself that it's because he's the only one to bounce the thought off of and looks ahead again, nodding acknowledgement and wetting his lips as he fights the urge to instinctively scent the air again. He doesn't want to notice the pheromones pouring off of her. There's a time and a place for all that and it sure as hell isn't here, now, or with Lydia.]
We're gonna have to keep walking until we find fresh water. You can't drink what's back there, it'll make you more thirsty.
