The Meet And Greet Meme For Characters
The Meet and Greet Meme
For Characters
[The Rules]
1. Find the thread for the canons/fandoms of your character. If you don't see one, make one!
2. Post with all of your character accounts. Yes, all of them. Throwing in your entire musebox is totally fine in this meme. (Please write down the name and canon/fandom of the character in the subject line, and also if they're canon, AU, crossover or OC, etc.)
3. AU characters are totally OK. Crossover/fusion characters may post at all the fandoms/canons their crossover/fusion is derived from. Fandom OCs may post at their fandom/canon's thread. Original Story/Universe OCs will have their own thread.
4. Tag around all over the place - Canonmates, non-canonmates, everything is OK!

[Small mouth, breasts, and all. Wherein Mycroft is possibly just saying things to please her. Which isn't always a bad thing. It's easier not to know someone's every honest thought about you.]
I'm sorry, a checklist? I'm not sure what you mean.
no subject
[He smirked faintly, as he guided them to a table.] I find it annoying but that's only because he's so good at parsing me. Not to mention dragging along people who are not afraid of me at all. Terribly annoying.
[He glanced over at her, before gesturing around.]
A checklist of, 'What I would do at a fancy party if I ever get into one'. You just covered number three in popularity, make a dramatic scene.
no subject
[Not when he's being purposely rude to her.
She sits down at the table he chooses as she listens to him with a slight smile. Yes, she would agree that Sherlock could be terribly annoying as well.]
I think your siblings are supposed to annoy you sometimes.
[She looks around at the party as he gestures to the room.]
I suppose I never expected to get into a fancy party like this.
[She shrugs. Molly comes from a working-class family and of course as a girl she would dream of being a princess or part of the royal family, but she grew up to be more realistic, hoping just to have a family of her own someday. Nothing fancy.]
I didn't realize I was supposed to have a list. Or cause a dramatic scene. That one was quite fun though.
[She smiles.]
Thank you for that, by the way.
no subject
[Mycroft gave her a thoughtful glance, before he nodded his head.]
I suppose so. At any age, in any context. Perhaps it is in the unspoken sibling contract.
[He tilted his head, before he spoke frankly.]
I'm rather surprised at that. I would have thought some kindly but bookish lawyer type would have tried to impress you with a fancy party.
[He smirked, letting it quirk up his lips, before he looked towards that group again. Something hard flashed over his gaze.]
Well, they were being boorish, and there is nothing I find more appalling. Outside of stupidity, of course.
no subject
[She wasn't particularly impressed by her date or the party really. A lot of dressed up people talking about themselves or their "enterprise" or their last holiday to Laos or Tahiti. Not really her type of crowd.]
no subject
[He glanced over to her, then back to the other party goers.]
What else were you to do this evening, Ms. Hooper, since I have shanghai'd you from your previous engagement?
no subject
[She looks down at her dress. She'd splurged on the gown, knowing she had a wedding in the fall she could wear it to as well.]
Thank you.
[Her gaze follows his as he looks around the party.]
Oh, it was just the party.
no subject
[He looked at her with a thoughtful gaze, before he cleared his throat.]
Well, since I seem to have stolen you, it appears you are my date this evening. So, in regards to this party, would you like to be introduced around? Perhaps more drinking? I am unaware of any dancing but I assume it is happening somewhere...
no subject
[She's still a bit pink about the ears though, for essentially using the man to go to an exclusive party.]
Oh...you don't have to go through any trouble. [The idea of being introduced around in a place like this is vaguely terrifying. So many opportunities to make a fool of herself.]
It's lovely even just people watching at something like this. Although I guess another drink wouldn't hurt.
no subject
[Well, it is delightful to be around someone who is embarrassed by using someone else. Something of a fresh perspective, really.]
It is not any trouble at all ...[he pushed himself to his feet.] A drink, at the least, I can do. And some food?
no subject
Food is probably a good idea.
[More wise than having a third drink on a mostly empty stomach.]
no subject
So, he considered as something of a 'break' from the Iceman, and just allowing himself to be Mycroft, his mother's son who taught him to bring a lady her drink and a plate of food.]
There you are... I must say, I usually avoid the food at these parties.
no subject
[She gives him a smile before taking a sip of her drink, but then she tilts her head at him.]
Why? Is there something wrong with it?
[She looks at the plate of elegant finger foods, trying to find fault. Or maybe he worries about people touching his food and germs. That seems like something that might be a Holmes-type issue.]
no subject
[Look at that, simple gratitude for a simple act of gentility.]
Hm? Oh no, it's perfectly fine. It is just out of my diet.
[He gestured to all of it.]
I have a very ... rigid caloric intake.
no subject
You don't ever just...cheat?
[Maybe it's just because she doesn't ever go to something like this and it's a special occasion for her, but she can't imagine being so good. In fact, she's not going to be.]
I mean...you don't look overweight or unhealthy to me.
[She starts in on her own plate because she's suddenly starving and feeling the alcohol a bit.]
no subject
Do you how unkind Sherlock can be to you for your flaws, without meaning to?
[He gestured to himself.]
Imagine what he does to his hated older brother.
[He tilts his head, pleased.]
I work very hard not to look either, actually.
[He sipped his drink again, smoothing down his waistcoat a touch.]
no subject
[Whenever she'd seen the two interact they'd always seemed mostly indifferent or disdainful about the existence of the other (although she knew they both cared about one another in their own way). It surprised her to find out that Mycroft could also be hurt by the things Sherlock said.]
And I don't think he hates you.
