Pretty self explanatory, right. You've done something or someones done something to you, and a time out happens.

Just post whether your character is giving the time out or getting the time out, and any other preferences you have.

Yeah, yeah...I know. I get it! Seriously...

[Sheesh, this was pretty tough to sit through, even though in all honesty he really did deserve it. But when the fate of the world's at stake, who has time to sit and think things through?]

But...at least I didn't toss her around *too* badly, right? I don't think that Mitsuru person looked that banged up after I chucked her into that wall...

[But of course, he was planning to do much worse to her...and would have if Labrys hadn't stopped him. His mentioning of Mitsuru's survival was an attempt to put a positive spin on things, but as soon as it left his mouth, he realized it was probably counter productive to that. Living alone in a post-apocalyptic future had a tendency to have a negative impact on your social skills.]

[When a girl that is designed for combat has better social skills that you, Silver, you know you need... to take a class or something, man. xD]

Oh THAT'S IT buddy! [Seriously? With a callous remark like that it was a wonder that Labrys didn't rough him up worse. But if he still hasn't learned his lesson, then this means... more drastic measures.]

[The glint in her eye was practically scary when she opened the door.]

Step outside. We're going for a walk.

Yeah, uh...do we have to?

[Yeah, Silver *definitely* realized that he said something he really shouldn't have. But, there was probably no getting out of it now. He didn't want to cause more problems, and in spite of his ruthless tactics he *was* a decent guy...just one thrown into confusing and dire circumstances.]

Sheesh. Okay, okay...I'll go. Just...take it easy on me, okay?

[Might as well get it over with. Then hopefully he could return to his quest for the Iblis trigger.]

[So he takes him outside... down the hallway, to the right... and there's a door. While most of the Kirijo compound is clean and pristine, this door had a slightly grungy look to it. It's been used a lot. Clearly what has been behind this door... was something dark and probably very dirty.]

[She opened it and that last part appears very true -- it's a janitor's closet. She pokes around for a minute, her large metallic wings moving as she goes up and down the rows of cleaning products. Ah. Here they are. But before she's finished there's the sound of flowing water... and something being filled?]

[If Silver was curious by now he needn't wait long. Labrys produced for him two rather large buckets, filled to the brim with water. She offered both of the handles to the pale hedgehog.]

Here. Hold onta these for me, will yahs?

[For a good chunk of time, Silver couldn't help but feel rather apprehensive about Labrys's intentions. The abandoned hallways, the slightly-battered mysterious doorway...not to mention how Labrys seemed preoccupied with filling up *something* with some kind of liquid.]

[He highly considered trying to make a break for it, when Labrys stepped away from the door with buckets of water. The relief on Silver's face was plainly visible.]

Huh? Just water? Er...sure, I guess.

[Silver took the buckets of water -boy, were they heavy!- in each of his hands, but he still looked rather confused. Was this some weird custom the people around here had?]

[Labrys nodded as the hedgehog picked them up. Then she leaned back against the wall--after unhinging her axe, of course--and kept her eyes trained on Silver's.]

So you mentioned Idiblis... Ilid... Edibles... something or other... what is that? It must be pretty serious if you were gonna off my boss.

[Oh, so...he was just supposed to stand her hold these things? Okay...these buckets *were* heavy enough that holding them up could be considered punishment. Silver had no school experience what so ever, so this little disciplinary custom was new to him.]

Iblis? Yeah...that monster is really awful. Where I come from, his mere existence was enough to burn down the world. It was all pretty hopeless...but I got a chance to come back and make it right! The Iblis Trigger I was talking about is the person responsible for awakening him and causing the world's destruction. Some stuff I read back in the future seemed to point to that Kirijo person...I thought if I destroyed her, I'd save my future.

[Kirijo certainly didn't *seem* like a person who'd end the world on a whim. The -very fractured- notes concerning the Iblis Trigger suggested that the foe was practically evil incarnate.]

[A future in peril. Heh. Labrys would laugh if it wasn't for the fact that she herself had almost caused such a calamity. Who knows. Maybe she could have been the Iblis Trigger to this guy. Still, she couldn't fault him for trying to protect the world. Though she was a new resident in it, the more she found out about it, the more she wanted to protect it.]

[Her words were softer, though still holding a slight edge. She was still mad at Silver, after all.]

Are you sure dat's how it works though? Maybe killing a "trigger" will be what causes this thing to appear. Didja ever think of that?

Well, I...

[Truth be told, he *hadn't* thought of it like that. In hindsight, it seemed so obvious and straightforward. Find the Iblis Trigger. Kill him or her, and the future would be saved. His world would finally know peace after decades of torment. He was so desperate for a solution he didn't think on any consequences.]

...I guess I didn't. I wanted to stop Iblis so bad that I was really hoping the direct method would work.

[Suddenly, the buckets of water he was holding started getting a bit heavier...or was that just his guilt?]

I'm not sayin' that you shouldn't be out lookin' for this Edible Trigger guy or nothing, but death is a pretty serious thing! You should be sure what you're doing or else it's going to just eat you up inside.

[She pauses looking at her own hands. It's funny. Even though she knew that they were still a part of her, no amount of forgiveness could ever undo what she did. It was something that would be a part of her for the rest of her life.]

Maybe it would work, though. I don't know. Maybe it's worth it to you. It sounds like you have a good enough reason.

[Labrys looked pretty forlorn for some reason, and even some one as clueless as Silver realized that the robot-girl was probably speaking from experience of some kind.]

Yeah...it's good advice. I'll keep that in mind for next time, miss.

[His mission was obviously too important to give up on, but it wouldn't hurt for him to be smarter about it. He certainly didn't want to kill any innocent people.]

Er...tell Miss Mitsuru I'm sorry for trying to kill her, okay?

Tell her yourself. She's going to talk with yah after a while. We're mostly waitin' on her.

[In fact Mitsuru was almost everything Silver wasn't. Though... the muttering of 'executions' does not paint a vision of a happy future in Silver's short-term longevity.]

[Labrys felt the kindest thing to do was to not mention that at all.]
